FALLING IN LOVE ON WILLOW CREEK is a wonderful addition to the Highland Falls series. In this story, we meet Sadie and Chase. Their story is full of suspense and laughter. We catch up with Abby, Hunter, Gabe and Mallory and everyone in Highland Falls. Throw in a new baby girl, a funny golden retriever and of course, Teddy, and how could it be anything but a fun summer read! There is also a bonus novella, A WEDDING IN HONEYSUCKLE RIDGE, that is the icing on the cake! I really enjoyed this visit to Highland Falls and know you will too! A big thank you to FOREVER publishing and Netgalley for the advanced copy.
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever publishing for allowing me to read an digital ARC copy of this book
This was my first Debbie Mason book and I didn't realize that it was the 3rd book in a series because I never request or read a book that is in the midst of a series...I like to read from the first book. But I'm so glad that I did read it! I loved it! It was easy to like the characters especially Sadie, Chase and Nate. Sadie did seem a little needy almost clingy....but the chemistry between her and Chase was great!
Sadie has so many challenges with her family and then having a husband that was a jerk...no wonder she goes into labour....and two male strangers step in to give her a hand on the side of the road...who are her knights in shining armour? You will have to read the book to find out.
Heart warming, mysterious, and romance all rolled into one. Highland Falls is a small town and everyone knows everyones business...I grew up in a small town and that is exactly what happens.
Big city boy meets small town girl....they have a few things to work through and it's not easy...will they work through their differences or end up parting ways? You have to read the book to find out.
I don't like to give things away during reviews but what I will say is that Debbie Mason has a way of writing that it flows nicely and keeps your attention....at least it did mine! I will have to find her other 2 books in this series to catch up but trust me you don't have to read them to read this one...it's more or less a stand alone...
Highly recommend! Wish I could have given it more than a 5 star rating because it deserves it!
And the novella at the end was amazing! It was so good to see everything come together. I laughed and cried reading both stories! Well worth reading!
Debbie Mason writes really great small town romance and I was excited to return to Highland Falls.
Sadie is a single mother with a three month old and she has just returned to her home town of Highland Falls. While juggling taking care of her daughter and helping her Grandma's store she becomes embroiled in mystery and danger caused by her brother's actions.
Chase is an undercover FBI agent and actually helped Sadie the night she gave birth. He is a by the book guy, but what happens when he realizes he's falling for the sister of a suspect in the crimes he's investigating?
I picked this up without reading the blurb because I love the series. There was more suspense and action than I expected, but it fit in well with the story and moved the plot forward. Some of my favorite moments were the domestic ones that they shared while living at Sadie's cabin. It was so sweet seeing them fall for each other in these quiet times they shared.
This could be read as a standalone, but I definitely recommend reading the whole series to get the full scope of the town and characters!
Sadie is pregnant, ready to have a baby, but before that happens. she has to find her brother, before he gets in trouble.
Chase is an FBI agent, not happy with his latest assignment.. But it looks like he gets more than he bargain for.
Great story. Enjoyed a lot.
After reading an advance copy of this book a couple months ago, I had planned to skim it once again over the weekend before writing a review. I hadn't even reached the end of the first chapter before these characters pulled me right back into their story and I ended up re-reading the entire book for a second time. Every single word. Mason's balance of romance, suspense, hilarious comedy, and heartfelt emotion kept me eagerly turning pages from beginning to end. Her descriptions of Highland Falls brought the small mountain to life and have pretty much convinced me that if I hop into my car and drive a couple hours west I'll be right there with my favorite Highland Falls residents in all their nosy, supportive, sometimes quirky, and frequently hilarious small-town glory. I've fallen for them all, enjoy catching up with them in each book, and eagerly welcome all new arrivals to town.
Sadie and Chase a/k/a Michael have secured their place as one of my favorite Mason couples. I fell hard for Michael in the first chapter, almost as hard as he fell for Sadie and her newborn daughter. My heart melted over his special bond with the baby and his determination to keep both Sadie and her daughter safe, even if he had to bend a few of his sacred rules to do so. My heart ached for Sadie as she struggled to find her footing as a single mom with a colicky baby while dealing with her scumbag ex, trying to keep her grandmother out of bankruptcy, trying to track down her on-the-run younger brother, staying one step ahead of the bad guys, and falling for the man who is lying to her about who he really is. That's a lot to handle, but handle it she does. I really enjoyed the evolution of her character, the inner strength she discovered, the support she found through her female friendships, and, how she handled her relationship with Michael after his true purpose for being in Highland Falls was revealed.
As with the first two books in the series, the supporting cast is vast, vividly depicted, and integral to the lead couple's story. I absolutely adored Finn, the kleptomaniac pooch who forms an immediate bond with Sadie's daughter and I can't wait to find out what Mason has in store for potential new couples in future books. Falling in Love on Willow Creek can be read as a standalone but because key characters and past events from the first two books are prominently featured in book three I suggest reading the books in order beginning with Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge, followed by Christmas on Reindeer Road, and then Falling in Love on Willow Creek.
But the story doesn't end there! There's a bonus novella, A Wedding On Honeysuckle Ridge, included at the end of Falling in Love on Willow Creek that is an absolute delight. There are reluctant brides, over-zealous groomzillas, matchmaking grandmothers, trouble-making grandfathers, adorable babies, a six-year-old romance advisor, and last, but definitely not least, a sweetly sentimental but hilariously inept marriage proposal that still has me laughing.
I enthusiastically recommend adding Falling in Love on Willow Creek to your summer reading list.

This novel will stir some exciting new perceptions about modern romance. With changing times, the definition of love also seems to be transforming. This novel explores the realistic ways that people feel about romance and about how it is in the real world.
This is the third book in the Highland Falls series, and IMHO, the best. I loved Sadie. She is a strong, resourceful woman who is faced with a lot of challenges. She meets Chase as she is about to give birth. Little does she know the man she is falling in love with is the guy investigating her brother. I loved how both lead characters were so vulnerable. Chase in introduced as a by the books hard-ass, and yet does not know what to do with animals. He ends up being a very tender man. Both lead characters show a lot of growth.
The secondary characters (who we have met in previous books) are woven wonderfully into the story. There is suspense, humor, and fun times to be had reading this book. The characters are great. And the setting of Highland Falls is like a character of itself. Totally enjoyed reading this book, and I hope there are more in this series.
Received as an ARC from Netgalley. Thank you to Netgalley and Grand Central.
#PubDay!!
Highland Falls is one of my favorite towns. I fell in love last year with all its Christmas glory, and here I am again, falling in love while the flowers bloom.
I loved Falling in Love on Willow Creek because it had a bit of mystery! First, who TF helped deliver Sadie’s baby on the side of the road? (We get that a few minutes later so not massive mystery). Where the heck is Elijah? Also, who TF murdered the sheriff deputy?! So many questions that need solving! I think I adored this because it did keep my interest, but didn’t make me lose sight of the romance.
Small towns should be written this way. Even though they may gossip and know all their business, they still stand up and protect their own. From Michaela to Agnes to our lovable retriever pup (a very good dog indeed) I just got all the love and feels. Heartwarming yet comical, it’s what Debbie Mason does best.
Thank you so much Forever for the gifted copy! Falling in Love on Willow Creek is out today!
Another fantastic book from Debbie Mason! Debbie pulls you right into her stories so you feel like you are right there in the story with all the characters. I've even caught myself trying to give them advice! This book is superbly written with very well developed characters and is part of a series. Sit down in your cozy chair and visit Highland Falls for a little while.
I received an ebook ARC from Netgalley and this is my voluntary, honest review.
I love this story of Sadie and Chase and the good folks of Highland Falls, NC. The story line was great and I felt like I was right there with them in all the happenings that were taking place. I loved all the characters and the interactions they had with each other. There was a bonus story included and you will enjoy it as much as the main story. I have yet to be disappointed with a Debbie Mason book. I received this book from NetGalley, but my opinion is my own.
Falling in Love on Willow Creek by Debbie Mason brings us back to Highland Falls for a fun, romantic story with some mystery and suspense! Sadie is a soon-to-be single mother who is looking for her brother wanted by the law. Unfortunately, this presents a moral dilemma not knowing if her bother is innocent or guilty. Chase is an undercover FBI agent working as a park ranger. He happens to be at the right place at the right time when Sadie goes into labor in her car on the mountain. The chemistry between them develops but will it last once she knows Chase is really looking to arrest her brother? And can Chase fall for a woman who may know more about her brother's illegal activities than she lets on? Will they learn to trust each other or will this tear them apart. This is an excellent book that was hard to put down; a definite must read!
How nice to be back in Highland Falls with all it's charming citizens! I loved this story and was excited to get to see Sadie find love. It was a bit dramatic with everything going on with her brother, but fortunately the humor and romance cut through some of that tension and made it a very enjoyable read. There were definitely a few great laugh out loud moments. Like when Chase met Finn 😄. I love Finn and his antics LOL. Another great book by Debbie Mason.
This is the latest Debbie Mason book which is set in Highland Falls. It’s a sweet story with interesting characters. Sadie reluctantly moves back to highland Falls while she is expecting a baby in order to hopefully find her brother before the law catches him. Sadie is grateful to park ranger Chase who helps her when she goes into labor on the mountain. Sadie and Chase find themselves drawn to each other but she doesn’t know he is an undercover FBI agent. It becomes a cute love story in which the obstacles come indirectly from her brothers actions. Sadie and Chase have a great development of their story. It’s a sweet romance.
Debbie Mason is one of those authors that I feel write just for me. Now I know that's not true but I'm still going to believe that. It's my story and I'm sticking with it. Even when her characters make me want to yell at them I'm still loving them. It's a real talent to have.
I really enjoyed Falling in Love on Willow Creek. Both Sadie and Chase are such great characters. The wall he helps her and just melts for her baby daughter is just so great. I spent a lot of my time while reading the book both laughing feeling for poor Sadie who felt her daughter hated her. As a parent, we all know the feeling. What really cracked me up is how everyone else in town felt she was a demon child too. What that is all but Chase. For him for the most part she was a happy baby.
I think that these two trusted each other deep inside and you see it in everything thing they did for each other. They are both good people and you want the best for them.
I understood why Sadie wanted to both protect and kill her own brother for what he was doing. You can see how torn she was. She didn't want to keep things for Chase but also wanted to take care of her family. I loved how Chase felt he had to do his job but couldn't or wouldn't do it with helping her and her family too.
I can say that this one has been one of my favorite books in the series. I would say that that's saying a lot but unfortunately, I say that for every book she writes. I also do feel they are my favorites until the new one comes out that is.
Another winner by Debbie Mason!
This book follows Sadie, a very pregnant woman who is on the verge of a breakup from the baby's father, Drew. If being pregnant isn't enough, Sadie is also trying to save her grandmother's business and clear her brother Elijiah's name.
Driving home one night from her grandmother's store, Sadie goes into labor. When she pulls off the side of the road, she gets stuck, and a man comes to her rescue. He introduces himself as Michael Knight, and he proceeds to deliver the baby, with help from his partner. We later find out that both of them are law enforcement trying to track down Elijiah, who is suspected of killing Nate's former partner, Brodie.
This is a fast moving, sweet romance with a little heat, but nothing above PG. I enjoyed reading it and look forward to the next book in the series.
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.
Thank you NetGalley, Debbie Mason and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the ARC of Falling in Love on Willow Creek. This is my personal review.
Love finds you when you least expect it and this book is just the right one to make you feel like you know everyone in the story.
Chase and Sadie meet in the most unexpected way. The romance is perfect in the story. But along with the romance there some mystery and a town full of people who want to see a happy couple but also want the mystery to be solved.
The story is so well written I could feel myself wanting to be in this town and meet the people who live there.
This book warmed my heart on so many levels! Though the way they met was very unconventional, I truly enjoyed the way that these two worked through their differences and came together as a couple. I continue to love and adore this Highland Falls series, and I can't get enough of it! I will take all the books that Debbie Mason wants to write in this town.
The plot that brought Chase to town, and had him interacting with Sadie was compelling enough to keep my interest, but didn't take away from the romance for me. I really enjoyed my time, and can't wait to read more!
I really have enjoyed this series and this book did not disappoint. Is this predictable yes to a point but on some things the author keeps you guessing to the very end which for me made me not want to stop reading just so I can see what is going to happen next. I did not like Nate at first, but he grows on you and keeps you questioning his motives for sure. Chase was one of the good guys but he also can come off as unlikeable which made it for me the right balance, it keeping me interested in what he was going to do next. I loved Sadie, she was the person that seem to keep the family together and while she did not like her brother because of his choices in the book she does everything she can to help him do what is right. If you are looking for a fun read that doesn't disappoint then this book is for you. I liked that the author kept the book clean to a point and makes it complete enjoyable to read.
Cosy, amusing, and mysterious!
Falling in Love on Willow Creek is an alluring, heartwarming tale that takes us back to Highland Falls and into the life of the stressed, soon-to-be mom Sadie Gray as she juggles moving home, the early arrival of her baby girl, a good-for-nothing ex, a brother who seems to be hiding from the law, and an undeniable attraction to the handsome, helpful stranger, Michael Knight, AKA FBI Agent Chase Roberts who seems to be in town for more than just a new job.
The writing is fluid and light. The characters are intriguing, endearing, and kind. And the plot, including all the subplots, intertwine and unravel seamlessly into an entertaining tale of family, friendship, sizzling chemistry, dangerous endeavours, secrets, deduction, spirited mishaps, and swoon-worthy romance.
Overall, Falling in Love on Willow Creek is another enchanting, tender, charming read by Mason that has all the romance, adventure, and comical hijinks I adore about her stories, along with the added bonus of a novella at the end that was a true delight for my happy-ever-after loving heart.
Falling in love has never been so much fun.
Although this is the third installment in Debbie Mason's Highland Falls series, you do not need to read the previous two in order to enjoy this delightful love story.
FBI agent Chase Roberts a.k.a. Park Ranger first meets Sadie Gray on a dark road while undercover looking for an informant. She goes into labor, delivers her daughter, and Chase becomes smitten with Sadie and the new baby since family is what he has been looking for to call his own. Of course Sadie isn't planning on sticking around once she finds her brother who has been in trouble since she can remember. She is hoping to once and for all get him out of trouble and be on her way to starting her new life as a single mom. Life has other plans for these two and the bond they create lets love blossom in Highland Falls.
Debbie Mason has a talent for drawing you into the story with a small town feel. She makes you love the characters all the while feeling their plight. Creating a family of people you wish you belonged too. I highly recommend this delightful love story to anyone who wants to enjoy a town with lovely people and be swept away to this special place of Highland Falls.
