After reading Forever with You last year I was so excited to see Emily and Tim had their own book coming out. Fake dating plus friends to lovers is always a good time and this one did not disappoint. After Tim goes through a messy break up he starts to lean on his long time friend Emily who has been harboring a crush on him from high school. This fake dating blurs some lines and soon they don't know if its fake anymore.

I really enjoyed seeing everyone from Sapphire Springs again and getting to know Emily more. I did enjoy this book alot but one thing kept it from being a five star read but that is kind of a spoiler. If you don't mind some spoilers continue to read. If not turn away and know that you will probably love this book! There are a few things that annoy me in books (this being one of them) and I am sure most people will not care.

Keep reading at your own risk.

The timeline throughout this whole book just seemed rushed. Tim and his ex broke up in September ON NATIONAL TV. He thought that he was going to marry this girl and yet is only given like 3 months to get over the whole three year relationship. From the very beginning he tells Emily that he wants to take things slow which is completely understandable but only two months in to their fake/now real relationship she freaks out and dumps him because "he won't commit to me fast enough". Even when other characters bring up the fact that it is unfair to give him an ultimatum when he literally just got out of a serious relationship/started to understand his feelings for you when Emily has been in love with him for years, Emily just brushes it off. They literally start fake dating maybe the second or third week of January and shes freaking out about commitment by the middle of March. If the author had made the time line longer or Tim's past relationship shorter maybe I could look past the absurd behavior by Emily. Again this is a tiny thing but it just turned me off of liking Emily by the end. I get being older and not wanting to waste time, but telling someone that you are okay with taking things slow and then immediately going back on your word is not okay.

Thanks for the widget. I gave it a try, but the premise struck me as silly and the characters didn't grab me. DNF. No published review

A delightful visit to Sapphire Springs. The couple have been friends since high school. His appearance on a reality show shakes up his life. Family and friends are all involved in the aftermath. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley.

How do you respond when the guy you have had a crush on for years asks you to be his fake girlfriend? Emily faces precisely that predicament.

This was a really fun take on the fake dating trope. I had liked both Emily and Tim in Forever With You and hoped they would end up together. When this book begins, Tim is just as oblivious to Emily's feelings as ever as ever, but they are also best friends.

Emily and Tim both serve on town council and have local businesses. The discussion of the town makes Sapphire Springs sound lovely with a constant stream of festivals. I would especially like to attend the maple syrup festival. Be prepared with yummy snacks when reading this story. Between the maple festival and Emily's amazing patisserie, there are tons of descriptions of scrumptious baked goods.

Tim and Emily are both really kind and family-oriented people with a strong sense of community. They feel like such a great match for each other.

Thank you to Forever for the book. These opinions are my own.

Thanks to Forever for the free advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I have been excited to return to Sapphire Springs since I read the first book in this series, particularly because I loved the beginnings of Emily and Tim's romance in Leyna's book (although this book can definitely be read as a stand-alone.) Only for You did not disappoint. If you are in the mood for a small-town romance, involving a little fake dating, this is the novel for you!

Emily is a hopeless romantic who has had a crush on her friend Tim since high school. Tim recently got dumped on a reality show and needs a fake relationship to keep the aggressive fans off his back. Emily agrees and soon the two discover that the connection between them is real. I thought this book was very sweet and there were definitely some parts that had me cheesin' and swooning. Was Tim a little dramatic? Could all of their problems have been solved by setting their Instagram accounts to private? Also yes, but that didn't keep me from enjoying the story. I hope this series continues because I am excited for more love in Sapphire Springs!

This weekend i was coming off a book hangover and struggling to connect with my next book. At a friend's recommendation, I grabbed Only for You. I enjoyed Leyna and Jay's story and fell in love with Sapphire springs. I enjoyed Emily's moments during Forever with You and I was super excited for her story.

Only for You releases in July and it's the perfect sweet summer read. Emily and Tim are high school friends. Emily has loved him from afar since high school, but Tim thinks he's not her type based on an off hand comment she made a few years ago. The two have a close friendship, live in the same building, and recently joined the town council together. Tim recently went through a very public breakup. He was dumped and it was part of his ex's reality tv show. Women everywhere are falling in love with him and flock to Sapphire Springs. To quiet some of the media storm, Tim's colleague suggested he enter a "fake relationship" with Emily. She's originally turned off, but eventually agrees when she negotiates a party for her Grandmother on one of his boats that was previously booked. Because they're already great friends, the relationship develops into more quickly.

After struggling to get into a book, I ready 2/3 of this in one night. I just adored Emily and Tim. They had such a sweet friendship, banter and instant chemistry. They were supposed to be in a fake relationship but they start to do dates that are far from the public eye. I enjoyed their relationship, how much they cared for each other and their chemistry. Tim and Emily have the typical relationship challenges you could expect but they work through them well. I loved this book and can't wait to see what Barb Curtis writes next.

“He seriously had no idea that he’d described something she’d longed for day in and day out for-freaking-ever. And it was nothing but a big joke to him.”

What You’ll Find:
✔️Friends to Lovers Romance
✔️Fake Relationship
✔️Smalltown
✔️Unrequited Love
✔️Closed Door
✔️Dual POV

Right from the beginning I was pulled in. I am a sucker for an unrequited love story and this one just has so many feels. I just felt for Emily. Who I really loved from book 1 of this series by the way. But Tim, he’s just SUCH. A. GOOD. GUY. But utterly clueless.

I picked this story up intending to read a few chapters and just got immersed in the story and didn’t want to put it down. This story is a closed door romance, but don’t let that deter you. It has the perfect amount of chemistry and tension to keep you satisfied. That first, fake kiss. Oh my gosh. I felt it. And the after, that hesitation. Written perfectly!!!

The author writes such likeable characters, in a fun small town, while adding in some wise women. And I really enjoyed it. It was sweet, heartfelt and with minimal conflict. A perfect light summer read! I hope Rob’s story is next! Look forward to more!

This was an okay romance—too saccharine for me, but overall delivers on its promises.

I read and loved Forever With You and so I was very excited when book 2 in the series became available. It did not disappoint. Just like Jay and Layna, Emily and Tim totally stole my heart. I'm a sucker for a friends to lovers romance, especially when one of the characters has been pining for a REALLY long time like in this case. I would love to visit the town of Sapphire Springs, meet some of the quirky residents, and partake in all the yummy food and drink! I'm looking forward to book 3 in the series which I assume you will focus on Rob!

Thank you Netgalley and Forever for the ARC to read and review.

Only for You by Barb Curtis is the second in a series. Ms Curtis is a new to me author.

Emily makes a New Years resolution to give up on having a relationship with Tim, her longtime friend. He’s sworn off relationships after his reality tv star girlfriend dumped him on camera. He decides to begin a fake relationship with Emily to ward off his new fame.

I just really didn’t like Tim which caused me to stop reading when the fake relationship idea comes up. I hate stupid clueless men. But, read it for yourself.. Not my favourite trope.

Barb Curtis has done it again with her second novel in the Sapphire Springs series. Sapphire Springs is a beautiful lake side mountain town with picturesque views and fun festivals. Its a great place to travel to and a place that the locals love. A sweet small town that has all the charm of a Hallmark movie in the best of ways, including all of the people.

Emily is a sweet hometown baker who has had a crush on her now male BFF since she was 16 (and has been friend-zoned that long as well). She is known for her amazing sweets, her love of coffee and her great jokes. She is also the best friend any guy or gal could ask for- kind, well liked, fun to be around, trustworthy, and so on. And apparently when paired with Tim they make for the best committee chairs for their towns local festivals.

Tim is a local guy, back from his time in the Navy, who has opened a successful boat business. He is recently single, after a very public breakup. The "on national TV kind of breakup." He is also the guy who will help out the local business owners, his friends and frankly anyone who needs it. He also serves on the town council with his new best friend Emily. He finds that he really enjoys spending time with her amid his public breakup fiasco as she just lets him be himself.

The two team up together to fix a problem Tim is having and end up fighting. Do they end up making up? Do they end up together? Are they eternal BFFs? Its worth reading Only for you to find out. . .

Emily and Tim have been friends since high school and she has had a crush on him the entire time. Tim's last girlfriend broke up with him in a very public way and he has sworn off dating. Emily has sworn off spending any more time with Tim and circumstances keep getting in the way of her New Year's resolution. This is a sweet, heartfelt story about love, friendship, and family.

I received a copy of this book to review from Forever through NetGalley.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Emily's ne year resolution is to find the man of her dreams, that is not her good friend Tim. She has had a crush on Tim for years. Tim has sworn off woman and wants a pretend relationship with Emily. I enjoyed the many characters in this book.

After years of being in love with one her best friends, Emily decides it's time to take some time and distance herself from Tim for a bit so she can move on. As soon as she makes this resolution, Tim is put into the spotlight, now being mobbed by women he has no interest in, he asks Emily to be his fake girlfriend. She realizes that there's something that she needs something from him, and he needs this from her, they decide to give it a go and maybe Tim will find out what he's been missing out on all this time.

I really loved the first book in the series and was really excited to pick this one up!
The backstories of these characters was really well developed. We know a little about them from the previous book but we definitely get to know them on a better level, and to see what made them who they are. We even get some quick glimpses of Leyna, Rob, and Jay. I enjoyed the reality TV spin in the book and kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. I loved that Emily was a baker and that her and Tim fell in love with each other while being themselves. Tim may have almost missed his chance with Emily, but he is extremely likable and a genuinely good guy. Tim and Emily's baking scene was super cute, and all the maple things sound delicious! I love an unrequited love story and a good mix tape!

Thank you Forever Publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this story!

This is book two in this series. If you like sweet clean sappy romance books then add this to your list. It takes place in a likable sounding place, somewhere you would want to visit.
The story was good if not a little draggy in spots. Maybe they both were thinking too much.
I enjoyed the story. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the early copy

Barb Curtis is the ultimate small town romance author.

If you love small town, closed door romances with some amazing characters and story, Barb Curtis is the author for you! I'm so lucky to have read her first book and knowing that Tim and Em's story would be next, I was over the moon excited! It had fake dating, friends to lovers, and lots of maple syrup. Way too sweet for words.

This book will make your heart burst with cuteness, give you cavities because of it's sweetness, and make you believe in happily ever afters.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Pub for the earc in return for an honest review.

Only For You by Barb Curtis is a wonderful, sweet, and entertaining contemporary romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This is the second book in the equally enjoyable series: Sapphire Springs. I loved the first book, Forever With You, so I knew I had to visit again. This is a continuation of a series, however can easily be read as a stand alone.

I really loved Emily Holland and Tim Fraser. They were both excellent main characters that were likable, down to earth, and had great chemistry. Both had their own complicated pasts, but through one another, were able to open up, and work through issues, leaving the reader with an optimistic and sunny outlook.

I loved the faux relationship/arrangement turning to friendship and then true romance plot line. It was written flawlessly, and I really loved the smooth and natural progression.

This is an excellent series and I cannot wait to read more from this series.

5/5 stars
