This book changed the way I view my relationship with my body, and how healing can take place. it's a 5-star must read for anyone looking to improve their health and overall wellbeing!
This is a great book to help you do the work to heal from trauma. The author first explains trauma, shame, guilt, and grief and how they effect our bodies. There are meditation and journal prompts for each one. Then there is the action bridge which included supremes, process, and release. Lastly there is the Fab Four which includes happy, joy, connected, and empowered. This is an interactive book that involves taking action in order to heal and to be a new you. You are worth it! Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for an ARC.

This is a nice introduction and manual for people interested in nurturing self-love and self-compassion, and exploring a combination of body work and meditation.
This is a very helpful book for those who appreciate self-help books with alternative approaches to health and healing. It helps you identify issues within your body, emotions that our body holds. You will learn how to identify where trauma, shame, guilt, and grief are holding in your body. Through meditations and worksheets, you will get a greater understanding of what your body holds and how to release that. Author also suggests affirmations in combinations with mudra for each. And of course she offers also the answers, what kind of action you need to create change.
I listened to the audiobook and read the book at the same time and I think both versions are very good. It is ideal to have both, because with book it is easier to follow and audiobook is very good because you can also listen to all the guided meditations. If you are reading the book without an audiobook, I suggest you visit author’s website where you can listen to these meditations that are written in the book.
Thanks to HCI Books the for the ARC and the opportunity to read this! All opinions are my own.
An excellent manual for understanding & decoding the language of our body, how to identify what it's saying, and how to heal past trauma, hurts, and pains. The author gives you journaling exercises to make the experience more personal.
Healing Ourselves Whole is a beautiful book that puts you on a journey towards letting go of pain/trauma. It shows how it ends up being stored in our body and offers wonderful mediations and insights on helping you regain mental/physical clarity again. This book was especially great for me. I've been through a lot mentally and physically with my own healthy issues and loss and it's really made a difference. I highly recommend to anyone who needs to recapture their happiness again.
This is a fantastic self help book, which really helped me a lot. I really enjoyed doing all of the meditations and I especially liked the flowers on the carrots, the cord cutting and meeting my guardian angel at the end. The book is very informative, with lots of information on how pain and trauma are stored in the body and how to heal and release them. I loved this book and it has changed my life for the better, as I was able to release pain from two areas of my body which had been bothering me. I highly recommend this book.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and Net Galley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book lends an extraordinary perspective on what it means to intentionally examine our past and consider the ways we might have been impacted by shame, guilt, abuse and trauma in life. Instead of this being a surface-level book, Francis goes deep in offering suggestions and remedies for healing that one could implement. I'm still in the information gathering phase of my navigation towards mental wellness, yet I know this gem has morsels and antidotes for the journey.
What an awesome book for self help. I found it easy to follow and very informative. I really took a lot from within its pages. Thank you.
Healing Ourselves Whole goes more deeply into the body’s role in held traumas/grief/shame than any other book I’ve come across. I found the information on how & where trauma is held and transported and that memory is transported through blood and plasma very interesting. The author asks you to release the emotion held in the physical body but not to relive the trauma that caused the emotion which are two very different things. The accompanying audios are perfect. I read the complete book first and am now going back to address my “carrots”. Chapter 7 “Release” about cutting energetic cords was the one chapter that I did the meditation as I was reading-amazing! A great book for anyone interested in letting go of pain/trauma.
