“So I will hold on to you as long as I can. I’ll hold on to you as long as you’ll let me.”

The Buchanan sisters are back to continue their story in Jupiter Inn. But when their mother won’t let go of a decades-long feud with their Aunt Sassy to attend the inn’s grand re-opening, the sisters decide a family reunion is long overdue. Following the sisters and their stories of love, loss, and starting over, we are brought back with this family to see how strong their bond really is.

OK, we know I love a series and this one is so cute! I said with the first book, but where is Jupiter Springs and please take me there! I love the bond that these sisters have and their stories in this one did not disappoint. They are all so different but they find a way to come together and be there for each other. You will definitely find yourself rooting for them and feeling like you are right alongside them at their inn.

I was so glad Richardson chose to continue the story of Magnolia, Dahlia, and Rose. There is a lot jammed into the book. New relationships in places you wouldn’t necessarily expect. Hopes dashes only to be rekindled once again. Fear of the unknown that has to be faced. Will all,the sisters, including Sassy and Lillian ever find their forever partners or will they just have to make good with sister time? You will want to read the book. I promise you won’t be disappointed. A hunky doctor, a skilled handyman, a geologist, and a photographer. Who will end up with whom? I hope these teasers are whetting your appetite to read this great summer read. The setting is inspiring, the plots are detailed, and the cover begs to be delved into. Make sure not to pass this one up.

Book #2 in the Juniper Springs series. After inheriting the Juniper Inn from their aunt, the Buchanan sisters have plans to renovate the Inn and put together a nice grand re-opening. In order to do this, Rose needs help from the hardware store owner who remembers Rose from childhood, who Rose doesn't remember. Dahlia is trying to rebuild her life after a divorce. Sassy, the girls aunt, wants to be reunited with her estranged sister. Will Rose get the repairs done in time for the celebration? Will she be able to reunite her aunt and her mother?

This series was a fun follow-up to Home for the Holidays. This book makes me feel warm and fuzzy. The book + the characters are sweet and wholesome. I could not get enough!

The Summer Sisters by Sara Richardson continues the story of the Buchanan sisters, their mother and their Aunt Sassy. One of the sisters, Magnolia loves in Florida with her husband Eric and their newborn son, the baby they thought they would never have. They are visiting Juniper Springs, Colorado where Aunt Sassy and sisters, Rose and Dahlia live. The reason for their visit is a surprise 70th. birthday party for Aunt Sassy and a celebration of the re-opening of their inn. I liked how Rose, Dahlia, their mother and Aunt Sassy all find love in this story. There are bumps in the road for all of these women but reading along as they each found their HEA was heartwarming. I really like Ms. Richardson's voice and I look forward to her next book.

I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

Loved Home for the Holidays and loved this second book in the series. The Buchanan sisters are so real and their relationships so admirable., unlike their Mother and their aunt who have not spoken in years. Love the romance that many of the women find. Could be a bit unbelievable but was still wonderful to read and believe.in! Hope there will be more books in this series.

Book Review
The Summer Sisters by Sara Richardson

This book is in a related series about Juniper Springs- a small town that relies on tourism and a tight knit community. I have not read the first in the series however this book totally works as a standalone.

This second instalment focuses on Sassy and her granddaughters Rose and Dahlia.
I loved the different perspectives on love and relationships from women at different stages in their lives. Rose is single , never married. Dahlia is a single parent with children, recently divorced and recently relocated. Sassy is essentially a widow who is looking to be everything to everyone but still interested in companionship and love of her own. Each of them handles the problems that inevitably arise in the dating scene in a different way that offers the reader insight into their character and past experiences ( eg dating history and old flames). Add in some family drama, meddling townies, a few medical mishaps and you find yourself fully immersed in Juniper Springs. Needless to say I would visit Grumpys cafe in a heartbeat, and I would totally want to be waylayed by Sassy and her brood at the resort. Perfect for fans of Virgin River and The Tourist Attraction.

I was so happy to step into the world of the Buchanan family again. Having read "Home for the Holidays" previously it was a joy to see their story continue. The sweet small-town setting and family dynamic allows the readers to be transported to another time and season; while the family dynamic between Sally and Lilllain keeps us grounded. I enjoyed having this story continue to see how Rose, Dahlia, and Mags have stepped into new roles.

This book is so sweet, even the cover is sweet! I love romance novels, more than any genre, even though I do read plenty of genres, but romance novels are my favorite, and this book has brought me to tears one too many times, that is how sweet this book is.

So pretty much this book is about three sisters and their aunt, and what is so amazing, it’s a relationship that these sisters have with their aunt, they love her as if she was their mother, but this is the thing Aunt Sassy and Lilian (her sister), are not talking and haven’t for years.

Even though a lot of family drama was able to be resolved I loved how the book didn’t just focus on only one character, we got to see everyone falling in love, Rose finally opens up about her feelings, she’s pretty funny I loved her in this book, Dahlia was able to rekindle her romance from the last book (I won’t spoil it) but that was fun for me to read, and even Sassy got in on the love train! It was just such a sweet book.

So sad to finish it so fast!! *tears*

First, thank you to the publisher and author for providing me with a digital ARC of this title via Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

I previously came across this author when I was given a digital copy of her Christmas themed first book in this series, Home for the Holidays. I enjoyed it and was looking forward to reading book two to follow up with the sisters and the mountain resort they had inherited from their aunt. I think I liked the first book better, but found this second title to be enjoyable. Both titles are like Hallmark movies- predictable, but sweet.

I loved the first book in this series and this one did not disappoint. It continues the story of 3 sisters and their aunt. It can definitely also be read as a stand alone. The three sisters and their aunt each have their own struggles then their overbearing mother comes to town. i loved how it ll worked out in the end and look forward to reading the next book.

This story is a continuation from the previous books and we have Rose, Dahlia and their aunt Sassy at the forefront of this novel trying to figure out the what next phase of their lives!

With restorations happening around the inn the family had their hands full and some surprises are in store for not just the family but the townsfolk as well!

I loved getting reunited with the family and I hope there is more to come because I love these sisters so much! I’m excited for ALL of them to get their HEA!

The Summer Sisters is a sweet read about sisters and family. The family resort is now owned by the sisters Rose, Dahlia, Magnolia and Colt after being gifted to them by Aunt Sassy. Rose is helping to renovate the inn. The author describes a beautiful setting in the mountains of Colorado. This is a enjoyable book. Thanks to author Sara Richardson, publisher Forever (Grand Central Publishing), and NetGalley for providing a copy of this book for a honest review.

What a sweet, uplifting summer read! This was a great follow up to Home for the Holidays that can also be read as a standalone novel. I loved the addition of Sassy's point of view this time. You get three romances in one book, each from a different age and stage in life. I enjoyed this charming read!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for access to this arc.

I am so excited to be back in the world of Aunt Sassy and her fabulous nieces! While this story focuses mainly on Rose and Dahlia, it was great to be back in the mountains, enveloped by the love and drama that make the Juniper Inn.

Rose is working on managing the cabin reconstruction while Sassy and Colt are gone, and she had her hands full. Dahlia is also learning her new normal; figuring out the world of single parenting and settling into to a new house. Not to mention causally sliding back into the arms of the town doctor.

Will the renovations be done before the first guests arrive? Will the girls both find their happy ending? Or, will a sudden medical diagnosis change all their plans?

Sassy and the girls will hope to make it through this season of their lives they only way they know how-by being together.

I really wanted to like this book, however a glut of characters and an increasingly difficult story line made it a challenge to complete.

The Summer Sisters by S. Richardson, published by Forever, is book two in the Juniper Springs Series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone.
Welcome back to Juniper Springs where the sisters Rose, Dahlia and Magnolia together with Cole are renovating their aunts resort. The aunt herself is a character to put it mildly. She loves deeply and gets her own december romance, yay - I loved it.
The Summer Sistzers is a beautiful book with three storylines that fit right nicely. A beautifully written and beautifully thought out story I fell in insta-love with. A great read, 5 stars.
