I loved Sadie and Chase and Highland Falls. Mason has created a community that you want to visit over and over. Good thing her books landed on my keeper shelf so I can visit whenever I want.

A fun novella in the Highland Falls series. It nicely wraps up previous couples and gives us a delightful HEA.

Having read the previous books in this series by one of my favorite authors I wasn't about to pass this one up. I enjoyed the continuation over from the other books in this series with the characters. You feel as though you know them a little better this way, their personalities and what to expect.
I loved the characters, setting and descriptions. This is an automatic read author for me.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

Apologies for the late response on this title, and apologies for clogging up an inbox on old titles.

While I am aware it's obvious, I have chosen not to read/review this title.

As always, I appreciate access to titles and look forward to the next one...which I have likely already read based on how long ago this title was published.

Thanks, again.

This is the third book in the Highland Falls series. It’s safe to say the series just keeps getting better and better. The author just has a way with her writing. Her books make me want to be where she’s writing about. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but I recommend reading it as part of the series.

Falling in Love on Willow Creek is the third book in the Highland Falls series written by author Debbie Mason. I must say up front – Ms. Mason does not disappoint – and she is a favorite Canadian author of mine! When I am in the mood for romance – she is who I turn to. I have been following this series from book one, but a reader does not have to start from the beginning of the series to appreciate this charming third book.

I love Highland Falls! Each book so far in the series has been engaging, packed with lots of romance and Falling in Love on Willow Creek is no exception. The tale begins with Sadie Gray driving to the city from her latest visit with her grandmother Agnes MacLeod in Highland Falls, when the inclement weather continued to get worse (snow coming down harder and harder). Did I mention that Sadie was pregnant with a ginormous baby bump? Now to me that just spells trouble…and it did. When Sadie decides to turn around and go back to Highland Falls she realizes that her baby is coming NOW, whether she likes it or not. Luckily for her, help presents itself by way of Chase Roberts and Nathan Black (both undercover law enforcement agents – FBI and NCSBI agents respectively). After the baby is born, she is named Michaela after Chase (sort of as Chase is undercover as “Michael Knight” – a park ranger). So on to the crux of why law enforcement is in Highland Falls…they are looking for Sadie’s brother, Elijah, in an ongoing case regarding Brodie (one of their own who was killed in the line of duty). Enough recap for the moment – now on to some thoughts on the story telling and characters ☺

I found the storyline was filled with some interesting twists with respect to Elijah and his tie in to the death of agent Brodie. Both Chase and Nathan had a huge investment in determining the truth with respect to the death of their fellow agent. And let me tell you – I was pleasantly surprised that I did NOT guess who was involved and how. So not only is my romance book filled with gushy, heart stopping romance but it also had some very engaging mystery elements, which kept me engaged and guessing throughout.

I love how the townspeople of Highland Falls stick with one another and help each other out when one of their own is in trouble. Makes you really want to live in Highland Falls (okay – that may just be me…). I particularly loved the description of Agnes MacLeod (Sadie’s aunt and owner of the store ‘I Believe in Unicorns’) – especially with the recent (January 2022) passing of Betty White:

“People made the mistake of thinking Agnes MacLeod, the adorable Betty White look-alike with a soft Scottish burr, was a pushover. Sadie knew better.”

And let me say that the slow burn with respect to the main love story between Sadie and Chase/Michael – very enticing and got this romantic at heart right where it matters – in the heart. And to add to the mix that it seemed Sadie’s baby Michaela liked Chase more than Sadie – or at least was easily settled by Chase whereas Sadie had great difficulties with that. Chase just had a more natural way with the baby.

The town matchmakers had me laughing multiple times. Those ladies will not stop for anything or anybody until they have made the match! And their antics are interesting to say the least. It is comforting, this sense of community.

The whole series is a delight and I am quite enjoying getting to know the residents of Highland Falls. I cannot wait to read the next books in the series -> A Wedding on Honeysuckle Ridge (book 3.5) and The Inn on Mirror Lake (book 4). And I for one hope this series becomes a movie or two!

Falling in Love on Willow Creek is the third title in the Highland Falls series and delivers an intense story with more mystery and comfort than romance. I’ve enjoyed this series, but this time Chase and Sadie’s romance felt sidelined far behind the search for Sadie’s brother and other issues happening in the area, for me at least. That doesn’t take away from the enjoyment of this story in the least, I was charmed by the lovefest between Sadie’s newborn daughter and Chase, as Michaela seems to favor Chase over everyone else around which was adorable. I simply didn’t feel the romantic intensity that I expected.

It’s always a joy to return to this fictional town where everyone not only knows your name but your business as well. We’ll run into some familiar faces, and also meet some new ones. Since Chase was working undercover searching for Sadie’s brother, who is an informant gone missing, I was waiting for that particular shoe to drop for the moment that Sadie realizes that the man she trusts and is falling for has let her believe in a necessary lie. Trust is such a fragile thing, easily destroyed.

Falling in Love on Willow Creek is a good story, full of unanswered questions, a beginning love, and a town full of unique residents. The writing flows easily, the plot complex enough to keep my attention focused on what’s coming next, and adds a bit more to the Highland Falls series. I had a good time back in this world once more, and if you love a good romance with interesting characters and unusual issues to be dealt with then this story would be a perfect match for you.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

I cannot get enough of small town romance and this does not disappoint.
.
Sadie will do anything for her family including helping her brother. As she returns to her small town to find him before the cops do she unexpectedly finds herself in labor, on the top of a mountain.
.
She is so thankful for the help for he park ranger that helped deliver her daughter. Her and Chase form a bond but little does she know he’s an undercover FBI agent, searching for her Brother.
.
Misconceptions and miscalculations try to overshadow true feelings of love, but look at this stunning cover. You know there is a happy ending in this small town and I am here for it.

Thank you @readforverpub for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Falling In Love on Willow Creek
By Debbie Mason

A romance about a single mom-to-be’s surprise delivery and the undercover FBI agents who rescues her and wins her heart in the small town of Highland Falls.

A good novel. It has romance, comedy, criminals, corruption in this story.. it is a fast read. FBI Agent is torn between catching a murder suspect and falling in love. I recommend this book.

Thanks to Net Galley for sending me an advanced reader’s copy for my review.

This book is a wonderful mix of romance and mystery/suspense. It's Book 3 in the Highland Falls series by @authordebmason

Chase is a by the book FBI agent. Sadie, while not normally a rule breaker, is willing to bend the rules in order to protect her family, no matter what wrongs they’ve done. The chemistry between them draws them together.
Sadies friends and family rally around as they work together to learn to trust each other and their feelings. Granny MacLeod is such a character!! 😂

I really can't wait to read the rest of the series!

I adore Debbie Mason's Highland Falls series. Her characters are quirky and zany. This book follows Sadie and Chase (and Sadie's baby, Michaela). It is full of action, rumors, secrets, and drama. It was a very entertaining read- especially the kleptomaniac dog, Finn. The overall themes of this book are family, love, romance, and friendship. I would definitely recommend for a light-hearted, entertaining vacation read.

The additional novella at the end of Falling in Love on Willow Creek that is called, A Wedding on Honeysuckle Ridge, is also entertaining and full of laugh-out-loud scenes. I just really adore the characters of this series. This novella wraps up Sadie and Chase's love story, as well as those of other characters from past books in the Highland Falls series. This story was a nice extra at the end of the main novel.

Hopefully there will be more in this series.

I find Debbie Mason’s writing to be so appealing and right up my alley. Falling In Love On Willow Creek, third in the Highland Falls series, spoke to me on a very personal level. After reading this book I have also made the decision that I need to go back and read the first in the series. Afterall, I started with the second book, Christmas On Reindeer Road which I also LOVED.

Sadie Gray is about to be a single mom — by choice. You see, the father of her child is a trash bag. She is driving on Valentine’s Day when she gets caught on an icy road and goes into labor. As it turns out, FBI agent Chase Roberts is on that same mountain road. He is undercover as a park ranger, hoping to bring down a covert drug operation. Chase ends up delivering Sadie’s baby. From there, sparks fly between Sadie and Chase. However, it turns out that Chase is investigating Sadie’s brother but Sadie has no idea. When she finds out, it is going to go down.

Falling In Love On Willow Creek spoke to me so much more than I had expected it to. While I am not a single mom, at the time of reading, I had a newborn just like Sadie. Similar to Sadie, my newborn also barely slept and didn’t nap. Her character just really resonated with me — even though her family life is a mess. Ultimately, I found myself cheering for everything to work out for her and Chase. Oh, and did I mention my new baby’s name? Chase!

So yes, reading Falling In Love On Willow Creek felt so serendipitous. It helps that Debbie Mason is a wonderful writer with a knack for humor and unique side characters. At parts, this book is suspenseful what with the whole crime subplot. I loved this book and it is my favorite from Debbie Mason thus far.

I can always count on Debbie Mason for a great small-town romance.

I love the instant connection between Sadie & Chase and reading as they tried to work through the many obstacles that stood in their way. I'm not always a fan of books where the heroine is pregnant, recently had a baby, by another guy, even though they aren't in the picture, but this was one of my favorite aspects of this story.

This book also included the novella, A Wedding on Honeysuckle Ridge, which read very much like an epilogue to Sadie and Chases story. It was the perfect way to give us a little bit more of Sadie and Chase and their happy ever after.

Sadie Gray returns home to highland Falls to find her brother who is wanted by the law. Sadies is single, pregnant and the father of her baby is a loser, she unexpectedly has her baby on the side of the road aided by a park ranger. Chase is an undercover FBI agent going by the name of Michael. His job is to find her brother without using his identity. He can’t help being attracted to Sadie and her daughter after helping with the birth. Sadie has no idea of his true identity and the fact that the FBI is in on the case. As they develop a relationship that could be a disaster if Sadie helps her brother who she thinks is innocent and Chase is there to take him in. Good plot but kind of drawn out!

Thanks to Debbie Mason and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the book!
