I received an advance copy of, A Trail of Lies by, Kylie Logan. This is a great thriller. Murder, intrigue, a real whodunit.
A TRAIL OF LIES ..Kylie Logan
Nick was part of the gang task force out of town and long hours.
A night call it was Nick’s mother, Kim, an alcoholic, saying he was dead in her backyard. It wasn’t Nick, nor any man when Jazz got there and Kim saying she killed him. Nick had been informed and given same information from Kim. Telling Nick "Family is the most important thing". standing by Kim, until she was ready to go into rehab. For Nick taking the DNA test, his brothers
A time to celebrate, the joys of family, such as they are.
Given ARC from Net Galley and St Martin Press for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
This is an engrossing mystery with well defined characters, a compelling plot and, since I spent part of my life in Cleveland, a setting that I enjoyed revisiting. Jazz Ramsay works as an administrative aide at a local girl's school and, in addition, has a hobby of working with cadaver dogs. In the middle of the night she gets a phone call from her boyfriend Nick's mother, Kim. telling her that there is a body in her backyard. when Jazz goes over there she does not find a body, but she later brings over one of the cadaver dog who finds that a body had been there. When a body is found at a local park, and turns out to be someone from Kim's past, Jazz investigates to find out what happened and to clear Kim from suspicion. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
Good book! This book definitely has twists and turns! Its filled with suspense, action, intrigue and plenty of heart pounding moments! I enjoyed reading this one but my mind wandered a bit in spots so I took a star off for that but it was a good read and definitely worth it! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
Was there a body in the backyard? Try this one and keep guessing. This book was sent to me on Kindle by Netgalley for review...it is character driven with some characters who are intriguing, while others are just there in the story. The protagonist goes on a journey to solve the mystery with mayhem at every corner. Try it.
I honestly didn't know what this would be all about! I went in blind. If I'm being honest this just wasn't for me.
I thought this book was a bit slow. I didn't connect with any of the characters. And that kind of disappointed me
This is the third book in this series and I have read each one. It had lots of characters but my favorite ones were the dogs. I would think it would be extremely hard to train cadaver dogs. I was surprised at who did it
