I really enjoyed this manga a lot! Katakoi Lamp is a cute, light and fun romance story between a cafe owner and his regular customer. What started as a misunderstanding lead to a new, sweet love. I liked that this story did not have unnecessary big dramas but enough angst to keep you reading. My favorite part was definitely seeing the two protagonists start falling for each other. Moreover, the art style is freaking adorable that it added more cuteness to the story.

4/5 stars!

A very sweet tale of two men who meet at a cafe. I really enjoyed the way coming into queerness was handled in the story; it isn’t criticized or anything, and is simply something the character’s figure out. Even the drama and jealousy that in part of almost every romance is handled well, and miscommunications are talked about. It is a slow-burn but so, so cute! This one-shot is guaranteed to make your heart melt.

CW: sexual themes, sex scene

Okay this was cute.

Kazuto runs a coffee shop, and a cute guy comes in who stares at him all the time. He finds himself getting a bit of a crush on the guy, Jun, who it turns out does NOT like him but the girl who works for him. Kazuto decides to help Jun "get" her, and in turn things happen like most yaois. There's misunderstandings, cute hugs, sexy times, and just it's fun. It's not anything groundbreaking but you'll have a good time I promise.

This was so cute with beautiful drawings. I'll totally recommend it to BL fans. Moreover, it was a stand-alone, so while I wouldn't have minded another couple of chapters to better solve a couple of situations left there, it was good that it wasn't dragged-I wouldn't be against a second volume, though.
It just left me a bit perplexed the rating. I thought I was reading a funny and nice "comedy of errors" suitable for anyone (green rating, at most yellow), also given how naive the protagonists seemed to act sometimes (they were fun, no doubt, but still they did not seem grown up adults), but then it went from 0 to 100 and became crimson red. It was a bit unsettling, still I liked this and I'll recommend it.

Katakoi Lamp was a cute tale of two guys finding love after meeting in a cafe. This is very much a slow-burn story, but I liked the gradual development of their relationship, which felt realistic and allowed for a little angst along the way. The illustration was also good, so all up this was a fun and quick read that will please fans of the sweeter end of the BL story spectrum.

I thought this was such a cute manga and I loved Jun and Kazuto's relationship. There was so much blushing and the amount of fangirling Kazuto did for Jun was so flipping adorable! I thought Kazuto's situation with his friend was a bit cruel because he would still talk about the "thing" with his friend, even after knowing his feelings. (Read the manga for the details lol). I thought the story was a little fast paced so I'm not sure if this is going to be a series or standalone. Also there's some sexual content with lots of sound effects that were a bit a tad bit too much so just keep that in mind when you're reading. Overall this was a super cute manga though! 3.5/5

What happens when the guy you think has a crush on you actually has a crush on your coworker? So begins this adorable and sweet romcom between Kazuto Muronoi, a cafe owner and his regular customer Jun. The romance was adorable I loved them falling for each other! The artwork is so pretty and who doesn’t enjoy a cute cafe romance!

Katakoi Lamp is a short, light and quick romantic single-volume manga, and despite thinking it could’ve been longer to develop better some points, it’s nice enough to give a 4 stars rating (3.5 but rounded up), as I really enjoyed it.

This manga is about Kazuto Muronoi, a baker who works at his family’s café, and his crush on a regular costumer, Jun Narumi. There’s not a lot to the plot besides the focus on crushes, between both main characters and the other two characters involved with them: Kyosuke, Kazuto’s model best friend, and Hisahara, one of Kazuto’s co-workers.

Kazuto Muronoi thinks Jun Narumi has a crush on him because he’s always there watching him work, but when he finally gets up to talking to him and asking him out, Jun confesses he’s interested in Hisahara instead. So like any normal dude with a crush on a cute boy would do, Kazuto decides to help Jun out to get a relationship with Hisahara! What could possibly go wrong?

It’s not very original, and it’s super predictable, but I think the manga is quite fun, especially when you just need something nice, with the lightest angst possible, no big dramas, to read in a single hour. The art is adorable too, fitting the whole first love vibes the story has.

Katakoi Lamp is a very sweet little manga about the awkwardness of having a crush and beginning to date someone. It’s a very gentle slice-of-life story, and not very much happens outside of the central relationship, but that makes it perfect to escape into. If it didn’t have the sexual content, it would be lovely for younger teens as the awkwardness of first love is very cute, but I think it is a bit too frank with its discussion and on-page depiction of sex to be suitable for anyone other than older readers. I thought this created quite a dissonance in the feeling of the book overall - too immature in its discussion of feelings to be truly adult, but too adult to be teen-friendly. Still, I enjoyed the sweetness!
