Exposed is the sixth and final book in the Missing Children Case Files series. I have loved every one of the previous books and this one is no exception.
Emma has been searching for her missing sister Anna for over twenty years. She has also worked tirelessly to bring down sex traffickers. I don't want to give away any of the surprises in this story so I'll just say what a great ending to a great series. The characters that we've all come to love are back in this installment and they conduct themselves true to form. I put off reading this book because I did not want the series to end. Yes the subject matter is very difficult to read at times but the author does it with such grace that it makes it easier to read.
What a Brilliant end to a story that has lasted for six books! I cannot wait to see what M. A. Hunter writes next.

This is book 6 in the Missing Children Case Files, and a cumulation of all of the searching Emma Hunter has been carrying out for the past few years into the horrifying child abductions and abuse ring. The level of corruption being uncovered is staggering, with few that she can turn to in full trust. A shooting leads to Emma being requested to come to a Leicestershire police station, as the suspect arrested will only speak to her. But upon arrival Emma realises there is much more to the arrest than she was told. She finds herself questioned by the local police about her involvement in the crime. As if that was not enough, the next revelation dropped on her during the questioning shatters her.

This book is a full cumulation of all of Emma Hunter's tenacious research, that started as the search for her sister, that unearthed some cases of kidnapped children, and that became bigger than anything she ever could have dreamed in her wildest nightmares. She finally gets a chance to reflect on the loss of her sister and just how fully it shattered her family, and learn exactly why it happened.

As with all the books in this series, once you start you can not stop reading it. Just one more chapter, just one more chapter, soon has you reading until late in the morning. But every moment of lack of sleep is worth it for the rollercoaster you are brought on!

Mind-blowing, spine-chilling ending to my favorite mystery series. Like the saying goes, Best for the Last, M.A. Hunter has ended the series on a big note. Lots of twists, a well-deserved closure for Emma and Anna, and a long-kept family secret that brings shivers down your spine.

I was hooked on to the story and could not put it down until the end. Completely engrossing and intriguing story with a strong message on child trafficking and abuse. The Missing Children Case Files is one of the best mystery series ever written! Be it the character development, suspense or storytelling, M.A. Hunter is the best! I have been following this series from the beginning and I highly recommend mystery lovers to read this fantastic series.

It’s finally here Exposed, The sixth instalment in the cracking and disturbing Missing Children Case Files. The anticipation, the addiction, and the tension have been growing as each book ends. Each book in the series has led the reader on a journey that’s dark, chilling and desperately sad, but It’s finally time to unearth all those unanswered questions about Emma’s missing sister Anna was snatched by a gang of pedophiles as a child. The tag line for this series sums up Exposed perfectly. Three decades of disappearances, two decades of searching. One second of shattering realisation. 

I should mention because of the subject some readers may find these books a tough read, but in the authors defence he shows sensitivity to the subject and many things are alluded to rather than writing explicit scenes. Emma has shown herself to be a worthy protagonist as this series has evolved so has Emma, her confidence has grown, she’s one determined cookie, it’s not a case of ‘will she find out the truth?’, it’s more a case of ‘when’, at the same time she’s also committed to bringing down a ring of high-ranking child traffickers and pedophiles. Unusual in a crime series, Emma is a reporter rather than a police officer, which I like as she’s able to push the boundaries and isn’t governed by rules and regulations. 

I had some misgivings that the last book in the series would end in disappointment, but I’m thrilled to say Exposed exceeded all my expectations and then some! The chapters alternate between ‘now’ and ‘then’. The ‘then’ chapters reveal the truth about Anna’s disappearance. Amid the lies, deceit, and well hidden secrets, the ugly truth emerges, shocking the reader to the core. I have thoroughly enjoyed following Emma’s journey. Everything ties up nicely in Exposed, leaving no stone unturned, so I reached the end of the book with a satisfying sigh.I have really enjoyed every book in this series and Exposed is the ‘icing on the cake’. Highly recommend to all crime thriller lovers.

I couldn't wait to get stuck into this book but at the same time I was sorry to come to the end of one of the most exciting series I have ever read. There was so much intrigue in this story I was rapt from the very first page. I could hardly believe the series of events that had led to Anna's abduction, it was such a shock but at the same time explained little anomalies in Emma's recollection of events. I thought the author rounded everything off nicely while still leaving it open for the characters to return in future books. I hope this author has many more plots up her sleeve.

If you are picking up this book and it is your first by M.A Hunter. Do yourself a favor. Put it down and get book one in the Missing Children series or better still purchase all six books. Go home. Put the phone on silence, Send the kids away and lock the door. Put your feet up and enjoy the series.

I can truly say i have loved this collection. The characters have been well written and I've loved the way this book has concluded everything for me. I haven't been left with any hanging threads but i really hope the author is able to bring Emma, Rachel, Jack , Maddie and Freddie together to work on other cases.

I can see this collection doing really well as a TV series. I really hope it happens.

The highly anticipated ending to this marvellous series! I both loved and hated it. I loved the book, but hated that this was the last one. The mood and pace is again different from the earlier books. You can nearly cut the tension with a knife. Emma and Jack are unstoppable. They are so close to the truth, and they can feel it.

As expected, not everything is as expected. Emma, Jack and the reader finally get the answers, but they might not be what anyone of us want them to be. Emma's sister, Anna, has been gone for years and years. Who took her? What happened? Where has she been? She is no longer a young innocent girl. Emma does not know her. Turns out Emma's family secrets were bigger than she ever imagined.

There were some unexpected twists and turns in the book, and they will haunt the characters forever. I am trying to think what it would be like finding my long-lost sister, who has been abused, and when I do, still the only image of her in my mind is the young girl I once knew. Naturally she is long gone, and could we ever get back to being just sisters again? I can't imagine what this would be like. A shock to the system, at the very least.

I absolutely love it that Emma can finally get some peace of mind. She has worked so hard to find out the truth. She is such an inspiration to me. She is not giving up, even though her whole family is basically screwed up, at times the world is against her, and sadly the police as well.

This is an absolutely amazing ending to one of the best series out there! I can't thank the author enough for coming up with this story, and sharing it with us readers! I can't come up with enough praise for this book this series, this author. Some things can simply not be explained. They have to be experienced.

Although I'm sad to see this series come to an end, I couldn't have asked for a better conclusion! Investigative journalist Emma Hunter and PC Jack Serrovitz have never been closer to uncovering the mother lode of evidence surrounding the trafficking paedophile ring responsible for so much terror and abuse. And then the main suspect in the death of a former Metropolitan Police Commissioner specifically requests Emma's help - do they finally have someone with inside knowledge ready to talk? But Emma and Jack could never have prepared themselves for what they discover.

It's so hard not to give anything away here, but it's best not to know too much before reading this final installment. Otherwise, I'd be spoiling some major surprises! You will not be left unsatisfied, I can say that with certainty. Everything you've questioned will be answered. Questions you didn't realize you had will be answered! It will all piece together brilliantly. You'll find yourself reflecting on the wonderful characters you've grown to love and admire. And above all, you will say to yourself "When can I read the next book by the fabulous M.A. Hunter??"

After the cliff hanger ending with the previous book, I had high hopes and expectations here and was so eager to read this one. It didn’t disappoint at all. Not one bit. It went a different way to what I thought it would (in a good way) which didn’t take anything away from the story. Emma is still intent on bringing down a child trafficking ring and is getting so close to exposing them. Warnings and threats don’t stop her and when she gets help from an unexpected source and new information things really begin to hot up. In my opinion the author has excelled writing this book, it comes together and flows really well and grabbed my attention from the first page and held it throughout. It moved from past to present times very effortlessly and I felt I was unwrapping secret after secret and at times wondered what the author would throw in next. The book raced to a very thrilling conclusion and ending with all loose ends tied up. By the time I got to the end I’d had quite a few wow moments along the way. I really enjoyed this book, and think the author has wrote of a difficult subject with sensitivity and care. You know these things do happen sadly and are a reality for some. On the whole a great book and series which has been compelling, sad, poignant and at times heartbreaking to read and I’m a bit sad it’s come to an end, although I can see myself going back and rereading them at some point.

Amazing and does not disappoint. The last book in this series truly does not disappoint. This was the ending I've been waiting for. As a reader, I knew that either Anna was going to be found whether it be alive or dead. You'll have to read to find out. The trafficking ring will be apprehended and I knew it had to go pretty far up for this ring to be operating for as long as they have. The character was well developed and there was no lagging as far as the pace of the story. The ending did have a couple of disappointments. The "group" never got their voice heard as to why. That left an annoying question in my mind. The love story between Jack and Emma was downplayed and wrapped up in a nice bow, although I know that was never a big side story. I was hoping for more. The one storyline I did not see was Emma's parents at the end. Well written. Bravo!

This fabulous novel and the whole series has delivered on all counts for me- a brilliant mix of characters, some heart warming and very easy to love and some who definitely fall into the diabolical, unsavory villains category.
With a skillfully woven plot and storyline and plenty of action and twists and turns it most certainly kept me captivated and enthralled from beginning to end.

This super series comes highly recommended - loved every one of the 6 novels myself.

This was the sixth and final book in the Missing Children Case Files series and what a doozy it was. After spending years searching for her missing sister, Anna, Emma suddenly learns she is still alive and has been arrested for suspicion of murder of Sir Anthony Tomlinson - one of the men suspected of being involved in the high level paedophile ring. Anna has been going by the name of Kylie Shakespeare but her DNA has been matched to that of Anna from when she disappeared. She has asked to speak to Emma but the police won’t allow it.

Things move quickly from there. Anna is released on bail but disappears and the next thing we know she is seen ‘abducting’ Daisy Beauchamp the great niece of Ian Beauchamp, a former politician. Emma is distraught at this news but - things are not as they seem. It is Daisy who initiated the contact with Anna. Daisy has learnt what terrible secrets her uncle has and enlists Anna’s help to take him down. The two finally meet but it is not the sweet sisterly reunion that Emma had envisaged - Anna has been through far too much trauma for that.

The intrepid forces for good get their hands on some important evidence but it is not smooth sailing from there. Instead it unleashes a storm of potential retribution on the good guys who are trying to bring down the network and Emma has to think long and hard about who she can trust. One of her trusted people turns out to be working for the opposition and leads her into grave danger. With the network at risk of being exposed they pull out all the stops to, well, stop it from happening and it got very, very tense.

Emma and Anna also learn more about their father and about the reasons that Anna was abducted. It makes some sense of what Emma had always put down as her mother’s nuttier ramblings.

This has been a great series which is really like one story over six books. Emma is such a great character - so humble yet crazy brave. She was prepared to do anything to find her sister. The secondary characters, her not quite boyfriend DC Jack Serrovitz, her best friend Rachel and even DCS Jagtar Rawani are all relatable and plausible and do their bit for the cause. I would like to think this is all fiction but I know that elements of these books do happen and it is a great tragedy that can only be averted by changing the way people think but that is a discussion for another forum. My thanks to Netgalley for providing a free copy of this book which I have reviewed voluntarily.

As the police question her she begins to realise just how much more there is to discover.

And so it ends, after five previous books this is the final installment of Emma’s story written by the brilliant M A Hunter. I knew beforehand that it could be either a massive disappointment or successful wrapping up of an original and fast paced series. Thankfully it was the latter and  there was never a moment when I felt cheated by this storyline or ending, closing the book with a satisfied smile which can only be a positive thing.

I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the opinions expressed are my own. If you have been with Emma throughout then this is a must read. If not you really need to start at the beginning but this would be a great series to binge read.

Another great instalment in one of the best thriller series I have read for a long time. Some mysteries are solved but not until you have navigated any number of unexpected plot twists and character reveals. The pace really ramps up as we learn some hard truths about some characters - without wanting to spoil anything, be prepared for some shocks.

Yet another excellent mystery novel by M. A. Hunter in this continuing series. Each of these books gives us more background information on Emma, Rachel, Jack Freddie and her parents. Now I’m the final instalment we get to meet her long lost sister Anna.

The author has done an amazing job of bringing Anna into the story while still keeping Emma as the main character. This book is full of suspense and twists that keep you turning the pages, partly wanting to get to the end and partly not wanting it to ever end. This is such a well thought out storyline and gives us a glimpse into the atrociously disgusting and violent world of sex trafficking involving children. I hope that although this is fiction it will help people come forward and bring to light what is going on all over the world.
