This third installment in the Highland Falls series is as great as the previous two books. This book is about Sadie and Chase, a cute little baby, and a kleptomaniac dog. Abby and Hunter & Mallory and Gabe also appear throughout the book. The main subplot involves trying to find Sadie's brother Elijah who is hiding from the law. Chase is an undercover FBI agent who is fighting his attraction to Sadie after helping to deliver her baby. You will want to read the book to find out how it all works out.
I received a copy of this book to review from Forever through NetGalley and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I have been a fan of Debbie Mason's since the first time I picked up one of her books and I have read almost all of them. Each time I read a new book I say it's my favorite. Well, this one is now my favorite. Each book just gets better than the last if that's even possible. I love that they are sweet, clean love stories with suspense and mystery as an added bonus. This was a nail-biter as I couldn't see how Sadie could help her brother and keep from being arrested at the same time. Considering Chase was a by-the-book FBI agent, I expected her arrest each time I turned the page. I loved that Nate and Chase, strong, masculine agents also had a soft side. Throw in an adorable baby and you have the perfect story. This book also contains an additional novella -also great. It wraps up Chase and Sadie's story as well as giving additional insight into the town of Highland Falls. Perfect!
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever Publishing for this advanced review copy. In return, I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
You'll laugh and cry and love Falling in Love on Willow Creek. The characters will feel like family and friends. The whole town pulls you in. One of the best summer reads.
I received an advance copy of, Falling in Love on Willow Creek, by Debbie Mason, This is a nice book, about, lies, secrets, family, friendship, and love.
Falling in Love on Willow Creek by Debbie Mason is the third book in her Highland Falls series, and is a fun, quick, romantic book, but with some mystery and intrigue too!
At nine months pregnant, Sadie Grey is more interested in finding her younger brother, who’s hiding from the law, than worrying about her deadbeat ex-boyfriend. She returns to the idyllic town of Highland Falls, where her grandmother runs a store selling everything unicorn, to help her as they both try to find her brother.
When Sadie’s car slips on the road, and she simultaneously goes into labor, she’s relieved when a mysterious man named Michael, and his friend show up to help her give birth to her daughter. The man and his friend, disappear after the birth, but Sadie can’t forget his caring eyes and his instant love for her new baby.
Three months later, Michael (real name Chase) shows up in Highland Falls as a Park Ranger. Chase Roberts is an FBI agent, going undercover as a Park Ranger who is intent on finding out who murdered a county deputy sheriff, and he’s convinced Sadie’s brother is the key to finding the murderer. He must gain Sadies trust in order to find her brother, who holds the key to the deputy sheriff’s murder.
Falling in Love on Willow Creek is a delightful, intriguing, and sweet story set in an idyllic small town in North Carolina. It’s heartwarming and romantic, at the same time it’s intriguing and thrilling.
Debbie Mason is a talented writer and she paints the pictures clearly with her descriptions of Highland Falls and the townspeople. Her writing makes me want to move there and live in this small town with all the quirky characters and beautiful settings. (and a funny Golden Retriever, Finn). As this is the third book in a series, it’s still stand-alone, however, it makes me want to go back and read the first two books.
There is also a bonus novella included that I also enjoyed as it is an expanded epilogue for all the characters in the first three books of the Highland Falls series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Book club pick in my opinion. Delightful, easy read with a mix of romance, reminiscing, thrills and intrigue. With a bit for all to enjoy this one gets my full endorsement as a must-have beach read.
I received this book for an honest review from netgalley #netgalley
This is a new to me author and the cover pulled me in and I'm so glad. What a sweet book! Complex yet fun
I enjoyed this book. It was an easy read, with a bonus ending
It gave us a chance to see where the characters ended up. It was heart5felt and moving. I am grateful that netgalley let me read this in exchange for an honest review
I fell in love with the quirky town of Highland Falls in the first book of this series, and this book was just as lovely as the ones that came before it. Sadie is a single mother who finds herself in trouble because of her family. Chase is a straight laced FBI agent investigating her family. These two characters are so different and they shouldn’t work together, yet they do. I enjoyed watching them navigate all the issues her family, and his job put between them. This was such an enjoyable book. I can’t wait for the next book in this series! I received an ARC from netgalley, and this is my honest review.
So good! This book is a wonderful mix of romance and mystery/suspense. Chase is a totally by the book FBI agent. Sadie, while not normally a rule breaker, is willing to bend the rules in order to protect her family, no matter what wrongs they’ve done. The chemistry between them draws them together - will their different agendas tear them apart? Friends and family rally around as they work together to learn to trust each other and their feelings. An adorable baby girl and a golden retriever who’s also a kleptomaniac help keep them on their toes. This is an entertaining and captivating addition to the Highland Falls series, although it can easily be read as a stand alone.
Bonus: an included bonus novella continues the story and brings us a delightful wedding and all the turmoil and chaos leading up to it. It’s not to be missed!
