I am loving this Highland Falls series and book #3 was so much fun to read. You have single mom to be Sadie Gray going into labor on the side of the road on a slick night and Chase Roberts who becomes her knight in shining amour when he and another special agent Nate come to her rescue. Chase and Nate are with the FBI and the CIA to find and apprehend Sadie’s brother Elijah, except they are both going by assumed names and working undercover. And little did Sadie and Chase know that bringing a baby into the world was going to change both of their lives forever. Chase alias Michael Knight did not know that the minute he held this new life in his arms that he would do anything to protect both mother and baby.

This book was a lot of romance, mystery and a town that has a group of matchmakers that give you some laugh out loud moments, as well as lots of happy tears and moments when you want to cheer as the bad guys get their due. I loved all the characters that Debbie Mason has created in this series. From Sadie’s grandmother, who owns I Believe in Unicorns and has ‘the sight’, to Zia Marie who owns the Italian restaurant and the town gossip Babs, who is lightning on her phone and the gossip made around the town before the Tea is spilled. But the person who is going to steal our heart is sweet baby Michaela, who takes down big strong sexy Chase Roberts and wraps his heart with her little fingers. When you open a Debbie Mason book, you know that you are going to get a wonderful and delightfully romantic story and you will want to move into Highlands Falls and become part of the wonderful small town in the mountains of North Carolina.

Thank you to Debbie Mason and her publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review one my fav authors books. (less)

I'm generally a fan of Debbie Mason and I really enjoyed her other two Highland Falls novels. So when I learned of Mason's Willow Creek novel, I had to read it.

Unfortunately, I struggled reading it. I just couldn't connect with the characters -- especially Sadie. To me, she was just a dependent and needy woman. Add in a sniveling infant to the mix and it turned out to be a recipe for disaster.

The plot involving undercover operations and romance just didn't click for me, so I just gave up trying to plow through till the end.

I really felt that Mason just wanted to spit out another novel. So, the execution of Falling in Love on Willow Creek wasn't her best effort. One disappointing star.

I received a digital ARC from Forever through NetGalley. The review herein is completely my own and contains my honest thoughts and opinions.

A pleasant addition to the Highland Falls series. FBI Agent Chase Roberts goes undercover as a park ranger in Highland Falls. Sadie Gray is pregnant and helping her grandmother at her “I Believe in Unicorns” store while looking for her brother, Elijah who once again is in trouble with the law. When she is stuck on a mountain road and about to give birth, she meets Chase and Agent Nathan Black who is also working an undercover assignment. Chase is only in Highland Falls until he can be reassigned to D.C. and he is not interested in small town life, but could he be? He falls in love with Sadie’s baby girl and maybe with Sadie? Will Chase and Nathan find who murdered a local deputy and why? I enjoyed the humor displayed by Chase as he tries to maintain his undercover persona and adjust to unfamiliar rural issues. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

Falling in Love on Willow Creek by Debbie Mason is the third book in her series Highland Falls. This time we follow the lives of Sadie Gray and Chase Roberts, a brand new single mom and FBI agent undercover. I wanted to love this one, I have loved all of Debbie Mason's books to date, but this one missed the mark with me.

Sadie is a bit of a hot mess when the book opens what with giving birth on the side of the road and all. But after it flashes forward a few months, Sadie is still a hot mess. Newly single, though definitely for the better, and jobless, she is floundering. Her new daughter is colicky, she’s sleep deprived, and at her wits end. I really felt for her. I remember those early days of having a newborn, and they are not easy. I could only imagine doing it alone. But Sadie’s pride gets in the way of her asking for help from her friends who are more than willing to give it.

Then enters Chase Roberts, or Michael Knight as Sadie knows him. Coming to her rescue the night her daughter was born and then mysteriously disappearing just as quickly, Michael was never far from Sadie’s thoughts. However he isn’t who she thinks he is. She believes he’s a park ranger, her “knight” in shining armor. But he’s actually an undercover FBI agent working to find her brother. Chase is extremely smart, but also a bit socially backward. I felt for him. He’s also got a heart of gold, doesn’t like lying, and now thinks he may be falling in love which is definitely against the rules.

The story has multiple plot lines that intersect. First there’s the mystery surrounding Sadie’s brother, her own involvement in the case, and where he might be. Murder may also be afoot 😉 In addition, as if Sadie needs any more on her own plate, her grandmother’s store is going bankrupt. She has to find a way to keep it afloat. The mystery and story itself I really enjoyed. However the romance between Sadie and Chase I had a hard time with. It’s insta-love. There’s very little build up. It felt forced in the beginning instead of natural, like I believe the author intended. I did eventually love them which is why I’m still giving it 4 stars.

Overall, I enjoyed Falling in Love on Willow Creek. I’m interested in seeing a story about Nate next 😉 Nate is Chase’s partner, and while he is quite rough around the edges, I’m hoping to see more of him. If you enjoy light and fluffy romance, I highly recommend this one.

I usually like to read a series in order but started on this one. I'll definitely be going back to read the others soon.
Thoroughly enjoyed this small town romance with a mystery and a bit of suspense. They add so much to a story and I'm there for it.
Loved the connection between Sadie & Chase/Michael a lot. Their 'meet cute' was great! Nate...loved him too. Hope he gets his own story. The other side characters were fantastic as well. Granny? Oh how I loved Granny!
This was my first book by this author and I'm looking forward to reading her other books/series.

Debbie Mason has once again entertained me from beginning to end with her continued story of life in Highland Falls. There’s never a dull moment in any of the local households, and soon-to-be mom Sadie is right in the middle of a murder investigation as her baby is delivered by the undercover agents who are working the case! FBI agent Chase is totally hooked on Sadie from the moment her baby is born. The unique twists and turns of this love story, including the well intentioned meddling by her eccentric grandmother, had me pulling for everyone to make it through the story in one piece. This is a fun read.

Loved this book. Debbie Mason is awesome, love reading her books. This one had just the right blend of romance and suspense. Can't ask for more.
Sadie is overstressed, tired, and a new single mom to a little girl. Chase (AKA Michael) came into her life literally at the right moment, while she was giving birth alone in the woods with a dead phone. Unfortunately, he is an undercover FBI agent looking for her brother. How far will she go to protect her brother, and how long can he keep his true identity a secret? Lots of nice twists and surprises. Love the characters, specially Granny and the dog.
Enjoyed the story, looking forward to another book by this author.

This is the third book in the Highland Falls series, wich is one of my recent favorite series. You don't need to have read the other books to enjoy this one, but it might help you connect with the characters and the town a bit more. The book starts out with a pregnant Sadie delivering her baby at the side of the road, aided by an undercover FBI agent, who disappears after she arrives at the hospital. Shortly thereafter, her loser boyfriend also leaves the picture.

Sadie moves back to Highland Falls and is attempting to take on life as a single mother, but it is definitely harder than she bargained for. In addition, her brother is still on the run from a drug deal gone bad, a man is found murdered near her cabin, and her Grandmother's business is in shambles because her grandmother has been giving money to Safie's brother. Things are heating up with the discovery of the murdered man, so 2 agents are brought in undercover to try to locate Elijah, Sadie's brother.

This book is a romance, add will keep you guessing with the mystery and action within the book. I would definitely recommend anyone who loves small town romances (in a very quirky town) to pick this one up!

Falling in Love in Willow Creek was part romance, part mystery/suspense and it did both right. It managed to incorporate laughs and magic, danger and intrigue and lots of heart. I love the townspeople of Highland Creek and I definitely want to read more from them.

Chase is a by the book FBI agent working on an undercover operation in the small town surrounding Sadie, her brother Elijah and grandmother. He partners with Jake who is a little rough around the edges but is willing to risk it all to find out what happened to his missing friend.

Eve is 9 months pregnant and helping her grandmother in her Unicorn Shop. When she goes into labor on the side of the road it is the two officers that end up delivering her baby but use aliases. Chase is so taken with Sadie and immediately falls in love with her baby girl. Sadie can’t stop thinking about the kind wonderful man who helped bring her baby in the world.

Now if only they can rule Sadie out as a suspect and find the killer while keeping their mission quiet and not making Sadie hate them in the meantime.

This town is full of quirky loveable side characters and it’s hard not to want to be there.

This book was very cute and a nice easy read. Thank you to NetGalley for my eArc copy.

What would you do if you were about to give birth in your wrecked car and the only help you had was two men you'd never met before? If you're Sadie, you fall in love with one of them. But wait...there's so much more to this story. The two men are actually undercover FBI types who are hunting for someone near and dear to Sadie's heart and some missing drugs.
Chase falls in love with Sadie and her infant daughter almost immediately. It gets really complicated when Sadie finds out what Chase is really doing. She can't stand him. Or maybe that's all a ruse. He is certainly handy to have around to quiet her colicky baby. The baby loves him...and maybe Sadie does too.
This book had a lot going for it. There was mystery and suspense, good guys and bad guys, family, meddling old ladies, well meaning friends, sibling devotion, an extremely loud and cranky baby and a hunky guy to soothe her, a smoldering fire between Sadie and Chase and an HEA that made me really happy! Debbie Mason wrote an incredible story!
I was gifted a copy of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts are my own.

Sadie and Chase meet when he delivers her baby girl after an accident- and then he disappears, only to come back to Highland Falls as Michael, a park ranger. He's got a secret; Michael and Chase are one and the same and he's really an FBI agent investigating the murder of a deputy sheriff. Sadie, who came home to help her grandmother and to find her younger brother, feels an attraction but doesn't know, at first, that he's hoping Sadie will lead him to answers. It's a sweet story even if the relationship starts out with a lie (not a good thing). You'll find yourself rooting for Sadie who deserves happiness. Thanks to netgalley for the ARC. Oh- and there's a fun novella too!

I loved reading this book! It has everything that makes for a great read. Sadie and Chase's story will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. You have beautiful scenery, wonderful characters, a sweet baby and a dog. What more could you ask for. This book is the perfect escape read and the bonus novella was wonderful also. If you've never read a book by Debbie Mason grab this book and you will be hooked. Thank you Forever (Grand Central Publishing) via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. Falling in Love on Willow Creek will take you on an adventure that will far exceed your expectations. It has a bit of so many things, love, caring, family, friends, mystery, dishonesty, backing yourself into a corner and figuring out a way to get out of the mess, and a baby that melts the heart of a stranger. It will keep you reading to the end and when you get to the end of the book, there is a surprise that kept me reading until 3 this morning, but it was so worth it. The story took me on an adventure and showed me what life can do.

Thank you to Net Galley for the advanced copy of this book. I love Debbie Mason's series. I loved Sadie and Chase's story. It was intriguing, funny and a happy every after all rolled up into one. I enjoyed that two people who are pretty opposite in character end up falling in love. I really enjoyed Chase's escapades as a park ranger. I laughed so many times reading this book. It was exactly the type of story I was looking for during this endless pandemic! If you are looking for an easy fun summer read, this is the book for you. I also loved the fact that the novella A Wedding on Honeysuckle Ridge was included. It really did a great job of wrapping up lots of things in Highland Falls. Two reads in one, it was great!!!!

I really enjoyed this new release by Debbie Mason. It had romance, intrigue, mystery and suspense. And some funny and endearing moments. I loved the characters, and the plot kept me turning the pages. The novel left me with the need to read more about these wonderful characters, and Ms. Mason heard. At the end of Falling In Love On Willow Creek, Ms. Mason added a novella that continues the story and adds a great ending, A Wedding On Honeysuckle Ridge. I hope there will be more stories coming in this series. I received an advanced reader's copy from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I really love the way Debbie Mason writes! The stories are interesting and remind me of a soap opera. I love how the other characters (from past books) show up in the other books. This book had a bonus story, which wraps up this story and the first two stories very well. I hope the series continues, but this is a satisfying ending.
