A wild and crazy ride focused on three rich trophy wives.
Georgia is accused of killing her first husband and marrying a second man who also ends up dead within a year. Her current fiancé goes missing, a potential drowning victim.
Erin is a disgruntled news personality who feels disrespected and walks off the job. She is Georgia’s best friend. Her husband Mason is a turd.
Brooke, the younger size 4 voluptuous wife recently moved across the street from Erin and is the envy of the other trophy wives.
These gossipy women will become forever intertwined as their escapades and manipulations escalate. A good diversion and summertime read.
BOOK REVIEW! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Book 50 of 2021. I was sent a widget to read this arc and I’m SO glad they sent it to me! Such a fun and drama-filled read!
It’s all about abuse and death, but it isn’t heavy at all, which seems strange, but I really enjoyed it.
When a new couple moves into the posh neighborhood where the infamous “Black Widow” lives, things just keep getting weirder and more complicated for everyone.
The story is told from the perspective of three women, Georgia, Erin, and Brooke, who are stuck together through thick and thin. It’s fun to get to read how each one feels about the others in this sinister tale. There are a few fun twists/surprises to keep stringing you along, as well!
I absolutely love reading about lifestyles I could never have - I like to live vicariously through the characters. The cars, the yachts, the clothing! I love it all. In this case, though, I think I’d rather stick with my own life. 😂
Delicious gossip, designer clothing, and devious women make up The Sinful Lives of Trophy Lives.
Sucked in immediately, I was enthralled by the dynamics between our main characters- Brooke (the new girl), Erin (TV hot shot) and Georgia (the Black Widow).
Therapy, a third wedding, plastic surgery and of course all the drama fill the pages of this glorious novel. I loved the ending and the darkness hidden in the glittering lives of the rich. Can I get a sequel, please? One book just wasn’t enough!
This novel has everything, I mean everything a guilty pleasure should have. Over the top women, money drips from their fingertips in the luxury condos they call home in San Fransico.
Presidio Terrace had secrets before the trophy wives Erin, Brook, and Georgia are even introduced to us.
Here at the Terrace, we dive deep into the lives of these three women. We learn what makes them tick and what ticks them off. The liquor they need the attention they demand from husbands that hold the lifestyle they are used to in the palm of their hands....and checkbooks.
Real House wives come to life, so to speak, in the Bay area.
All the drama picks up speed at an engagement party that takes place where else...nut on a luxury yacht. But everyone that should be in attendance...is not. What happened? DO the rich have the same laws and morals us mere pheasants adhere to?
This book is dark, kitschy, and fun. I will reread and I will definitely look up other novels by this author to see if her other stories are as clever and as original as "The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives."

Man, this was an absolute wild ride and I loved it. This was such a fun book to read and get lost in. Drama! Drama, everywhere! Look, if you love some drama in the vein of Real Housewives... Actually, Desperate Housewives (remember that show?), then you will love this. There is honestly never a dull moment in this one and you will constantly be second-guessing all three ladies that this novel focuses on.
These are generally unlikable characters and yet... you still kind of like them? At least, I did. While they are more or less possible villains, each is painted with a depth that makes you appreciate them despite any apparent shenanigans. You also end up caring about the situations they find themselves in. Again, while I did not like them, I appreciated them. And look, these shenanigans are wild and I love some good wild shenanigans.
It is not a perfect read and it is one that you really should not think too hard about or you might question some things, but this is a perfect poolside read. It is also a perfect read when you are sitting in the doctor's office stressed and need a good distraction (speaking from personal experience). I needed this book and this book delivered right when I needed it.
Flashy! Vapid! Self absorbed! Dramatic!
Just a few words to describe the majority of the characters in this new book by Kristin Miller. It is a fun read, but not one I could not put down.
If you are looking for a vacation red, I do recommend it.
The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is told from the perspectives of three female friends living in the same elite housing development who are hiding secrets, even from one another. Their lives read very much like a soap opera.
Although it was an enjoyable read, some occurrences in the book seemed unbelievable. For example, how do you get away with either murdering or having multiple people murdered in a short period of time? I questioned two of the women being considered trophy wives as one was a published author; the other an anchor on the evening news.
With this being said, I was taken in from the first chapter and anxious to see what transpired for the three main characters until the end. There was also an Interesting twist at the end that I did not see coming.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. All opinions above are my own.

Dang, The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives was a wild ride! I thought the first 1/3 of the book was slow, but boy did it pick up. The twists and turns were fantastic, and while I saw some of them coming there were definitely some surprises! Perfect for those who like a good whodunit/thriller, I could not put it down for the second half of the book.
tw: domestic abuse & death
Thank you to Random House Publishing, the author and NetGalley for providing a copy to review!
"The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives" by Kristin Miller is the perfect beach read. It's not profound or thought provoking by any measure, but it is a fun, juicy read that will keep a reader entertained for hours. The story centers around Brooke, the young wife of a billionaire, who is new to the swanky, gated community of Presidio Terrace. She quickly befriends two neighbors; Erin, a news anchor who is much more insecure about aging than she lets on, and Georgia, who is engaged to be married after her two previous husbands died under mysterious circumstances. Of course, drama ensues and the reader discovers that everyone has secrets, and that money truly doesn't buy happiness.
This book is the perfect follow-up to a heavier read, or if you are just in the mood for something light, easy, and fun. Though the characters aren't particularly well-developed and the plot was a bit unbelievable at times, it's still a fun way to pass the time.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the opportunity to read an advanced digital copy of this book, in exchange for my honest review.
The title The Sinful Lives of Trophy Lives called to me from the shelves of Netgalley. Maybe its because I came from the 80's and loved all the glitz of glamour of Dynasty and Lives of the Rich and Famous - but I love this type of book.
This book was a great beach read for me - a bit frivolous but also fast paced and part thriller. Brooke with the controlling husband and Erin, the TV anchorwoman have various issues with their husbands and lives, But when Georgia moves into the neighborhood - rumored to be a "Black Widow" - they are immediately intrigued.
Kristin Miller writes an well-crafter story that weaves together alternating points of view from each female, it is an entertaining read and fun.
Thank you to the author, publisher and Net Galley for providing a free e-book ARC copy of this book in exchange for my review.
This book showed up on a lot of lists and newsletters for this summer, so I was excited to get approved for an ARC copy of the book. I see the 4 & 5 star reviews for the book, and so many who seemed to really love the book, but I felt like I was reading a totally different book. This was no where near a 4 star book for me. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I found nothing gripping or page turning in this book. I didn't care for any of the characters and the writing itself seemed really flat and 2-dimentional.
I did finish the book, but it was a chore for me to finish the book. Had it not been an ARC, I would have quit reading around 20% into the book because it just really did nothing for me.
For me, this was a 1 star book, 'did not like it'
This book was a roller coaster ride! I was trying to stay two steps ahead of the plot the entire time, and all of my Holmesian deductions proved completely wrong. The fact that I was guessing until the very last page means that the author did a phenomenal job of tricking me.
Brooke becomes the third Musketeer to a bond straight out of the pages of a glittering crime novel. In fact, the over-the-top characters of Erin and Georgia would translate into the perfect heroines of her next novel. What Brooke doesn't count on is that the sins of these women hide the sins of others. She doesn't expect their crimes to be acts of desperation and freedom.
When Georgia's soon-to-be husband disappears from his yacht after a raucous engagement party, she is immediately implicated. When Erin quits her job, she is convinced that it is the perfect way to mend her marriage. When Brooke ingratiates herself to Georgia as an ironclad, unruffled confidante, she is certain her actions are for research purposes.
What happens when the three women with resources and cunning and a love of both independence and macabre, yet neatly tied-with-a- bow solutions, become friends? A deep-dive into the ugly beneath the facade.
A huge thanks to Ballantine and Netgalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
This guilty pleasure is set in a rich gated community where everyone seems to have everything. Centered around three trophy wives, all with different relationships, they come together to solve a mystery.
Told from the perspective of each trophy wife, this book will keep you guessing till the very end!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.
Wilding entertaining and completely unexpected!
Brooke moves into a ritzy neighborhood with her tech billionaire husband. She has heard rumors about The Black Widow next door, Georgia, who had 2 husbands die shortly after marrying her. Her other neighbor, Erin, is a gorgeous TV anchor. What is going on in this neighborhood? What happened to Georgia's husbands?
This is one book that I would really enjoying reading again! It was told in multiple POV's so it was refreshing rotating between Brooke, Erin, and Georgia, and it was a quick read. This would be an excellent choice for Book of the Month especially if you want to pick up a book and chat about it with your friends. It was very entertaining and had a bit of the glimmer and glam associated with the lives of the wealthy. But is all that glitters gold? Guess you will have to find out by reading this book! The storytelling was excellent, and the characters were well-developed.
Overall, love this! Perfect to give out as a gift!
*Thank you, NetGalley, for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my fair and honest opinion.
The Sinful Loves of Trophy Wives is a fast-paced book that will keep you guessing until the very end. I thought I had an idea of what might be going on between Brooke, Erin, and Georgia, but I was glad to not only be proven wrong, but also be thrown completely for a loop with the reveals throughout the book.
I liked that the story alternated between first person point of views from Brooke and Erin as secrets from their lives and those around them are uncovered. And while some plot points may seem crazy and the characters even crazier, it completely works in this book. I highly recommend going in blind and just watching the soap opera unfold on the pages. This will be the perfect book to read at the pool or beach, or really any time you want to escape reality and go behind the closed gates of Presidio Terrace to see the mischief the residents get into.
Friendship, jealousy, betrayal, ulterior motives, loyalty and blackmail, a murder mystery has never been so much fun! Miller’s plot is twisted but it’s execution is light which blends together a truly entertaining mystery. The characters are flawed but real, and their personalities play off of each other as friends in real life do. Definitely a great summer read.
✨ Brooke has hit a writers block when she moves to Presidio Terrace, THE most exclusive and private neighborhood California has to offer. She befriends Georgia and Erin, the housewives of this Wisteria Lane, and the perfect muses for her new book. Georgia is beautiful, young, and about to marry her third husband. The first two… lost their lives tragically. Erin, the President of the neighborhood association, just wants her husband Mason to act like he loves her. She quits her job to be able to dote on him, only to be pushed away even more. The three make a dangerous trio, as when they’re all together on Georgia’s fiancé’s yacht, someone else goes missing.
A twisty tale of not so nice rich women in Presidio Terrace, San Francisco brings to mind Housewives of Orange County, Atlanta or NYC. Brooke, a newlywed and writer becomes friends with Erin, a news anchor, and Georgiaknwon as the Black Widow, having buried two husbands. And Georgia is due to marry again! Will the third husband meet the fate of the others? A tongue in check story would make a fun beach read..
Thank you to NetGalley, Random House/Ballentinebooks and Kristin Miller for the arc.

After a tragic accident occurs, the community begins to wonder if Georgia has planned another tragedy as the “Black Widow,” or if there was simply some kind of accident.
My Thoughts:
Thanks to Netgalley for an advanced reader’s copy of this novel.
The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is a mix of “The Real Housewives” shows on Bravo and a bit of some nighttime dramas like “Desperate Housewives,” Knots Landing” and “Dynasty.” Some of the events that happen are a bit over the top.
It is a fun book if you accept the fact that it is very much like a soap opera. The was one big twist at the end that actually surprised me! I thought it would be more predictable, but Miller got me with the twist!
The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives will be released on July 21, 2021.
This was the perfect summer read — a fast-paced thriller in a glittery, something-dark-lurks-beneath-the-perfect-surface setting. I read it in a day and a half.
While I did love the setting and the deliciously mischievous characters, I thought the story missed the mark on many of the "big reveals." There were plenty of twists in the story, but there wasn't a lot of suspense leading up to those reveals, so I wasn't super shocked when "shocking" things happened.
I also didn't quite understand the characters' motivation. They were fun characters for sure, but they didn't feel real or compelling in any significant way. The story was interesting, but there were plenty of details that could've been expanded and suspenseful moments that could've been extended. The writing was lacking, though I did enjoy the book for what it was.
