This book is entertaining, readable, and completely frustrating. The back and forth with Violet and Lincoln is overdone; they've been over this ground so much that, by the third novel in the series, it feels stale and unnecessary. Jessica Shrivington can write the heck out of a scene, but it would be a more entertaining read if the drama didn't feel fake to me. I'll probably continue reading the rest of the series, but if the next book is like this one, I'm not sure how far I'll make it.
