Fast paced, thrilling, and I couldn't stay away from it. I loved how the characters had realistic flaws and all the qualities that make them a great character.
A thrilling romance that is both intriguing and entertaining. Good characters and exceptional writing.
Entangling is a very predictable story and the romance was forced instead of flowing with the main part of the story. The author was able to create a predictable romantic suspense with likeable characters. The romance is forced and rushed though the story.
With that being said it is a easy summer read you can finish on a plan ride or sitting by the pool.
Thank you to Netgalley for a copy of Kelley Griffin Entangling.
Kirin is a widowed mother of 2 boys who finds out that his estranged father has passed away leaving her a misterious book and a strange connection with dangerous lowlife. This leaves Kirin trying to figure out what really happened in their past and to know who killed her mother.
This was a fun, easy read. I liked the plot and the twists in this book, and also the mix of romance and suspence.
The love story seemed a bit rushed, but overall the book was enjoyable.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
For the most part, l liked this read. I liked the mystery of the book and was interested in how that was going to play out. I liked Kirin and Sam but felt like their romance could have used more development, especially on Kirrin’s end. She seems to fall in love awfully quick and I felt like she runs a lot from Sam and any problems that come up, For me, there were some plot holes that made me feel like this was a good read, but not a great one. Like, if Scar and Babyface are convinced Kirrin threw away the book or does not care about it, why follow her? They seemed to follow her with no purpose in mind. Kirrin also seems to be doing quite well for a widowed nurse who is supporting two kids. She has a nanny who essentially takes care of cooking/cleaning, even when Kirrin is not working. How can she afford that? Anyways, those little issues prevented me from escaping into the story and gave it an air of inauthenticity. Overall, this was a good, just not great, read.
