Fabulous! A book that can turn some of your thoughts on your 50s and beyond upside down and for the better. It’s not a super long read but it is packed with inspiring suggestions to challenge any thinking that ageing is something to be dreaded. It has some great quotes too. I throughly enjoyed reading it.

Midlife, No Crisis is an accessible and motivating book, ideal for anyone slightly terrified at the looming prospect of turning 50. The advice is bite sized and doable, it helps you feel like you're taking control of your health and wellbeing. The advice is fairly broad, health and diet is well covered but i found the focus on state of mind was particularly useful - helping you connect back into yourself when the likelihood is life is pulling you in many different directions. An honest and uplifting read.

This is a very short, encouraging book that will work well to put you in a better mindset about approaching 50 and menopause. It gives good advice about how to put a good spin on things, make positive changes, and so on.
That said, it's really not going to be a great fit for people who are dealing with serious crises in midlife. There is no mention of many of the issues that do make this time period so hard for many -- the deaths of more and more loved ones, caring for elderly parents, empty nest grief, living with chronic illness, job insecurity, fears about being able to afford retirement, and so many more. This book is great if your life is pretty much good but you're feeling sad about gray hair and extra pounds, and maybe a lot of your friendships have faded away. For the tougher stuff, this may feel pretty shallow. It's still good advice, but it's short, simple and largely designed for privileged women who just want to feel happier in their already nice lives.
I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for review.
