This is the first book in the MacArthur family series. Kathryn Irish ended her relationship with Daniel MacArthur. Two months later she ends up doing a security job at Daniel's company. When they reconnect they can't seem to stay away from each other. But someone wants to break them up. This is a second chance romance and I loved every minute of it. Katie Reus writes romantic suspense so well. I can't wait to read the next book.
A big thank you to NetGalley and KR Press for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book, and all opinions are my own. This is the beginning of a new fun series. Its a little bit of romance, and suspense and a 2nd chance romance. This is the story of Kathryn and Daniel. Ok it is a cute, quick read. Maybe just a tad silly, but every now and then you need a little silly. 4 stars Truly enjoyed it.
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy through Netgalley of Falling For Irish . This story is well written the characters are wonderful . I truly enjoyed reading this story . It's full of romance , suspense and intrigue . Kathryn Irish was heartbroken when she found out Daniel MacArthur thought she was dating him for his money . Kathryn runs into Daniel and he realizes he wants another chance because she's the only one for him . They soon find Kathryn in danger . They must find out who and why is behind it . This story is fabulous . I highly recommend taking the time to read .
They say, things are better the second time around. Falling for Irish is a delightful, second chance story about Daniel MacArthur and Kathryn Irish. This upbeat and tender story immediately grabbed me and the engaging characters are realistic, easy to like and share a lot of chemistry.
Daniel and Kathryn dated for three wonderful months before breaking up. The breakup was hard for both of them and when they unexpectedly meet again, Daniel is determined to win Kathryn back. Daniel, a rich business mogul, loves Kathryn with all his heart and when he sees her again, he knows this is his only chance to have her back in his life again. I loved how Daniel never gives up.
Kathryn works as a computer hacker. She is hired by companies to help them with their security issues. She is down to earth and loves her job. She is surprised to see Daniel again; she cares about him, but is afraid of getting hurt. I liked these two together and wanted things to work out for them, so they could both be happy again. I thoroughly enjoyed this suspenseful and romantic novella.
I really enjoyed Kathryn's story. It was intriguing and quite entertaining. Good writing with a happy ending
Falling for Irish is the novella that kicks off the new MacArthur Family and it started it off with a bang. It was a second-chance, suspenseful romance that kept me on the edge of my chair. It was fast-paced, easy to read, and had me hooked at the beginning. The characters were developed even with it being such a short book. It was a wonderful book, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
I received an ARC and am willingly leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
"Falling For Irish" is the first book in Katie Reus's new series. A novella introducing the MacArthur Family, this is Kathryn Irish and Daniel MacArthur's story. After a surprise breakup between Daniel and Katherine, initiated by Katherine, she is called to one of Daniel's buildings to check the security risk. Still needing answers for their breakup, Daniel vows not to walk away this time. For one of them the danger is coming, and it seems to be lurking in the shadows. A romantic suspense read, and their second chance at a HEA, when it is a Katie Reus story, it is a must read for me. **I was gifted "Falling For Irish" and leave my review based on my reading.** 5 Stars!
I love Katie Reus’ novella series! Kathryn and Daniel’s story was a great one. Short, of course, but full of wonderfulness! Kathryn had a cool job, and Daniel was rich without being pompous. I love the suspense elements, and Daniel’s siblings are intriguing. Can’t wait for more from the MacArthur clan!
Falling for Irish is the first book in a romantic suspense trilogy from Katie Reus. It’s a second chance romance after Daniel and Kathryn split up due to misunderstandings caused by the machinations of someone lurking in the background thereby providing the suspense part of the story. I loved the hero and heroine & also the supporting cast of characters – mainly assorted family members. I liked the story and the promise the plot implied but I would have loved it if, instead of being novella length, it was extended a couple of hundred pages and the plot fleshed out to ramp up the suspense. I just feel that there really wasn’t the element of danger or risk surrounding Kathryn to qualify this as romantic suspense as most of it seemed to happen ‘off page’ so to speak and when the ‘stalker’ was exposed it all just seemed a bit anti-climactic. Almost like we’re coming to the end so lets wrap this up. I suppose in the end I enjoyed this story so much I just wanted more.
This is book 1 in the MacArthur series and introduces us to Daniel MacArthur and Kathryn Irish. Kathryn and Daniel were dating when she found out he thought she was only with him for his money and broke things off. When she is contracted for a job and runs into him, they call a truce. Even though she knows that she can't just be friend's with a man that she still loves. Daniel knew he had made a mistake in letting Kathryn walk away. But when she is targeted, he won't be walking away this time. And he will not only keep her safe but find out why she left to begin with.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Daniel and Kathryn have this off the wall chemistry right from the start! But beyond that, I really liked Kathryn's snarky attitude and how smart she really is. Daniel is also smart and successful if a little dense when it comes to the people around him. The suspense kept me wanting to know more and I definitely loved the side characters! My only drawback? The lack of communication in the beginning by two people that claim to care about each other. That bothered me but I can also understand it to a point. Otherwise, I loved everything else about it!
Nothing can get your attention like the one who got away getting married! Daniel and Kathryn run into each other, and are shocked to realize they still care for each other. Sweet story with these two finally reconnecting. I can’t wait for the rest of the family to get their stories!
A short novella length story packed with action, suspense and romance. Second chances don't always come around, especially so quickly. But will Kathryn's reasons for leaving Daniel have changed? A possessive male who knows what and who he wants with a protective instinct that cares about emotions, Daniel's heart is fully engaged. Will he be able to convince the love of his life that she is the only one for him?
I really enjoyed Falling for Irish and I'm looking forward to more in this new series of novellas. This is a wonderfully written second chance romance that is perfect for a lazy afternoon read. Kathryn and Daniel are amazing characters that will pull at your heartstrings right from the beginning. We also get little sneak peeks at some of the upcoming characters as well. This is definitely a book I would recommend to everyone.
Romance readers who need or simply prefer a quick romantic tale featuring a determined, rich, good guy, gentleman in public, but oh, so verra naughty behind closed doors hero who gets reunited unexpectedly with the love of his life will likely fall head over heels for this short, 104 page novella. Daniel, the deliciously polite yet alpha possessive, jealous manly man, doesn't hesitate a single second diving right back into the dating pool with Kathryn, after their two month long tortuous separation.
Kathryn could and should have approached an off screen, previous certain situation differently, folks, at least IMHO. But things are what they were. Lucky for these two destined to be together lovebirds and us, fate seems just as determined as Daniel not to give up on this second chance couple.
In just 104 pages, Ms. Reus seamlessly gives us their past, present, and future assumed HEA. That is after more than one perilous situation and devious scenario is taken care of. For me, this read was a blink of an eye, but I simply can't wait to see what she has in store for us next in future books of this series.

Falling for Irish is the first book in an all-new novella series from Katie Reus, the MacArthur Family series. It’s a stand-alone contemporary romantic suspense.
As a long-time fan of Katie Reus’ writing, I tend to devour every new book like it might be my last meal. And I feel like I end up saying the same things over and over about each book. But all of it is true. I actually prefer her novels (not just hers but novels in general), but as far as novellas go, this one was just what I needed when I didn’t have several hours to devote to a longer book.
Since it’s a novella, you’d think there wasn’t a lot of time to get to know the hero and heroine, but I found myself falling for them both and rooting for them to make it work. Falling for Irish is fast-paced, suspenseful, and steamy…with a HEA, of course. Now, I’m a romantic suspense junkie, so I had the bad guy pegged pretty early. That’s always just a bit of a letdown. Regardless, it was still an entertaining read, which is pretty valid for any book you choose to read by this author.
NICUnurse’s Rating: I give Falling for Irish by Katie Reus 4 out of 5 stars!
This cute novella from one of my favorite authors, Katie Reus, is the start of a new series, and one I am going to really enjoy. This was a second chance romance with a bit of suspense. Daniel and Kathryn were well fleshed out and for a short novella, the writing was well written and plausible. Will enjoy reading more of this series. I received this arc from Netgalley and all thoughts and reviews are mine. I will also be buying this book.
This is going to be a great series! I love Daniel & Kathryn’s story. I am not much for novella’s but this one is fantastic. It moves at the right pace & you don’t feel like you have missed half the story. You get a great mix of romance, suspense & plot, complete with a great cast of characters. I cannot wait for the rest of the series!
Reus brings heat and heart in this sensual second chance story. Computer security expert Kathryn broke things off with Daniel when she thought he though she was after his money.
Daniel had no idea whey she broke things off. He'd been thinking she was going to be his wife. When he sees her again in his office building, he's determined not to waste this second chance with her.
They begin dating again, and then both of them are victims of seemingly random attacks. Who is after them and why?
Daniel and Kathryn have terrific chemistry and the suspense element pushes them back together quickly, making the pace of this novella work for a sexy, run read.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this title from one of my favorite romantic suspense authors.
**also posted a similar review on Amazon 2.23, still in review.
Sexy and suspenseful! This fast paced read packs a punch. Kathryn and Daniel are a whirlwind. The romance is steamy and sweet. There's a great cast of characters. There's just the right amount of tension. A great escape novella. I can't wait for more MacArthur's.
This author never fails me. From her supernatural to her suspense. Kathryn has taken a contract to infiltrate the security on a building testing its security. When going on she runs into her ex Daniel. Hot hot hot Daniel. Can she learn to trust again? Read the book!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
