I love anything Dr. Ian writes. He doesn’t lecture or talk down. This is just another great book by him. There are a lot of great tips and resources to start immediately.
If you ask me, Ian K. Smith is the epitome of a diet plan. I have had great success with his studies and have lost a good amount of weight following is Clean 20 and Clean & Lean. Ian K. Smith is also a diet "Expert" that my husband will follow as well! I absolutely love his work and will continue to read and follow his books.
As for Fast Burn! I love that he dives deeper into the different kind of fats and what Macronutrients are. As a person who follows their health. It is important to know about these two things and how they react and work with the body.
Currently Reading: Plant Power by Ian K. Smith
Good diet plan with a 9 week schedule. Interesting information that seems well documented. I enjoyed reading this book.
I really enjoyed this book. It was well laid out and written in away the average person can understand. The guides for meal plans for the week was clearly written and laid out. I tried several of the recipes and all were easy and tasty.
This is a good diet book. It walks you through a 9-week plan that incorporates IF, Whole Foods, calorie counting, and exercise. If you are looking for a hard core diet with relatively quick results, I think this book would benefit you. The book includes daily meal and snack plans with options. There is a decent sized recipe section in the back. I think the part I will find most beneficial is the exercise portion of the plan. This book is not, however, for those who want to make a lifelong change or want to break free of diet mentality. This is a 9 week hard core diet including all that comes with diet thinking. This doesn’t seem long term sustainable to me. I don’t see somebody working through this program and still eating as it suggests a year later.
Who doesn't love Dr Ian?!? I really enjoyed his latest work though I did feel he incorporated a lot of his previous books within this one (especially Shred). It's not a bad thing per se, but readers will find meal lists and snack lists similar. Dr. Ian works his take on intermittent and longer fasting periods within his framework to give readers options for a new diet. Overall strong book and lot of easy recipes and recognizable ingredients. He keeps it simple which is always appreciated.
