The book was seriously faced pace! There didn’t seem to be a moment something wasn’t happening which I love in romance books.
Lily was a really realistic MC and I loved her characteristics.
The dual POV worked really well and I love it in romance. I like being able to see from both characters povs as it gives their romances more depth.
The writing was good and easy to follow without any pretentious language or trying to be extra.
This one took a few chapters to grow on me but I ended up falling in love with Lily, Lincoln, and Rosie. I started this not realizing it is book 3 in the series but I never felt lost while reading it so it can be read as a stand alone. Lily meets the handsome senator Lincoln at an event she planned and ended up having a one night stand which was a bit steamy. Fast forward 3 years and she has a chance meeting with him again at an airport. With some crooked politics, secrets from their pasts, and a little mafia action thrown in this book is exciting as the two get to know each other and start falling in love. I loved seeing them find their HEA and become a cite little family.
Delicious book with very interesting characters. This is book 3 in an adult romance that doesn’t require you to read the first two but it does help. The love the romance and bad boy appeal that this story provides. Overall, I really enjoyed this book.
Sorry, did not finish. Had to stop at the 15% mark. Overall, Just not my cup of tea. I found the characters to be rather pushy; I don’t mind men or women who know what they want but they just seemed to overbearing and I could not connect with them.
This was a very fast paced book and I enjoyed how the story jumped right into a steamy scene, it was a great start to this fulfilling story. I also liked how realistic Lily’s character is and how she was able to stay strong for those who depended on her. Overall, I rate this story a 4/5 and recommend it to anyone 18+ and looking for a steamy and interesting romance.

The story is indeed fast paced and doesn’t left you hanging in every chapter. I was grateful that the p.o.v were both from Lily and Linc, that made it even more exciting and fulfilling as we get to learn both perspective not just from one of them. The writing was very easy to read to as well, not too flowery and not too awkward like the other romance writing I’ve read.
However, I just felt not that satisfied with the story. The vibe that the story is giving me is like those romance wattpad story that I’ve read-not in a bad way but in a good way-however, I was expecting it to be much more darker and more deeper and mysterious like what the synopsis had given but it wasn’t and that just thrown me off. BUT towards the climax of the book, that where all of the dark, suspense and all I want from a Dark Romance.

I’ve got no problems with how the characters were written, I really liked how Lily was written, her traits were really realistic and I just adore how independent she is and is really working hard for herself and for daughter.
There are some parts of the story that I got annoyed with the characters but I understood why it was done, it wouldn’t be realistic otherwise if Lily just dropped that and everything would be fine.
I really liked how human the characters are, they were really well written. From Linc being a senator and seeing the dark side of the government and many more and from Lily’s childhood background to her becoming a parent. I did enjoy that.
I also would mention the mental illness that Lin’s was suffering and how he approached it in the story, from taking a therapy and also being someone who advocates women’s right at the end of the story. It was such a good development there.
I also adore the relationship Lily had with her friends, you can really see true bond there. Jayce and Lin’s as well which an employer and an employee relationship, I really find their relationship dark and also deep in both good and bad way, that really made me more curious of Jayce and I’m hoping that the author might write a story about him. And also the closure that all characters needed here.
𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 it was an exciting, steamy and suspenseful read. However, as much as I would love to give this more than 4⭐ , I can’t. Yes, I enjoyed it but I wasn’t satisfied with how it went.
The story starts very fast (not gonna lie, I enjoy it), they had a one night stand and the heroine left before the hero wakes up ( typical wattpad story I read before). They met 3 years after and real, steamy, dark and annoying things happen here.
It would have been much better if it was a slow-burn romance. I really think that it would really fit to the story and would have been much more page turner than it already is.
If the story had go more in that route-like a slowburn plot and romance, it would have been much better, both for the romance and the whole story line. It was just right there but not quiet there and that really threw me off of it.
Aside from the writing and plot, I really liked the relationship of the characters had, the representation of mental illness, the development and closure towards the end at most parts.
Despite enjoying it at most, I just can’t see myself rating this more than 4, I’m still debating if this is a 4⭐ or a 3 ⭐so I would have to settle with 3.5⭐ .

Three years later, and neither of them can forget the other, and suddenly they run into each other at the airport and now their lives are entangled in more than one way. Both of them are struggling to be honest with the other and have so many secrets, can this relationship really work? The story was an interesting one overall and the relationship was nice between the characters. The povs switching was a great touch and getting to know both the characters was fun. This is a quick and easy romance read,
