Such a great read and such a great series. This book would work perfectly well as a stand-alone but to get the best from it I’d urge you to read the series. In fact as this is the last one in this series if you can read them all in one go. A brilliant ending to the series with an unbelievable twist

Excellent characters, excellent pacing and it kept me at the edge of my seat! a must read!

The final book in the Missing Children Case Files series. Emma Hunter, investigative journalist still looking for her missing sister who disappeared years ago. In this book, she finds her missing sister who is also on a hunt for the vile perpetrators who kidnapped her. Together they work to bring down the paedophile ring who have been responsible for many abusive acts. Lots of twists and turns in this dark story. A brilliant finale and glad the two sisters got closure.

In short, Emma Hunter, an investigative journalist, finally uncovers the events and horrors of child abduction crime that she’s spent the past two decades trying to solve in the South West of England. As quoted by Emma, “I kicked the hornets’ nest and angered them. I’ve put us all in danger.“ How right was she!
Without ‘exposing’ the storyline, what I can reveal is that it’s written in two different timelines and it’s jam packed with suspense, horror, survival and with a tense satisfying conclusion.
The Missing Children Case Files is a well written crime series and I look forward to reading more from M A Hunter in the future.

What a beautiful ending to an Amazing series! Although, I’m sad to see it end the storyline throughout was so well written and full of suspense and hope. From the first book to the last I was fully invested in justice to the small victims and was excited for each book to hit the shelf. What new stories will be next? M.A. Hunter is a master story teller and I cannot wait to read more.

This was what I needed for this series finale. I'm not typically one to stick out a series more than 3 books - I was hesitant to start this series knowing it would end with 6 novels. I'm really glad the publisher reached out and asked me to review them!

I needed SO many answers with this book, I was worried it would not live up to my expectation; in a way I was right! It exceeded my expectations!

Emma faces so many truths in this one, that it hurts. All throughout her journey I kept wishing for one thing; that Anna was alive. I never stopped to question what it would look like. I, like Emma, could only imagine the flowery reunion.

Taking down an entire ring of child traffickers was intense and the closer she got the more dangerous it became. At what point do you say, "this is too much", for Emma those words didn't seem to exist.

Great execution of a finale and wrapping everything in a way that concludes any questions that might have lingered. I will definitely be on the lookout for more M.A. Hunter. I became a fan!

Investigative journalist Emma Hunter has been searching for sister Anna who disappeared twenty-one years ago from their home in Portland, Dorset. The police in Leicestershire phone Emma informing her that a woman they’ve arrested for a shooting will only speak to her but when she arrives with her friend PC Jack Serrovitz they start questioning her under caution as it appears the woman who’s given her name as Kylie Shakespeare isn’t who she seems.

Regrettably ‘Exposed’ is the final part of the Missing Children Case Files which is without doubt one of the most exciting and completely gripping series I’ve ever had the pleasure to read. The final episode begins in Portland, Dorset, with Anna walking to her grandmother’s house, and the story moves from that time to now as Emma alongside Jack, Rachel, Freddie and DCS Rawani get closer to those individuals who’ve been responsible for organised child trafficking along the South Coast for the last three decades. This final part is action-packed, with a deluge of suspense, shock, horror and total disbelief, and the story becomes more frantic as they attempt to keep one step ahead of the traffickers. ‘Exposed’ is an exceptionally well-written and tremendously enjoyable thriller written by a very talented author. I’ve become so involved in the story it’s been impossible to stop reading and when I reached the end it was so emotional I had tears to my eyes.

The final book in the Missing Children Case Files series. . There were so many questions to be answered from the previous 5 books. .They were answered satisfactorily., I have to say. I'm so glad it was quite a short length of time between books. The abduction of children is not a pleasant topic to read about but, this series was neither graphic nor gory. It was written sensitively, in my opinion. . I highly recommend this series.

Exposed is the final book in The Missing Children Case Files and what a wild ride this has been. Emma is back and is so close to finding out what happened to her sister Anna all those years ago. There were so many twists and secrets that I never saw coming whatsoever especially the secrets within Emma’s own family.

I have to say that this was definitely my favourite book because I finally found out the answer to the question that I’ve been waiting over twenty years for (I mean not really) what happened to Anna?

M.A. Hunter gave me everything that I wanted in this book and so much more. I am so sad to be saying goodbye to Emma and Jack but I can’t wait to find out what M.A. Hunter does next.

This is a riveting, intelligent and complex close to a harrowing yet sensitively explored set of topics in this series, and I found that many questions perhaps lingering throughout the books were answered. Twistier and more propulsive and engrossing than the rest of its predecessors combined, it was genuinely tough to put this down. Moving at break fire pace the original narrative rattles by and you cannot help but admire Emma as a fearless protagonist in a fight akin to David and Goliath. It's nail-biting, with never a dull moment and drama and intensity seep through the pages, this is a skillfully woven procedural and an author I predict even bigger things for in the future. One of the tensest, most enthralling and deeply satisfying conclusions to a series in a while, it is unlikely to disappoint anyone invested in Emma's plight against evil, search for her sister and fight for ultimate justice. Highly recommended.

Emma Hunter is an investigative journalist who is now a best-selling author. Her entire adult life has revolved around finding her sister who has been missing for over 20 years.  Between her friend and literary agent Maddie, and her best friend from college Rachel, Emma has a good support team, although she wishes they got along.    DC Jack Serrovitz has been helping her track down a pedophile ring, and they have recently discovered that a police official may be a part of this..... Emma's relationship with Jack is "strained".  


My Synopsis:   (No major reveals, but if concerned, skip to My Opinions)
It's been more than thirty years of children going missing, and pornographic films being made using these poor kids.  Emma and Jack have been chasing this pedophile ring for ages, and found police involvement.  Finally, a woman is in custody for shooting former Police Commissioner Sir Anthony Tomlinson, one of the ringleaders.  This women will only speak to Emma.  It turns out that this woman, although going by the name Kylie Shakespeare, is Emma's long lost sister Anna.

But Anna, or Kylie as she is now known, has no idea she has a sister, and although she accepts help from the lawyer that Emma hired, she is not open to talking to Emma.

It soon becomes apparent that Anna may be the only person that could bring the pedophile ring out in the open, but how many lives could be put in danger before this could happen.


My Opinions:
First,  you MUST read these books in order.  As predicted in this last book, Anna is found, though not under the best of circumstances.  Be prepared, as the books are about trafficking children, so it isn't always pleasant reading.

I think this one started out slow, but once it got going, it was one of those books that you don't want to put down.

The story was told from Emma's perspective, in two time-lines, from when Anna first went missing, and today.  In this way, we learned the background of her parents, some of it unexpected.

With reference to the characters, I still had a problem with Rachel, who is so self-centered and is constantly asking "for favors".  On the other hand, she is the best friend Emma has ever had.  I'm not sure I loved Anna as much as I had hoped for, but knowing what she had been through, I guess I'd be surprised if she had rolled over and embraced Emma and her lifestyle immediately.  Rick's actions didn't really surprise me.  As always, I loved Jack.

The series is over, but it captured my heart and gripped me from the first book, and this one tied everything up.  It was a good ending.

This last book in the Missing Children series packed alot of excitement and good features. There's almost non-stop action unfolding at a fast pace, plenty of thrills, danger and surprises, and a really thorough account of lead Emma's childhood experience of her sister Anna's disappearance and the wrenching aftermath for her and her parents. In fact, for me the alternating present to past to present plot kept my interest high and the pages turning as I awaited the growing pile of revelations from the family's past. Great climax and happily-touching finale too.

I am glad that I kept with the series through to this final book which very successfully tied off all of the loose ends and even gave Emma some hope for a personal life no longer dominated by the search for her sister!

I love this series and whilst I’m sad that’s it ended, M.A. Hunter has written one hell of a final book.
I’ve read all the other books and really enjoyed them all, and this one is the icing on the cake.
If you follow this series you’ll know that Emma is trying to find her missing sister and trying to expose those involved in trafficking young children and their abuse.
I won’t give anything away about this final book as it is definitely one to discover yourself.
A brilliant series and I’ll definitely be reading more books from this author.

This is the sixth and final book in the Missing Children's Case Files series and what a binge it was! This series was an adrenaline pumping ride from the get go. I am so obsessed with Emma and her investigation. This story was shocking, twisted and so surprising. I loved this story from the very first minute and will miss Emma and this series!

I would like to thank Netgalley and HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter for an advance copy of Exposed, the sixth and final novel to feature true crime author and missing person finder Emma Hunter, set on the south coast of England.

Emma has just finished her latest book and is about to continue her investigation into the paedophile ring when she is told that a murder suspect is insisting on talking to her, but when she gets to Leicestershire a bombshell awaits and she finds herself being questioned under caution.

I thoroughly enjoyed Exposed, which provides a most satisfying conclusion to the series. For any first time reader the novels must be read in order as they are all threads with detours in one overarching plot, the uncovering of a long running paedophile ring with influential members.

Exposed is a roller coaster of a read with highs and lows and a lot of tension and excitement in between that I found it difficult to put down. I don’t want to discuss the plot as the publisher obviously wants to keep most of it as a surprise, but I think the series has been leading up to most of the revelations. Suffice to say it is the usual mixture of timelines, both past and present, told from Emma’s point of view. It contains a fair few bombshells, some easier to guess than others, that aren’t quite twists, more logical extensions of the plot.

I found the resolution extremely satisfying with most of the loose ends tied up, even a few I didn’t know existed. I see it as a reward to the reader for sticking with what was a difficult read at times due to the subject matter.

Exposed is a good read that I have no hesitation in recommending.

This has been a gripping series from the very first book. All the loose ends have been firmly tied up. I was hooked on this last edition from the very first page. There's lots of twists and Emma and Anna finally get closure. The family secret gave me chills. The characters are well developed in this fast paced read. The storyline gives the reader an insight into sex trafficking that involved children. This series has held my attention throughout and I'm looking forward to reading more books by the author in future.

Such a good series given the subject. I was hooked.
The storyline was well written with, sometimes too much, good attention to detail. 3.5 stars.
Worth a read for fans of the thriller genre.

I received an advance copy of, Exposed by M.A. Hunter. This is a great thriller. How well do we really know people? Lies, family secrets, and abduction. Such a great read.

This is the conclusion of a six part series covering investigative journalist Emma's hunt for a pedophile ring who has been abducting children.
This is not a genre that I read that often, although I enjoy TV shows such as Death in Paradise, Midsomer Murders etc. This is in a totally different vein, being much darker and uncomfortable to read at times. The storyline is very compelling though, full of twists and turns and unexpected revelations. Definitely not one to read alone in a dark house with the wind blowing around rattling the windows, but highly recommended for fans of this particular genre.

The finale to a brilliant series based around child abuse and the efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice. This has been a gripping series from beginning to end with a realistic storyline and many appealing characters. The finale was a fitting end but some sadness too that there is no more..
