A Cowboy Kind Of Love is amazing. I loved every little twist and turn of this one. You are kept on your toes to the very end. Jace is fabulous and you get why he is in so much pain. Taryn is stuck and just trying to do what she thinks is the right thing. There is so much chemistry with Taryn and Jace even after a couple years apart. I love how Jace and the rest of his friends do not hesitate and jump in to help Taryn out. This will take you on a page turning twist that you do not see coming. I loved every moment of Taryn and Jace and how they reconnect.
The latest in the series of the clearview cowboys.
Jace has been in love with Taryn for years. One night 5 years ago, Taryn vanished. Jace has no idea what happened to her or why she left. Jace is driving around and sees Taryn in a car and follows her to a diner and says hello. He is very angry and so Taryn goes to his house to explain why she left. Jace and his family and friends then become involved in a very dangerous situation to save Taryn from one of the worst criminals in us history.
I thought this was a great read. I realy enjoyed it. I have read every single book in the series starting wth Abbys and there hasnt been one i have not liked.
Bring on Cash, Ryan, and Bricks books!
What more could you ask for then a chance to mend a broken heart, get answers to questions you didn’t even know needed asking, and finding that your friends are just as invested in the outcome as you? Well, we’re about to find out as we see Jace, struggling to recover from a broken heart after the woman he loved skipped town with no answers, no reasons that he could find, and no real goodbye.
Taryn was between a rock and a hard place, with a need to protect her family at all costs when she left town years ago. But things didn’t slow down for her, in fact, things got far worse and there’s no one she’d rather turn to than Jace. But will he help – and how much of what she’s struggled to deal with on her own can he be trusted to help with?
Enter friends, some solid military tactics, a realization that true love and feelings never quite die, and Jace’s need to repair his broken heart with the one who always held the key. We see that it was circumstances not the relationship that separated the two, and their feelings, indeed their connection, is just as strong. With lots of answers, plenty of heart and steam to rival a sauna, Grant takes us through a second chance story at a love reunited. While I read this without having read others in the series, I wasn’t lost or confused, and can see how readers of the series would appreciate the other characters returning to visit, offer words of wisdom, friendship and support.
I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Intense read with danger, suspense, and some steamy romance. This is a second chance romance though the storyline is more suspense than romance. Well written storyline with interesting characters that I have become invested in from reading all the books in the series. While it is part of a series (Heart of Texas) it can be read as a standalone. Characters from the previous books make appearances but you won’t be lost. With each book in the series there is a dire circumstance that have this group of friends/family rally and help. It’s a really good series, so go ahead and give the previous books a read. The storyline is told with a good pace.

The is an amazing second chance story. It's a great concept with amazing characters.
Jace has been pining for Taryn who disappeared without so much of an explanation five years ago. Taryn is in trouble and isn't having much luck in getting any help. She resorts to seeking Jace out to explain the circumstances of her disappearance. She has been having a rough time fighting to protect her family. She wasn't always successful. Now that Jace is aware of the situation, he is willing to pull out all the stops to get her out of this dire predicament.
Jace's friends are sopportive and will do anything to help. The romance and friendships are captivating. I love the storyline and the interactions amongst all the characters. The twist at the end is gobsmacking. It sort of reinforces the saying that "You can choose your friends but you can't choose your family". It's a fantastic addition to the series series and I absolutely love it.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing the eARC. The views expressed are my personal opinion.
A Cowboy Kind of Love is the sixth book in the Heart of Texas series by Donna Grant. A captivating romantic suspense with a sexy cowboy and lots of drama. The characters are well-written with intriguing backstories that are relatable. The story pulls you in from the beginning and holds your attention until the very until all while the story unfolds at a smooth, steady pace that is sure to leave you wanting more.
Well, I was looking forward to Jace's story, but to me it was just meh.
It dragged quite a bit, and I just couldn't with Taryn. I hated how he was still hung up on her after she up and left. I hated that whe it was about her, she turned up and dragged him into her crap - then ever 2.3 seconds was saying "I don't want you to get involved in this" - girl, please *insert eye roll*
Jace is way, and i mean >i>waaaaaytoo good for Taryn, and I hate that he gets sucked in by her again, and again, and again. Dear God man, run as far and as fast as you can!
I did love seeing the guys and gals from the previous books, and this one really was the anomoly in the series for me.
Taryn broke Jace’s heart when she left town without a goodbye. Now she is back but in a very dangerous situation. Can Jade help her win her freedom again and be finally together? A rollercoaster of emotions, action packet love story.
Wonderful book with just enough heat to keep the pages turning. This is my first book in this series but definitely not my last. Looking forward to more. This is why I love a good cowboy book
Jace and Taryn’s second chance love story in A Cowboy Kind of Love by Donna Grant, book six in her Heart of Texas series, was truly enjoyable. Dashing cowboy Jace Wilder has been working on rebuilding his life since the love of his life, Taryn Hillman, unexpectedly left town. When she mysteriously appears back in town, Jace’s world is upended all around him. Taryn’s world fell apart one awful night and it has not improved over the years. When she has a small chance to escape that life, she grabs it, despite returning to Clearview and seeing Jace again. Taryn tries to keep her secrets from Jace but the magnetic attraction they shared is still alive, pulling them together, being hotter and more sizzling, than before. When Jace discovers the secrets and trouble Taryn is hiding, he will do anything to keep her safe; even if it mean bringing in his buddies and breaking the law. Now these two soul mates need to learn to trust each other again as well as spend their life together; not ever letting go.
Ms. Grant wrote an amazing, passionate, suspenseful and emotional story that is truly not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, supportive friends, scary situations, and strong characters, giving Jace and Taryn a chance at trust, love and a forever together. I highly recommend A Cowboy Kind of Love to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
A Cowboy Kind of Love by Donna Grant is set in small town Texas. Jace is a former military operative who had his heart broken by Taryn, his former girlfriend. She left him unexpectedly in the middle of the night 5 years ago. I have enjoyed books by Ms. Grant in the past. I like Jace, who doesn’t like a cowboy and military in the same man! Taryn, on the other hand, was a different story for me. She seemed unsure of herself and how to get herself out of trouble. This is a second chance romance with suspense and most of the time I love this genre. The writing style and the author, herself, I like. Most of you will like it, so go forth and dive in! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. ****
"A Cowboy Kind of Love" by Donna Grant
A Suspense story of Ties that Bind and an intense story
This story is part of a series but can easily be read as a stand-alone. It took me awhile but I did remember some of the characters from previous stories in prior years. This story seemed to get off to a slow start but I think it was just where I was coming from because after awhile it really seemed to be very busy and time just flew by as I continued on through to the final scene. Happy Reading !!
NOTE: I received an ARC of this story from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.
I’ve done it again, judged a book by its cover. I thought for sure this was going to be one of those sweet cowboy romance books and I remember reading other books by this author, but ... I always seem to skim over the description and miss important facts. This book is NOT your run of the mill contemporary romance - this is definitely suspenseful and has its share of bad guys and gals. I really should’ve read my review of the previous book in the series before picking up this one. I am not a fan of bad things happening, so I wasn’t a fan of this book - but that was of NO fault of the author.
I finished the story and was on the edge the entire time. I wanted nothing more than to suggest that the publisher use different cover images to let future readers not to expect the typical cowboy romance book - this book has blood and gun violence. Definitely more of a Lifetime book and less of a Hallmark book.
A second chance to mend a broken heart. But will all of the hurt be forgotten or forgiven? Will Taryn reason's for leaving be what causes even more troubles in the present? An action packed, suspenseful cowboy romance that contains a mystery, a passion and a drama all at the same time.
This romantic suspense was so good! It starts out with your heart breaking for Jace, who's love walked away from him several years ago. He has no idea where she went or why she walked away. He's in such a dark place that you really have to wonder if there is a way out for him.
Taryn is one tough character. She has been through hell, including having to walk away from Jace. The situation she has been in would have dropped the normal person to their knees. Her life is in danger and Jace is the only one who can help her.
I loved the characters from the previous books showing up to help the couple. The way it all played out made for a fast paced, page turning book that I could not put down. I finished it in two days. Awesome!
I was given a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.
This was a fast and suspenseful read that reminded me of Maya Banks KGI series - but a little less steamy. I like the friendship between Jace and his friends. I loved how they rallied around Taryn and worked tirelessly to get her out of her situation. I struggled a little with the fast change from mad to in love but when it's a second chance, sometimes that works out faster than you expect! rounded up from 3.5
A Cowboy Kind of Love is book six in Donna Grant’s Heart of Texas Series. This is such an exciting romantic suspense series. One of the reason is because while the guys are all close friends with military background now living in a small Texas town each story is unique in its own way. This is Jace’s story which really begun years ago when he met Taryn. She was the one for him until she left after leaving a hastily written text. Now it is five years later.
It is a well-done and page turning story that has intrigue from the very beginning that keeps intensifying as the story progresses as Taryn returns to Clearview, looking for help out of a dreadful situation. The danger is not only leveled against her increases the suspense.
It is about friendship, standing together and love that overcomes. A Cowboy Kind of Love is a great addition to what is one of Donna Grant’s best series to date.
An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Good mystery with a big surprise,at the end. Even though it is a slightly predictable romance read,it will keep you turning pages. The cover gives adequate information so I'll not repeat. This is part of a series but I have not read them all and found this easy to follow. Just enough twists and turns to keep you interested. It is not a deep mystery or romance but characters are active throughout. A good break from heavy reads.
I was invited to read this book but was under no obligations to read or provide a review. The opinions expressed are my own. Many thanks to the author, St.Martin's Press & NetGalley for allowing me to read this book.
Jace Wilder had the woman he loved and was ready to ask her to marry him when she disappeared. Taryn Hillman loved Jace but one night she and her family were all kidnapped and forced to work for a drug lord. Her dad and brother wer both killed at one point and now she's only got her sister left and she will do anything to protect her only family member left. Forced back to her hometown and eventually to Jace the two have to find their way back to each other if they can. Everything comes out when Jace gets over the shock of seeing her again. Of course he's all in to save her. This is a pretty action packed book from the very beginning. Jace and his family of friends have his back and in turn Taryn's. Lots of twists and turns throughout this book. Guessing how it all will end to the very last pages.

It was just okay. Jace and Taryn were dating and in love until one day Taryn and her family just left. Turns out that the biggest drug lord in the south took them and Tatum is now selling for him as a way to pay off a family debt and save her sister.
Jace still loves Taryn and wants her back. He enlists the help of his friends to take down the drug lord and save Taryn. Nothing will stop him from this mission.
The romance was flat and I didn’t feel a connection between the two main characters. Twist at the end took me by surprise though.
