This was a great pager turner! We join in on the lives of the Presidio house wives Georgia, Erin, and Brooke.

Brooke is the newbie in the neighbor. She is a novelist by night, but by day is just trying to quietly fit in.

Erin is a news broadcaster, and the neighborhood association police, wanting to be the one in control of everything.

Georgia is moving onto her 3rd husband and is trying to break the vicisous cycle, and title, of being the Black Widow.

Just how much trouble can they get into?

There were some plot holes for me, but ultimately I still enjoyed this read. There were some unexpected and unpredictable moments that made up for it.

Looking forward to seeing what Miller comes up with next.

This releases on July 20, 2021.

Special thanks to Random House Publishing, Ballantine Books and NetGalley for the ARC for my honest opinion of this book.

Ok ladies! This book is a deliciously evil book. I still would love to be a "trophy wife", but ladies, and their rich men beware. Nobody knows what goes on behind the closed doors of people's marriages, but this book....Good Lord there is bad behavior. Funny enough, if it was nonfiction, I'd probably believe it, because nothing surprises me anymore.

When I said this book is deliciously evil, it reminds me of the craziest episodes of "The Housewives of Beverly Hills" and other rich people and the lengths they will go to So they stay, spoiled, evil and loaded.

It's a great book to read when you want to sit back and enter the evil world of the rich and how truly lucky us normal people are. Still I think being a trophy wife has its benefits, but I think I'll stay in my middle class humdrum life. It's so much more fun to read about the craziness!

Another good book you don’t want to miss! The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives by Kristin Miller was a fun read, much like a dramatic soap opera or even better, The Real Housewives. In fact, it’s not hard to imagine this as a tv series.

The story centers around three very wealthy women: Georgia St. Claire, Erin King and Brooke Davies. The book is told from the point of view of each woman.

Here’s what you need to know:

Mystery writer Brooke Davies is the new wife on the block. Her tech-billionaire husband, Jack, twenty-two years her senior, whisked her to the Bay Area via private jet and purchased a modest mansion on the same day. He demands perfection, and before now, Brooke has had no problem playing the role of a doting housewife. But as she befriends other wives on the street and spends considerable time away from Jack, he worries if he doesn’t control Brooke’s every move, she will reveal the truth behind their “perfect” marriage.

Erin King, famed news anchor and chair of the community board, is no stranger to maintaining an image—though being married to a plastic surgeon helps. But the skyrocketing success of her career has worn her love life thin, and her professional ambitions have pushed Mason away. Quitting her job is a Hail Mary attempt at keeping him interested, to steer him away from finding a young trophy wife. But is it enough, and is Mason truly the man she thought he was?

Georgia St. Claire allegedly cashed in on the deaths of her first two husbands, earning her the nickname “Black Widow”—and the stares and whispers of her curious neighbors. Rumored to have murdered both men for their fortunes, she claims to have found true love in her third marriage, yet her mysterious, captivating allure keeps everyone guessing. Then a tragic accident forces the residents of Presidio Terrace to ask: Has Georgia struck again? And what is she really capable of doing to protect her secrets?

This is a fun, wild ride of a story and I think just jumping in without knowing a lot before you read is best. It comes out on July 20!

The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is so over the top "cray-cray" it has no business working as well as it does. There are a ton of reality shows about women who have too much time (and money) on their hands-the setting here is San Francisco. The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is a hybrid of "The Real Housewives" franchise and Robin Hood-an unexpected combination that blends into a thoroughly enjoyable read. You do have to transcend reality to appreciate The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives-but let's be honest-there's nothing "real" about The Real Housewives, so it's easy to overlook the glaring flaws in the plot. What's most surprising about The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is at its heart it actually does have a soul. But is it ever ok to do the wrong thing for the right reason? The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives is a short, fun escape from the ordinary. It's a place that's nice to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.

Erin, Georgia, and Brooke are three trophy wives living in a luxury, gated community where the inhabitants are rich and/or famous. Erin is a news anchor married to a successful plastic surgeon, Georgia is known as the "Black Widow" after her the death of her first two, very rich, husbands, and Brooke is the young wife of a tech mogul. On a yacht celebrating Georgia's upcoming third marriage, her fiancée disappears, and thus the drama begins.

It's quick, and it's scandalous. Like other reviewers said, very reminiscent of a soap opera or episode of Desperate Housewives. Really, that's all there is too it. Majority of the characters are terrible people, the drama is crazy and often unbelievable, yet it's still got an element of fun to it. Perfect for a vacation/beach/summer read.

I have literally no words for this book other than it is phenomenal.

I saw the title and cover and thought... maybe?!?! And then read the excerpt and said, “oh hell yeah!” And dove right into a psychological mind bender that Kept me up into the wee hours of the night just so I could fill in all of the gaps in the story!

The author did such a brilliant job of writing Brooke, Georgia, and Erin that I didn’t mind the multiple perspectives. It was great getting into their heads and seeing what it was like living in the rich end of the block.

The writing was witty and felt like I was truly in a soap opera. I loved the fast-paced nature of the novel. There weren’t many slow points and the witty punch lines between the main characters kept me flipping the pages. This has to be on everyone’s TBR list.

I received an ARC from netgalley for review.

When newlywed Brooke and her husband move into an exclusive neighborhood in northern California, Brooke quickly becomes friends with neighbors Georgia and Erin. Georgia is known by some in the community as the Black widow after two of her husbands have died leaving her millions. Erin is a news anchor and head of the neighborhood association. The women quickly bond as Georgia prepares to marry husband number three. Unfortunately someone has other ideas.

This is the first book I have read of Miller's and it was phenomenal. The juicy lives of these rich women and the numerous plot twists made this a guilty pleasure. I would definitely recommend for anyone's summer read.

I received and advanced copy of this book for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.

OH THIS BOOK! I had major Real Housewives meet soap drama and I am here for it! This book was so yummy and fun. I had to turn pages so fast to keep going to find out what happened. The characters were crazy and the story line was clever!

This book was a total surprise. When I started it I was expecting chick lit and what I got was a well written thriller. When I started this book I was introduced to typical rich upper class spoiled trophy wives. One was nicknamed The Black Widow because 2 previous husbands had died under mysterious circumstances. She has twofriends who are also main characters. None of the marriages of these 3 are as they appear. What proceeds are twists and turns dealing with kidnapping and attempted murder. This book blew me away.. I am a new fan of Kristan Miller

This book was quite different from most of the books I read, but I thought it sounded like a nice change of pace. And a change of pace it definitely was. It is written in such a way that it's hard to put down and while I couldn't really relate to the characters it was an interesting look into the world of the very rich. I also got caught up in the mystery and in trying to guess what would happen next. The ending did frustrate me, however, because give what we had been led to believe about certain characters the ending didn't match up.

I've only spent 25% of this book with these women and I love them already.

So catty, so witty, and so, so petty!

I L O V E D this book.  It was funny, fun, and light, like watching reality TV with a buzz.  Cotton candy but also some sharp turns.  Would definitely read more by this author and highly suggest as a light summer or vacation read.

When Brooke moves into the fancy, posh neighborhood, Georgia and Erin are ready to pounce. But as the three of them become closer, and secrets are revealed, everyone may not be as they seem. I loved The SInful Lives of Trophy Wives. The novel is addicting, clever, and a perfect escape. Thank you, NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book.

Books that portray women as masterminds of brilliantly carried out plans make me so happy that I literally and deviously Laugh Out Loud as I am reading the book. And Kristin Miller's novel - The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives - had me laughing so much I caught myself snorting once or twice. This novel was so well developed that I had no idea what was truly happening until about 80% into the book - which is a FABULOUS discovery for thriller readers. We don't want books we can figure out within in the first couple of chapters. And I can say with a tooth-filled grin, that this book does not disappoint! I loved each female character and could relate to each one of them on some level which made the novel so enticing and so believable. I know that thriller lovers everywhere will appreciate Kristin's well-written, masterfully designed web of mystery inside the pages of her book. A MUST READ for all! 😉📖👍🏼

🔪Three women living in the perfect neighborhood with perfect husbands and seemingly perfect lives, but is everything really what it seems?

👍🏼The characters were great in this book and it read very quickly. I couldn’t put it down wanting to know what was going to happen.

👎🏼At times predictable and the ending was a little lackluster after the buildup.

✅Brain candy meets thriller in this book. I felt like it was a season of Desperate Housewives in the best way possible. A fun and fast read perfect for a rainy day or your next beach trip.

What a twisty and fun book! The story follows three trophy wives Brooke, Erin, and Georgia. Each chapter is told from their different POV’s. It kept me guessing until the end. If you like the Real Housewives TV shows, you’ll love this one!

Georgia, Erin and Brooke - the "Trophy Wives" - all reside in a very prestigious community.

This book had a lot of twist and turns, which were occasionally hard to follow and I had to reread a few passages to understand what was going on.

Much of the story focused on Georgia - the "Black Widow" who had buried two husbands under suspicious circumstances, but nothing could link her to the deaths specifically. She's about to marry hubby #3 when he goes missing and madness begins.

Erin is a seemingly happy TV anchor and wife to plastic surgeon, but of course, nothing is as it seems.

Brooke is a newlywed, a true younger trophy wife to an IT mogul, and an author.

While there were interesting moments in this book, I spent more time confused that actually engaged and the ending gave me a "huh" moment and was not at all what I expected, but not necessarily in a good suspense kind of way.

Thank you NetGalley and Random House Publishing / Ballantine Books for sharing this digital reviewer copy with me in exchange for my honest opinions.

The Sinful Lives of Trophy Wives by Kristin Miller

Listen. This ish is bonkers. I hated every character but still managed to love this book. Scandalous is the operative adjective here.

Setting: Presido Terrace. Northern California’s safest community for millionaires and billionaires.

Brooke: newest resident, with husband Jack (tech billionaire). She’s an author. Younger than most everyone in the neighborhood. Muddy past.

Erin: newscaster, married to Mason (plastic surgeon). When you’re a narcissist, I guess it pays to have a husband who can nip and tuck. Youth is evading her and she is not ok.

Georgia: two previously husbands have died under mysterious circumstances, earning her the nickname of “Black Widow”. She’s engaged to #3. Is he going to be ok?

Everyone is awful. I couldn’t stop reading. This is a domestic thriller done right. So dark. Twisty. Outrageous.

4.5 ⭐️

Well now, that was just like a telenovela just in English hahaha. There was a LOT of crazy drama packed inside of the book which was just like, okay??? The end was finally the fun twist I was hoping for more in the middle to hook me in. How on earth those females were still friends at the end is beyond me

Would you judge me if I said I read this book in one sitting?? What an amazing psychological thriller debut from Kristin Miller! Reminiscent of “The Hunting Wives” from May Cobb, this juicy tale takes Desperate Housewives, mixes in a little Real Housewives & garnishes it with Stepford Wives for the perfect concoction!

Extremely witty at times, “The Sinful Wives of Trophy Wives” was also extremely dark & sinister. I absolutely adored Georgia’s character - her spunk & feisty nature won me over from the very beginning. Erin was strong-willed and though not as easy to love, was easy to respect (cue: her epic walk-out scene in the beginning pages). Then there was Brooke - a character all her own with a dark side we didn’t see coming until the final pages! I also loved how Miller weaved Brooke’s husband Jack into the fold as such that we suspected his involvement in all of the book’s crimes until the very end.

Miller’s final twist in the last lines of the last chapter & into the epilogue sealed the five-star rating for me. It creeped up on you in a way that left chills down your spine & your jaw dropping all at the same time; the mark of a great thriller!

Thank you to NetGalley & Random House Publishing Group for the ARC! Grab this one for your summer beach trip when it hits shelves July 20, 2021!
