Gudetama: Mindfulness for the Lazy offers a charming and humorous take on mindfulness, with Gudetama guiding readers through the challenges of empathy and selflessness. The book’s laid-back approach makes complex concepts accessible and enjoyable, perfect for those who find mindfulness daunting.
I love all things Gudetama and this is no exception.
It was so cute but managed to be interesting and engaging.
I ended up buying a physical copy of this for my personal collection.
Thank you for approving me for this title! However, I unfortunately was unable to download/read this book prior to it being archived on Netgalley. I hope to read and review this book on my own soon, and hope to read other books from this author and publisher. Thanks again!
This was such a fun read. The art style is so cute and was a great edition to the Gudetama character. Very lighthearted and fun.
These books aren't anything mind blowing but they're fun. This title was different than I expected based on the title. Would have best appeal for teens.
Such a cute and relatable book. Concepts like mindfulness and laziness are truly not talked about enough in regards to younger audiences. I loved it and the illustrations were super cute too!
Nice straightforward ways of being mindful for those that maybe didn't have enough spoons. The little egg yolk looking character was cute and non-intimidating.
I really enjoyed how every exercise in mindfulness was explained. They were easy to follow and the tips and tricks were super helpful.
My mind never stop singing the them song from the show, but the comics strip wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be, maybe it's not my kind of humor
Gudetama the lazy egg as an icon for mindfulness? Believe it. This cute graphic novel has great tips for living well, including organization and work-life balance as a form of self-care (plenty of time for sleeping is important to this guy!) Great tips on how to care better for, and be more mindful towards the people in your life too.
In a nutshell (eggshell?), the book boasts fun art and wholesome life advice for folks of all ages.
I'm not going to lie, it's been a while since I read this book. It's been a few months, at least. I don't really remember anything about it other than the fact it was fun and quick. I don't really know Gudetama, though, so that may be why I don't really remember much about this. It was cute and quick, either way, though.
This is a very sweet and easy way in to mindfulness, something I can see myself sharing with family and friends who I've heard talk about mindfulness but never actually try and practice it. I love the illustration style and the accessibility of it.
I wasn’t sure what I was expecting but definitely not what I read (yes, I didn’t read the synopsis beforehand). I thought it was going to be funny jokes about being lazy but I got a lecture about it. Maybe this was targeted towards children because it was childish and just stated the obvious. Whatever joke was in between wasn’t my type of humor.
Thank you NetGalley for providing me with a digital copy for an honest review.
A really cute follow up to Adulting for the Lazy, Gudetama is perfect for the millennial audience exhausted and existential.
Such a cute little book on mindfulness. Language is easy to understand and the pictures are wonderful, I almost felt like a kid reading into a cute graphical comics. If self help books bore you, you can definitely rest assured that this book won't bore you at all.
Thank you Netgalley and the publishing house for accepting my request, it's much appreciated.
I love Gudetama. I love his little butt. This was a fun book and probably would be better in physical form (as opposed to on an app)
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me a complimentary copy of this title for review!
I love Gudetama. I am that little egg. The first book (on dating) was a little unexciting to me. But I loved this one! I will be buying a physical copy to actually have on hand!
These books are short, of course, but they're lots of fun. How many times can I say "I loved this" in one review? It's so cute! (And definitely not overly self-help-y. But Gude's not the type for that anyway!)
Oh my gosh what a joy to read this was! I love the character of Gudetama and honestly, these days I may relate to them a bit too much. The drawings were cute and there are several laugh out loud moments in this one.
I am a sucker for Gudetama and materials on mindfulness so you can imagine my excitement upon this material. It's a great for people who want to get into mindfulness and makes it even more less intimidating and daunting by using Gudetama.
Honestly, the title had my heart. It was super cute and a comfort read. I'm not quite sure what else I can share about it other than it brought me joy.
