A book that looks back to the Seventies and the movies that were made, and how they were made before all of the special effects. It was a nice way to look back on the decade as having grown and graduating high school in the Seventies. Seeing the different movies brought back memories and of course, everyone who grew up from that period has just as much opinion about the music in the movies also. Found this to be a very good book.

Loved the nostalgia that this book brought back. Growing up in the 70's some of this was above my head but for those that were teens or older during this time, I think this would be a big hit.

Really liked the approach (chapters by year/film) and the 360-degree social and political climate details. It put the movies and era into context. Was delighted to include it in April’s “Hollywood Confidential” list of notable new titles about the people, culture, and business of moviemaking (pegged to the Academy Awards) in Zoomer magazine’s book section.

The Seventies talks of the movies in the decades before the Seventies and then goes in depth on the film making in the seventies. The author details the producers, actors and genres and films of the seventies. This book would be a nostalgic look back for anyone that lived through the decade.
