An interesting read for someone curious about speaking in tongues. Thought provoking.

I got this book not knowing what to expect, as speaking in tongues is foreign to me and my religious training and practices. Overall, it was greatly educational, thought-provoking and inspirational.
The author's key message is speaking in tongues is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit within us. Regardless of how readers feel about communicating in tongues, the deeper take away is that we do not show the Holy Spirit the same intensity, focus or attention as the Father and Son.
I see this as my main learning point from this read - the Holy Spirit is within us always, let us live in reference and in reverence to Him.
The rest of the read is fascinating, talking about the purpose of speaking in tongues, with Biblical references. Regardless of your preconceived notions on speaking in tongues, this is a very well done reading, and I highly recommend!
Robert Henderson is truly a gifted author. I had been struggling to understand the gift of tongues. After reading this book, I now understand much. I realized that speaking is tongues, for me personally, is not debatable. It is a blessing from God. I love the fact that He gives examples of this gift backed with powerful scriptures. Highly recommend this book to anyone desiring to learn more about tongues and the Holy Spirit.
In Gift of Tongues, Robert Henderson provides Biblical scripture to throughly explain this gift given by the Holy Spirit and why this gift of tongues is so important to a Christian’s prayer life. He provides information on how the process takes place and addresses the misbeliefs and rumors surrounding this gift. And throughout the book, he explains how this gift to man interacts with all three persons of the Trinity.
I am very interested in the study of gift of tongues that make a controversial route among all. But through this book, Henderson provide biblical way to understand it comprehensively. I hope that you can read through this book too...
