3.5*

I really enjoyed this one.
It’s a novella and the introduction to a new short series of 3 books. Each featuring one of the MacArthur siblings. Consequently there’s a lot going on here.
On top of introducing all the main players there’s attacks on Kathryn. But I’m getting ahead of myself.
Daniel is rich, handsome and successful. Kathryn is beautiful and independent. They were both happy together until she discovered he thought she was after his money. So she walked away.
But like him she’s unable to move on. Then she finds herself back in his life and he’s not letting her go at least not without a fight this time.but it’s not all smooth sailing Kathryn’s had two recent seemingly random attacks on her and Daniel is concerned.

So like I said I enjoyed this one but...
There’s a lot going on here, maybe too much for the length of the novella. I know I moan if books are stretched out. But I wanted more here. Still I’m looking forward to the next one.

From the first chapter I didn't want to put this one down. The heroine, Kathryn Irish was clever and interesting. Not a wilting female, she is a competent programmer who is good enough to make a living freelance. The relationship the hero, Daniel MacArthur, is intriguing and at first he seemed too good to be true. And then he really is that good. Great family, appreciates her for her brilliance and he respects her boundaries.
Have to admit I read all Katie Reus books and I received this one early (before it released on amazon) on netgallery. That aside, I loved the story and would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants a good romance you can cuddle up with on the couch and have an adventure during a quiet evening at home. A satisfying romantic encounter with a little suspense thrown in to make it more interesting.

Very cute novella from an author I frequently 1-click. I wanted a bit more resistance on the second chance part, but since it was all misunderstanding based, I felt it was acceptable. The shortness of the initial relationship plus the shorter ‘break’ took away some of the seriousness of their relationship. I look forward to seeing the siblings’ stories.

This is a great second chance novella. Daniel and Kathryn are such a sexy couple. There’s suspense and mystery. It’s a very quick read. I devoured it in a few hours. I enjoyed the humor that was also in the book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

This was a fun, suspenseful quick read. I love the dynamics between Daniel and Kathryn. They broke up due to a misunderstanding and they are attempting to get back to a better place.
I love the protective reverence that Daniel has for Kathryn. Even though the novel isn't long Katie managed to make the main and supporting deep and meaningful. I'm pumped to read the other books in this series

Once again Katie shares a great story with us full of suspense, action, and a delightfully happy ending. I can't wait for the next one in this series!

What a CUTE novella! I don't know why I went in with low expectations but GOSH DANG! I was literally buzzing with excitement after the first page because I LOVE how it started.

Our heroine was pretty dang cool. Why?
1) Her name is Kathryn. ...My name is Catherine. You can't NOT be cool with that name.
2) She's a HACKER! She really goes undercover to hack into security systems. Like a freakin bo$$

The suspense part was "eh" because. . . come on, we all knew who it was from the very beginning. HOWEVER, it was light and cute and such a fun read so who cares.

I'm so excited for the next books in this short series because, while reading, you know exactly who will star in the next one . . . YAY

Falling for Irish is going to be published on February 23rd, 2021 so make sure you snatch a copy!

Thanks to the publisher & Netgalley for the complimentary ARC. All opinions provided are my own.

I have so many Katie Reus books on my Kindle because they have so much of what I love: the heroes are utterly devoted to the heroines, there’s quality steam, & the engaging storylines have plenty of thrills. Unfortunately, I just didn’t warm to this novella.

In Falling for Irish Kathryn appears at her ex Daniel’s work building so she can pretend to be a potential client of a wedding planner working out of his building. In actuality, she plans on hacking into his network to assess its security, a contract job she was hired to do unbeknownst to Daniel.

He just sees her with a ring on her finger, months after she dumped him for no apparent reason, & he’s doubly upset—though in a stoic way ;).

So he wants to convince her to give them another shot. Part of her wants that too, although she's also still angry about the reason why she broke things off.

There’s also the matter of recent attacks against her.

There’s so much happening in this novella and the plot often feels rushed. I don't understand why some plot points are even necessary.

In the end I enjoy Daniel’s clear strong feelings for Kathryn, her STEM job & confidence, & the heat, but unfortunately this novella just doesn't feel tight enough to me.

2.5 ⭐️. Falling for Irish is out on 02/23.

As always, when I see a Katie Reus cover on Netgalley, I become the get-me-that-arc-now kind of person. As soon as the arc is granted, I just drop about every other book I was reading to start on hers. This time, it is a short novella about a new series: the MacArthur Family Series, starring Daniel the hot shot multimillionaire, who had a relationship with Kathryn, until she walked out on him after a few months. As a multimillionaire it is always difficult to know whether a woman likes you for who you are of for what you have. But with Kathryn, he though he had something genuine. Apparently not.
When Kathryn took on a new project, she hadn't realized it would be for the company that Daniel owns. Figuring the chance of coming eye to eye with the guy who broke her heart is slim, she accepts the job. But of course, they bump into each other. And when he invites her for a business dinner to talk about her assignment, she agrees.
But when Kathryn is harrassed and attacked multiple times, both can help but wonder who is behind those attacks? Is it because of Kathryn's job? Or does her reconnection to Daniel have something to do with it? Suspense, sparks flying and a twist of events, you don't see coming. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

With some novellas, you are left wanting more. In this first novella in a new series by Katie Reus, the reader is left satisfied. She creates a complete love story with elements of suspense. I liked getting some of the couple's back story while seeing how their relationship progresses.

This is the first book in the MacArthur Family series. Kathryn and Daniel dated for a few months but after a misunderstanding she broke off the relationship. When on a job in one of Daniel's companies, they run back into each other.
This time Daniel isn't letting her go and they decide to give the relationship a second chance and things go smoothly until weird things start to happen.
This was a nice fast paced story with some suspense and romance. The only negative was that this was short, but I'm already looking forward to Brodie's book.

A big thank you to the author and Netgalley for this ARC.

This sucked me in from the first page! Kathryn is a strong, secure woman who is darn good at her job. Her one and only weakness is in her rear view mirror, or is he? It seems that luck is working against her when she encounters her “could’ve been” while on a job. And it REALLY looks bad when she’s rocking a huge diamond on her finger. It’s only after the chaos settles that Daniel realizes just how evasive Kathryn’s answers were and he sets out to find the truth, then make the woman his again. Forever. Daniel and Kathryn have a second chance, but will the very same thing that ruined their first chance strike again?

I really enjoyed wondering who was behind their misery and why in this quick read. And I definitely need to know what’s up between Kathryn’s brother and Daniel’s sister! I see another great story coming about them and I can’t wait to read it.

Great book!! I just really don't like short stories! So of course I wish thus was longer!! Most of the time I feel like I don't get the whole story and everything is rushed! But this short story did the job! I felt like I got the whole story! This book had suspense, intrigue, action, drama, and definitely had some steam to it! I definitely recommend reading this book! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

A super fun, fast read with great character building, and a good twist of a mystery.

This is my first book by Katie Reus, and I really enjoyed meeting the Irish family. Kathryn is a strong, fun, super smart, and no hold bars kind of woman. I really enjoy strong females, and it's a hit or miss if they will stay that way for the whole book. This one does and it makes it a worth while read. Daniel is a good guy, and I love how he gets presents for the cat.

If you are looking for a great HEA read, this one is for you.

Falling for Irish is an enjoyable, fast-paced novella. That wonderfully introduces Daniel MacArthur and his siblings Sienna and Brodie. And with just the right amount of heat and romance between main characters Daniel and Kathryn, and a sprinkling of suspense this really was an engaging read. And one I would happily recommend to others.

Falling for Irish☘️

Kathryn is still reeling from having broken up with a man she loves after making a discovery about him and now she’s about to breach his security, because thats what he’s hired the company she contracts out to, has been asked to expose❣️However, she doesn’t think she will bump into Daniel but is shocked and surprised when she does😳

A great second chance romance with some nice suspense thrown in to keep you on your toes😍 Loved Kathryn and Daniel and cant wait to read the next books in this series. I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️

Kathryn and Daniel were perfect together. Right until she found a huge file on his desk. A file about her with the word "golddigger" written on it. Offended that he would think she is after his money, Kathryn breaks things off. But a couple months later a job brings them back in each other's lives and this time Daniel is not letting Kathryn go.
For a short read it was such an enjoyable book. It has a perfect balance of romance, character development, suspense and intrigue. Color me impressed.
I adored our main characters. Kathryn had her insecurities, but I mean who doesn't? And Daniel was a delight. He liked her from the very beginning, was not hesitant to pursue her and always made his feelings and intentions obvious. So it truly broke his heart when Kathryn ended things with him. I liked how he never wanted to be casual, to play with her. He was always full-in, and you got to like a confident man.
The side characters were good and now I can't wait to read about Brodie and Sienna.
It would have gotten the full five stars if not for that little thing at the end. I mean, for a smart woman Kathryn fell for something really stupid. So 4.5* it is. A great and quick read, looking forward to the next one.
Thank you to Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

What a sweet quick read. Kathryn and Daniel had dated and then he broke her heart, so when she sees him again he's shocked she's wearing a diamond and she's still weak kneed over him. Knowing all that she still has to complete this job.

Read this book to find out what happens next.

Kathryn dated Daniel for a couple of months. She finds a sticky note calling her a gold digger. She is outraged and breaks it off with Daniel. Now they are brought back together when Kathryn takes a job checking out Daniel’s security. Daniel never understood what went wrong between them but plans to not let her get away. But Kathryn has been targeted twice and Daniel has no intention of letting there be a third.

Short and sexy. This is the first in a new series. Wonderfully written and just enough of suspense to keep you turning the pages.
