I thought of myself as creative but after reading this I realised there is so much more that I can explore.
Loved this book.
Very motivational and inspiring with great exercises.
A thoroughly enjoyable interactive read that opens your mind and inspires creativity and progression
This book is a great read for creative professionals to expand your way of thinking and idea crafting. It's a good tool for maybe advertising novices who want to learn how to think without a box.
This book had brilliant step-by-step exercises to generate and evaluate ideas. Really clear, helpful and inspiring.
A helpful approach to more business creativity. I think of myself as a fairly creative person in business, and I still got a lot out of this book, in relation to its strategies for creativity. I also read a lot of non-fiction books, and would highly recommend this. It's an easy read with implementable strategies. You'll get the most out of this book if you actively participate in the activities/ questions and genuinely ponder your answers.
Self help books fall into one of two categories, those that allow you to help yourself, and those that suggest a number of exercises that are designed to get you to think differently for the duration of the book, but that don't provide any impetus beyond the finishing of the book.
This book has a number of interesting exercises, but they're nothing that I haven't seen a hundred times before on management courses, brainstorming, and corporate gatherings. They're fine for getting you to look at things differently, but they don't cause a fundamental change in your thinking, which is usually what's needed to make a breakthrough.
If you haven't looked too much into different ways of thinking and working through things, this will be an interesting book, and on the positive side, It's well presented and clear, no one would have any issues following the exercises within. It won't give you your next big idea, but there'll be plenty of small ones, and then all you have to do is put them all together.
I’m an avid YA fiction reader so this was a little out of my comfort zone. However, I do work and study in the creative industry so this book is a ver good read and has a lot pf helpful tips. I really do recommend it,
Thank you for providing this ARC.
At first, I would like to thank Netgalley and Heard Publishing, LLC for allowing me to review this book. Keep in mind that my review, however, is my true opinion on this book.
What is your next big idea? Do you know? This book might lead you in the right direction. With the brilliant title “Your next big idea”, Samuel Sanders will tell you just how to answer those two questions.
Learn to think more creatively. Yes - it is actually something you can learn. And get better at!
You can learn to do problem solving quicker and better. Being innovative is always a good skill to have around. So why not make your skill even better. You can use this skill in your career and in your everyday life. So why not just learn this skill?
It is actually possible to get 100 new ideas every day. That is 14 ideas per day. And you can learn how to in this book. Keep an open mind and learn how to create new ideas every day!
This book has a lot of great exercises that will help you be more creative. You might find the exercises hard to do at first, but be patient and keep doing them. And by time you will find it easier to do those exercises and you will find yourself being more creative every single day.
I loved those exercises. They were fun, and you can tell a big difference as you improve.
Without straying too much from your current conditions, how can you get extra creative? read the text carefully. Listen Actively. You will find that using the frameworks fprovided in this book, you can identify problems that others are facing without it being stated explicitly, just by paying attention to the feelings and experiences of others. Practise these skills and you will have boundless ideas of how to make things better. Keep asking why till you get to the real reasons. Almost every page is actionable.
This book just gave my brain the kind of jumpstart it needed after being in a slump for months.
It's got great brainstorming ideas.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.
I have always considered myself to be a very creative person but as with all things in life, there are those people that are really good at something and at a level above them, there are the pros. This book offers a practical guide to becoming a pro at creativity and problem solving.
This is a book of ideas, generating them, harnessing them, sharing them. It has a lot of exercises and insights and is very creative in its approach. I read an ARC of this book, which I appreciate being able to do, and I believe this is definitely a book to keep on hand and savor to go to again and again.
This book offers interesting ideas to practice coming up with new ideas as well as strengthen your creativity muscles.
This is a fun book that's especially well suited for people looking for new business ideas, but also for people who just want to have fun getting creative in ideas. I had hoped it would help me more with creativity in my own interests (art, poetry and writing) and it seems more for either businesses or self-help, but it's still a fun resource. It's filled with activities, so it's especially well suited for readers who want to participate in their books.
Excellent. I've thought of myself as particularly creative, but always wanted to be creative; and I admire creative people. This is a bit like having a creativity coach in a book. The author has provided excellent step, suggestions, and ideas to help bring out the creativity in readers in accessible ways. Recommended.
I really appreciate the ARC for review!!
Your Next Big Idea gave many good insights and tips on how to approach ideas, would recommend everyone to give this a read.
I have come across different exercises of developing an idea and allocating it to real surroundings and this book is a comprehensive guide on how to come up with and idea that will be relevant. We come up with a lot of ideas daily and this book can help to filter the useful ones, shape them and see how doable they are.
Your Next Big Idea breaks down creativity, ideation, innovation, and problem-solving as skills that when implemented can help people create more ideas and carry through with them. The book provides explanation, exercises, and tips to cultivate ideas and work through any issues to pursue a steadier creative experience in life.
This book was a bit different than I anticipated, but I found it an interesting read! The exercises centred a lot around problem-solving and creative approaches to work and projects.
