** I received this as an E-ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review, Thank you!**

I have a few mixed feelings about this book. Overall I did really enjoy it. It was easy and quick to read. While I really enjoyed the fact that the main character had a big family and we got to see them interact, sometimes it felt like a bit much. I liked that this book also centered around the end of high school and graduation, this is where things fell a bit flat. After a while I wanted something fun or exciting to happen, it stayed pretty consistent through the last half of the book. I wanted more, whether it was the plot or romance. I just felt like something was missing. As I stated before, I did like this book and would still recommend it. I just think there were a lot more directions this book could have gone.

Thank you net galley for the advance reader copy of this novel. This was a contemporary YA novel about a very studious girl trying to get the last 1/2 credit for PE. This novel is a companion to the 10 Blind Dates novel that I previously read do it was fun to revisit the characters. This book was ok. I appreciated that it was clean. I hope we get a novel about the other characters, like Wes.

after book one and to see what they are all getting into now, post blind dates. but, i do wish we got to see a family tree or something just resaying how so and so was related to who cause it got to be confusing and i honestly just wanted the refresher.

and it was also cool to see Charlie, Wes, and Sophie's pov again and to see their thoughts when they got this phone and to see them go to them at the different parties.

but, it did get annoying that Olivia knew shit about golf. like, she signed up for this class, and they gave her pamphlet after pamphlet about how to play golf and all of it, but she just didn't know, and it was just so annoying after awhile.

being completely honest, i really wish we got more romance. like, of course their was romance, but i wished it took a little bit more of the plot, and that we could see more of the overall plot about them getting together and being an actual couple.

I loved 10 Blind Dates so I was very excited to jump back into that world. It was hard for me not to compare the two and I was definitely missing some of that Christmas magic this time around. However, this book is still so much fun. I love this family and their sneaky ways. There’s even a tiny bit of secretive matchmaking going on.

I just love this family and the stunts they always manage to pull have me cracking up throughout the book. All the aunts, uncles, and overbearing parents are back. And it was nice to have little snippets of narration from Charlie, Sophie, and Wes along with our lead Olivia. It’s fun to get inside each of their heads.

There are some mentions of 10 Blind Dates (which I highly recommend reading!) but this can easily be a standalone. So if you love hijinks, parties, golf, and secrets, this is your book.

Thank you to netgalley and Disney Hyperion for my copy of this book. It’s on shelves today!

This book was so much fun! I adored 10 Blind Dates and this story follows the same family, except we follow Olivia this time. (Olivia is Sophie’s cousin from 10 Blind Dates)

This book follows Olivia right before her graduation. She finds out she’s short a credit and needs to help out at a golf tournament to make it up. But she doesn’t want her family knowing about it, and her mom tracks her phone, so she switches phones with a different cousin every day. This book was super cute and really enjoyable to read. There’s a romance in here as well that I was rooting for. I just love the relationships between Olivia and her cousins and the rest of her family.

This book is out TODAY, so pick it up! I definitely recommend it for a fun summer read. Thanks to netgalley for the advanced copy!!

In 10 Blind Dates I fell in love with its big and chaotic but super lovable Italian family. I was thrilled to hear we'd be getting more of them with 10 Truths and a Dare. The story was fun if not a little dramatic at times.

I loved seeing the Fab Four again! More of Sophie and Wes as a couple was everything and Charlie was his usual charming self. They stood solidly by Olivia and went to hilarious lengths to cover for her. It was most priceless watching them dodge perceptive Nonna. I wish we saw more of the extended family though. The aunts, uncles and other cousins weren't as much in 10 Truths and a Dare as they were in 10 Blind Dates which is just too bad.

I liked hardworking Olivia. She royally screws up but instead of accepting her fate, she finds a way to put things right. "No matter what's going on, it's only temporary. Work through the problem, find the solution, and fix it." (eARC, Loc 2130) It wasn't very nice of her to rope others into her mess but I agree that she deserves the future she worked hard for.

So Olivia and Leo had sweet moments but their romance was missing the spark for me. I didn't really feel it in the handful of interactions they had. Granted, they got to know each other better at every encounter so the buildup was there. Their chemistry, however, was not. Sophie and Wes cuteness made up for a little of it.

While the romance in 10 Truths and a Dare didn't work for me, I loved the characters and their innocent dramatic flair. Funny, adorable and helpful, they made the story!

10 Truths and a Dare is the sequel to 10 Blind Dates, a book I loved and couldn't get enough of. I had high hopes for this YA novel, but I think it just fell a little flat for me.

We are back with the big Italian family! I do feel like this book focused more on rival between the older cousins, instead of overall family vibe, and I missed that a bit. But getting to check in on Sophie, Wes, and Charlie, and even get chapters from their POV, which was clever.

The changes in POV could have led to my other criticism: it all just felt a bit shallow for me. I think I just wanted more - more big family shenanigans, more romance, more character development.

But overall, I enjoyed this sweet novel, and would recommend to fans of To All The Boys I've Love Before and Meet Me At Midnight.

Short and Sweet Review
It’s Olivia’s senior year and because its almost graduation its a week filled with parties! Olivia is Salutatorian and ready for college except for one problem, she may not graduate because of an off-campus PE class. Now Olivia has to make up the PE credit and try to avoid anyone in her family finding out. With the help of her cousins and best friends, Charlie, Sophie and Wes, they spend the week trading phones, going to parties, and trying their best to avoid getting caught.
I fell in love with this book! Olivia has a big Italian family and its almost time for graduation and its a week of parties that Olivia is unfortunately missing. After finding out that she may not be graduating Olivia feels like her world is falling apart but after finding Coach Cantu and trying to figure out a way to get him to sign her form to graduate, she ends up making a deal with him and becomes his assistant for the golf tournament for the week. Knowing that her mom is keeping tabs on her every move Olivia plans to trade phones with her cousins and sends them to the parties while she works at the golf club. At the golf club Olivia also starts talking to Leo who’s in the tournament but who has also been staying with her aunt and cousins. I liked these two they mainly just talked and got to know each other but the chemistry was there. My favorite part was watching how Sophie, Charlie, and Wes would man the phone, especially when it came to dealing with Olivia’s mom.
This book was funny and heartfelt and I just fell in love with it! At some point I even found myself crying with Olivia. I just felt for her but this was a fun book and I loved following Olivia and the Fab Four and she just has a great family. Pick this book up, it’s just gets you ready for grad season!

I adored 10 BLIND DATES so the news of a companion novel within the same family was amazing. I requested it so quickly. Naturally, I would have loved for this book to also be a holiday book, but I'm a huge fan of graduation-related books too. I knew I couldn't go wrong.

While my reading at the end of April took a nosedive for various reasons, I became addicted to this one when I finally sat down and made the time to read it. I finished over half of the book one morning and didn't even realize I was nearing the end! Elston has such an engaging writing style and her characters are so entertaining.

This book centers around Sophie's cousin, Olivia, as she struggles to make up for lost PE credits during her senior week. She's tasked with working a local golf tournament during their senior week, missing grad parties and fun events along the way. The catch? No one in her family (except her cousins in the Fab Four of course) knows the situation with her missing half-credit. AND her mom just recently installed a location app on her phone, so she needs her phone to be at all of the grad parties that week to look "normal." Sophie, Wes, and Charlie are responsible for bringing Sophie's phone where it needs to be while she works at the country club. Naturally, this scenario causes a lot of issues, lies, and miscommunications. It usually would annoy me but Elston's writing made it way more entertaining and fun instead of stressful and frustrating.

It was also really fun to spend a few paragraphs in each chapter inside the cousins' heads, plus Wes, while they babysat Olivia's phone. The whole family is what makes these books so good - I could read more from every single character perspective. We start to even KIND OF see a turn about the Evil Joes - I'd be so curious to read what goes on in their heads!

There's a little romance, which is somewhat important in the book, but I found myself more interested in everything else. Leo was a nice character overall but honestly? There was not a ton of character development for him or their relationship. I liked their flirting and thought they would be a nice pair, but the romance was not center stage here from a development perspective.

All in all, this was a lovely companion to 10 BLIND DATES and has put Eltson on my auto-buy list (at least for her contemporaries - I haven't tried her others yet!). The romance was lacking a little bit for me and it didn't have exactly the same magic as its predecessor, which is why it's rated slightly less. I think waiting to see what would happen on all ten blind dates is what made book one so fun, especially as we got to know each family member setting them up, and this one had less of a "theme." (There were truths to start each chapter and fun party themes, but that's about it.) If you liked her previous book, you will love this one too.

This was such a cute and fast-paced read and I read it in a night. If you read 10 Blind Dates, it picks right back up with the Fab Four and their large and nosy extended family as Olivia has to sneak around during Senior Week to make up a gym credit to graduate.

The story was fun and reminded me of all the activities at the end of senior year of high school (and even my college Senior Week). I loved watching Olivia rely on her family and friends to run her parental-monitored cell phone while she is running around on a golf course supporting a tournament.

Overall it's a sweet story with great friendships, an entertaining family, some fun parties and a cute boy. If you want a story that will have you smiling and warm your heart, pick this up! It can be read as a standalone to 10 Blind Dates if you haven't read that yet.

Thank you NetGalley and Disney Publishing for my copy in exchange for a review.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily posting a review.
This is a fast read, and I didn’t hate it. But I definitely wasn’t the right audience for it, given it is for younger readers. Overall, it’s cute, if requiring some suspension of disbelief.

I'd like to thank Netgalley and Disney-Hyperion for gifting me this e-book in exchange for an honest review.

This is an author that is new to me and I think I am hooked. I didn't realize that this was a continuation to a previous book but the good news is is that it can be read as a stand alone. I loved this main character and felt like I really understood and knew who she was. It's rare to find a genuinely good girl in a story and really admire her.

One of the things that drew me in was Olivia's family. I love stories with big close knit families who are in each others business. I've always wanted a family where everyone just comes to your house uninvited but knows they are welcome and they'll be fed and whatever.

This book was cute, well written and light hearted. It was just what I needed after reading some heavier books. I would definitely this book for myself and my daughters.

I LOVED 10 Blind Dates and am sad that I didn't enjoy this as much.

10 Truths and a Dare features different members of the Messinas, the same large, lively extended Italian family as 10 Blind Dates.

I think the structure that the 10 dates had was missing in this for me. I thought the plot dragged at times and the romance, while fine, wasn't nearly as cute.

Olivia, the book's main character, is Sophie's cousin (Sophie was the main character in book one) and can't be the salutatorian because of some mix-up with a gym class. So she has to work at a golf tournament instead.

For me this was just okay, and missing the magic of the first book.

Another enjoyabke read by Ashley Elston! I loved reading about this family in 10 Blind Dates and enjoyed revisiting them in this story! A fun rom-com read, set during the week before graduation, this is the story of Olivia. Olivia expected to cruise thru this week of grad parties and give her graduation speech before starting the next chapter of her life, until she realizes she is a half credit short in PE. This is a story of friendship and family, sprinkled with lies, love, golf and a helicopter mom. Fun YA read. Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

10 Blind Dates was one of my favorites last year so I was looking forward to reading 10 Truths and a Dare. When i found out it was one of the cousins from 10 Blind Dates I was beyond thrilled! They're such an awesome family and I will happily read more books about them.

10 Truths and a Dare feature Olivia, a senior who found herself in a bit of a pickle right at the end of her senior year. Her journey towards graduation was filled with fun, stress and this intense crazy plan that stressed me out on a personal level, but added an interesting element to the story.

Olivia is in need of a 1/2 credit and will be working at the golf course, but enlists her family and friends to help her by switching phones so her parents don't know that she's in jeopardy of not graduating. I really liked this element of the story, especially when the boys had her phone (her mom is all up in her business lol).

Throw in a cute boy, parties and some friends and it's one wild ride. Highly recommend!

I was looking forward to this sequel after loving 10 Blind Dates last Christmas, and I wasn't disappointed.

I hope there are 20 more books about the Messina family, because I love them. The author's writing truly captures the dynamics of a large, close-knit family. The "10 events" format is unique (themed graduation parties, in this case) and adds extra fun to the story. I'd recommend this for any fans of lighthearted YA romances!

This was like a warm hug. At this point I will read anything about the Messina family, no matter the plot. I just love this family so much.

This book mostly follows Olivia, who we met in the first book, as she tries to ensure she graduates after a PE mishap. Basically, Olivia screwed up and now she has to spend the entire week working a golf tournament instead of going to fun parties for grad. This would be bad enough, but the hitch is that Olivia's mom is tracking her every move, and Olivia doesn't want anyone to know that she messed up. So naturally, she employs Sophie, Charlie, and Wes to attend parties for her and field her mother's texts- basically pretend to be her all week. (This is why we get the others POVs sprinkled in, which I thought was a really fun touch).

I loved Olivia's voice, even more than I love Sophie's. Olivia is the epitome of anxious gifted kid, and it was very relatable lol. I also loved watching her not only have to ask for help, but also come to realize how much people love her for her. I really loved the message of making sure you don't only place value on one thing- you are worth more than your one defining "thing". Olivia is such a fun character to read from, and I loved the addition of everyone else's POV.

The romance in this was really cute too! Of course my favourite thing about these books is the familial love, but I still really liked the romance. I thought it was really sweet and I liked how much they balanced each other. I also really liked how Wes, Charlie, and Sophie dropped all past qualms with the love interest (no spoilers lol) just because Olivia genuinely liked him.

This family is just so good. It's the best part of these books, even if the romance is always really cute. The Messina family is loving and chaotic and loyal and ridiculous, and reading these books just feels cozy because of it. It is exactly as chaotic as a real family this big is, trust me, but I appreciate that in the end the characters still really love being a part of the mess. I could read about this family doing basically anything, and for some reason I just love it so much. I also really liked that this book didn't forget to show friendship love too. It's got all kinds of love represented and I really love that.

Overall this book just feels like being surrounded by love, loyalty, and support. It's like being in Nonna's kitchen, with constant food and company. It is just so nice. And the plot is always so much fun! This one has the chaos of everyone pretending to be Olivia, but it also has all these really fun, vividly described, awesome parties with different themes and activities. It is so much fun to read about. I loved the idea of everyone going to all these over-the-top themed parties, and it was really fun to imagine all of them.

This book just made me so happy. I hope this isn't the last Ashley Elston writes from this family, cause I love them all so much.

What an adorable story! Even though I had already pre-ordered it, I was still thrilled to receive an ARC of this book, so thank you to the author and publisher for allowing me early access in exchange for an unbiased review.

I devoured "10 Blind Dates" by Ashley Elston last year and was so excited to hear that she was writing a companion novel with Sophie's cousin, Olivia, as the main character. This book lived up to my expectations. So many things I loved about "10 Blind Dates" were present in "10 Truths and a Dare" too: hilarious and sweet family dynamics, humor, a sweet romance, rivalry with the "Evil Joes," and tricky situations only the Messina family could get themselves into. I thoroughly enjoyed my reading experience and can't wait to get my hands on the physical book on Tuesday.

Was this book ground-breaking or life-changing? Probably not... but I was HAPPY while reading it and caught myself grinning through several parts. Sometimes that's just what we need.

I find myself recommending "10 Blind Dates" often, and I'm sure I'll add this one to my recommendations list too.
