I enjoyed this book. It felt like a written version of an Amazing Race leg although there were some parts that bordered on the absurd. The pacing was good and seemed less frenetic than some of the other books in the series. I know it is not a romance book but I did feel there was a little less spark between Nick and Kate than there has been in the past.
Overall, I thought this was a good addition to the series.

Believe it or not, The Bounty is my first Janet Evanovich book. No, I haven’t been living in a cave. Truth be told, I have no legitimate excuse. I’m just extremely late to the party. And I feel shame. But when I saw Steve Hamilton was co-authoring this book, I decided now was the time to get my head out of my ass and pick up what I expected would be a well-written, entertaining story. And I was not disappointed.
First, let’s be clear on one thing. This book is not a hard-core action thriller, a suspenseful psychological thriller or even a twist-filled political thriller. What is it? The Bounty is just unadulterated fun. It’s pleasurable and playful, amusing and enjoyable. It’s a combination of National Treasure and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade wrapped inside The Amazing Race. Except instead of racing against teams of normal people for a chance to win the $1 Million prize at the end of the journey, you’re competing against terrorists and Nazis to see who will be the first to uncover $30 Billion (400 tons) of hidden/stolen Nazi gold. If that’s not the makings of a compelling story, then I don’t know what is.
The Bounty is the seventh book in the Fox and O’Hare series, but as I mentioned this is my first Evanovich book so I’m curious how long-time fans will receive it. As a standalone, it works well enough. I never felt like I was missing out on insider knowledge gained from previous books. Although there’s obviously a past between Nick Fox and Kate O’Hare, but it isn’t that difficult to figure out and the book does a good job of providing basic backstory information. My intuition tells me that people who have read the prior six books in the series will derive even more enjoyment from this book because they’ll hold more insight into the characters paths to this point. But if you haven’t read the prior installments, don’t let that keep you from reading this exciting, somewhat cheesy Hollywood-like thriller that will put a smile on your face.
Additionally, The Bounty provided an evil henchman that has rocketed up the rankings of my favorite thriller bad guy sidekicks. His name is Franz and he’s a mountain of a man with the resilience of The Terminator. And because his name is Franz, I can’t help but picture an Andre the Giant-sized, musclebound Kevin Nealon in gray sweats with a bad German accent. Sorry not sorry for putting that image in your head. But regardless of how you picture him, Franz is a terrific side character and adds a fascinating aspect to this book.
All told, The Bounty is a great choice if you're looking for an alternative to dark thrillers. It’s a spirited and delightful book. A palate cleanser for gritty, emotionally draining, heavy stories. Guaranteed to provide plenty of excitement and intrigue, leaving you satisfied as you close the back cover. Pick up a copy, get your popcorn ready, cozy up in your favorite reading spot and enjoy.

Nicholas Fox and Kate O'Hare are back and, this time, on the hunt to find Nazi gold. Their adventure takes them across multiple countries collecting clues in order to find the treasure. Kate's retired Marine Corps dad, Jake, returns to help. Nick's dad, Quentin, is new to the book series and along for the ride. This book is exactly what I expected it to be. It was funny, fast-paced, and exciting. Having read all of Janet Evanovich's novels, it checked all of the boxes. Thank you to NetGalley and Atria for the ARC.

Janet Evanovich knows her genre. I was a fan of the Stephanie Plum books, so decided to try the Fox and O'Hare series. It is not as irreverent as Stephanie and her cohorts, and the dodgy but endearing New Jersey neighborhood has been swapped for a more global setting, but I am sure readers looking for some light entertainment will enjoy this book. Thanks to NetGalley for providing an e-copy in exchange for an unbiased review.

I read the first 3 in the Fox O'Hare series and found them fast pace buddy cop drama expect on is a thief.
This story has me a little confused at times not sure if it is because I didn't read 4,5 and 6 and I am as a reader missing a story line. With that said as a reviewer the story is a little disappointing with the overly used Nazi story line. The story takes place all over the world so hold because you might forget at times where they are current located.
The story moves quickly but the character development lack creativity as they keep to old habits that get old quickly.
Thank you to Netgalley for the advance copy of Janet Evanovich and Steve Hamilton The Bounty.

I have read all the novels in this series. Loved them!!
So witty ~ couldn’t wait for the next one. Typically story ended a cliff hanger!!
I just love special agent Kate O‘Hare and con man Nick Fox ~ what a great pair!
In this story they are working together with their fathers ~ as the saying goes ~ the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!
Hmmm seems that there is drama going on with the co-authors ~ perhaps a story there!
Steve Hamilton is the co-author on this but credit is given to Peter Evanovich for the idea.
I have not read his novels before but I know he has out a couple series.
This is #7 in the Fox and O’Hare series;
Not a bad story just NOT the usually Fox and O’Hare that I have totally enjoyed in past novels!
⭐⭐⭐
Want to thank NetGalley and Atria Books for this eGalley granted to me early for an honest professional review.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for March 23, 2021

The teaming up of these two authors has the recipe of great reading. Both are witty and sarcastic. Both my wife and I enjoyed the book and highly recommend.

This is the 7th book in the Kate O’Hare and Nick Fox series! Let me start by saying it was so much better than the Big Kahuna.
In this book, Kate and Nick are hunting down Nazi stolen treasure and both their father are part of their team this time; Nick’s father an “Art Dealer” and Kates navy seals father.
Not only are they looking for clues but they are also dodging bullets from a Nazi sympathizer organization who are also hunting for the treasure. This was an awesome read with witty humor and thrilling action. I received this ARC for an honest review from Net Galley.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to red this book in exchange for an honest review. I love Evnovich's Stephanie Plum series, but hadn't read any of her other books. I really enjoyed this one, and now have to go read the others in the series. In this book, Kate and Nick race around the globe trying to find treasure stolen by the Nazis before the evil group the Brotherhood finds it. I enjoyed the book. There is flirtation between Kate and Nick, but not quite as much as the heat between Stephanie Plum and Ranger/Morelli. I'd love to see more banter between them.

The Bounty by Janet Evanovich and Steve Hamilton is a highly recommended action/adventure thriller and the seventh book in the Fox and O'Hare series.
Special agent Kate O’Hare and international con man Nick Fox work together using their strengths to solve cases. The two have been sent to the Vatican to work with Interpol and the Vatican stop a would be thief, but when the item stolen is not what was expected and is instead a map and, even more shockingly, the thief is identified as Nick's father, Quentin, the hunt is on to find Quentin. When he is found, it becomes clear that more is going than Interpol knows. There is an international organization looking for $30 billion in Nazi gold, and there is a race to find it before they do. Kate and Nick work with Quentin, and Jake, Kate's father, a professor and a retire British officer work together to find the clues and decipher what they mean. At the same time they have a group of bad guys after them at every step. The key is to find clues hidden across Europe, keep them away from the bad guys, and put them together to find where the gold is hidden.
The Bounty is one of those action/adventure thrillers that requires you to totally suspend disbelief and ignore all the impossibilities that occur at every turn in order to enjoy the adventure. The group travels all over, have contacts and the ability to get what ever supplies that they need at every turn, and manage to be talented and knowledgeable do all the impossible things. I easily set aside my disbelief to enjoy the action that ranges from the Eiffel Tower, to the Swiss Alps, to Great Britain, to Austria, to Slovakia, and to the Sahara. This is a movie waiting to be filmed.
I've read one of the previous Fox and O'Hare novels. With series character development often occurs over several books. At this point those following the series know the characters and those of us who haven't followed every book have to accept that we don't know all the back story. This is easy to do as the action is the main event here and the characters are just the vehicle to get the action done. This is great escapism.

After publication the review will be posted on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Janet Evanovich & Steve Hamilton's THE BOUNTY is a non-stop adventure, a glob-trotting caper with exciting exploits on every page.

Janet Evanovich never disappoints and her latest, The Bounty, is no exception! This book is a part of a series, but also think it is perfectly fine as a stand alone. The story has twists and turns, but flows continuously and will keep you turning page after page. Another great Evanovich / Hamilton book!
Thank you to netgalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

Kate O'Hare and Nickolas Fox were driven with their fathers and others to find Nazi gold that had been hidden for over 75 years. This was done after a time trying to find missing pieces of maps to locate the treasure. You'll have fun reading each of the attempts because they are way above what an ordinary person can accomplish. You also be amazed at how the criminals keep coming after them on their quest. It gets more interesting as the story goes on. It's a book which is fun to read.

The earlier partnership with Lee Goldberg was a dream. Despite those dopey-looking covers, I was hooked! The charm of Remington Steele, the loved up twist of any good '80s love-hate turned dreamy relationship (David Addison & Maddie Hayes, Same & Dianne, etc.), the Mission Impossible + A-Team adventure -- but waaay funnier is how I would describe the early Fox and O'Hare... then the magic was gone without Goldberg.
Anyone who thinks writing great chemistry is a piece of cake is completely wrong. As much as this new writing partnership tried to bring up some of that magic, it just wasn't the same. All the work was on Nick's character and it didn't have the same zing. I'm hopeful things get back on track and we start getting the same magic we had in earlier books.

The Bounty is a great break from the mostly grim action thrillers, with a fun-filled adventure for a world war II era treasure in the most exotic locales, superb action sequences, witty humor, great characters, and a popcorn munching narrative.
FBI agent Kate O Hara and international con man Nick Fox are surveilling a thief hired to supposedly steal the Pope’s ring from The Vatican, when the culprit turns out to be Nick’s father with a much grander plan involving gold bars in buried Nazi train, and a Neo-Nazi group known as The Brotherhood. What follows is a fast-paced search for hidden clues leading to the treasure in formerly Axis powers-controlled countries. To make things spicy, the merry band team of Kate, Nick, and their dads have to deal with the constant meddling of red star tattooed Nazis, polar bears, avalanches, dune buggies, depth charges, and one admirably persistent Brotherhood lieutenant who simply refuses to die. It’s not the ideal family vacation but it is an incredibly fun experience for the readers.
I was worried about jumping in on the 7th book in the series without reading the previous ones. My worry was unfounded because the book is a standalone experience with just the right amount of background for each character to become quickly acquainted with them and focus on the new narrative.
I was most impressed with the action sequences which depict detailed weaponry in the shootouts, and focused viewpoints in chases for an easy read-through. The action is infused with subtle humor in keeping with the overall breezy vibe of the story.
The Bounty is unlike any story I’ve read. After reading quite dark thrillers recently, I relished reading a light hearted thriller that may sound cheesy but is more humorous than cringe. I would love to see it adapted for the big screen!

I enjoyed the fast pace of this thriller. Nothing like a light passion between characters and tons of action. Thanks Net Galley for the ARC.

I wanted to like this book a lot more than I did.
I am a huge Janet Evanovich fan, and have read all of her books, sadly I think this one missed the mark and I can't quite put my finger on it? A storyline that has been done to death maybe?
The start is promising, beginning in Rome after a tip off about a robbery for a diamond encrusted ring, big surprise as it turns out not only is the robber not after the ring but an old map and lo and behold the thief is none other than Nick's father.
There are a few contradictions in the book, ie. Kate and her father Jake (called strait laced and don't get along) and there are anecdotes throughout the book of what Jake has done for her and what they have done together??
Also the use of 'shined' quite a lot, shouldn't it occasionally be 'shone'? The final annoyance for me was when Nick Fox was in a pub (bar) in London and threw pounds notes on the table before rushing out, they haven't been legal tender in the UK since 1988!!
Not my favourite, sorry, but thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for giving me the chance to read in exchange for an honest review.

The Bounty is the latest installment of the Fox and O'Hare series. I really enjoyed the twists and turns this book took me on but I just wish there was a bit more romance but that is totally my very own opinion. With the series now up to 4 authors it seems just a little disjointed between books and a bit more like reading really different stories with the same characters, almost like a fanfic. 3.5 stars
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC to read for a an honest review.

I’ve read all of the books in this series. I am pleasantly surprised with the newest introduced characters in the series. The author's last book in this series,The Big Kahuna, was disappointing. So I eagerly anticipated her next one, it did not disappoint. The plot in this book is a real adventure you can enjoy, I only wish it was a longer book, Having said that, I really look forward her next one in the series, hopefully with a revisit of some of these newest characters.

Nick Fox is a known jewel thief. He can slink into anywhere, take what he wants and slither away. After years of practice FBI Detective Kate O’Hara has tracked him down and made the arrest. Unbeknownst to her, the FBI has decided to make use of Fox’s talents. They have decided not to prosecute under the grounds that he will be placed side by side with O’Hara to solve some of the most demanding cases. Not happy about the situation, she met with Nick, trained him on a new follow up case that involved the Vatican. Word had it that someone is working in Vatican City with plans to steal the ring of Pope Paul VI from the museum viewing site. The FBI has removed the original with a replica. In the shadows of the museum it would be an impossible task to spot the fake. They watched the thief wander amongst the halls in the Vatican. Unfortunately as he approached the case holding the ring the poacher continued on slithering through hallways and in and out of locked doors. It had been decided that Fox and O’Hara would not pursue only observe and comment into the FBI vocal system. Once the Feds unearthed the target was false, the duo made the decision to follow the larcenist themselves. Despite Kate’s boss constant demanding to cease, they continued on only to find the criminal hang-gliding from rooftop to rooftop until he was out of sight. Upon studying the papal videos of the incident, they found the identity of the ruse to be none other than Quentin Fox, father of Nick Fox.
The Bounty is book #7 in the Fox and O’Hare series. Although I have read others by Evanovich, this is the first that I have peruse in this series. Must admit that it is a fast plot and since I didn’t know the characters or conspiracies that transpire in a typical episode, it took me a while to get behind the adventure. Janet Evanovich and Steven Hamilton’s latest novel will be published by Simon & Schuster on March 23, 2021. I realize that many followers of the Fox & O’Hara duo are waiting as patiently as they can for the latest journey the FBI takes them on. Hold tight, it’s not long now. Enjoy!
