An interesting early history and overview of the spying game in the US. It covers the early history prior to being an organised force and then the creation of such organisations. The political aspect is clearly shown.
The author assumes you already have an appreciation of US history with many different events being referenced but not explained.
Personally I found the book a little flat and dry. The writing style didn't suit me but I am sure it would suit many others.
