What a great entertaining thrilling book! Loved this one from the first page and especially loved the ending. My first book by Karen Clarke and Amanda Brittany, but definitely won't be my last!

This was a very entertaining read , I settled down with a cuppa and could not put it down . I had my theories and was pleased when they panned out but it by no means spoiled my enjoyment . Sophy is a new mum and really struggling she meets Olivia a nanny at a mother and baby group , but doesn’t realise that she is hell bent on destroying Sophy’s happiness after an incident years ago . There is also Elizabeth her mother in law who seems to keep turning up and taking over and Dom her overworked husband who doesn’t notice how desperate Sophy is becoming . , some great red herrings and a satisfying conclusion . I loved it

“The Perfect Nanny”, a twisty psychological thriller, follows the story of Liv and Sophy, with each chapter alternating between the two character’s POV. This made it interesting and I felt compelled to keep turning the page to get to the next chapter. Whilst it was quite formulaic in places (how many books feature a nanny/maid/home help/best friend/crazy mother-in-law who’s hell bent on revenge or destruction of some sort), the book did keep my interest and was an engaging and quick read. I’d highly recommend this to all fans of thrillers. After all, who doesn’t love a psycho?

Actual rating 3.75, rounded up to 4.

I can't give this book better rating just because I guess pretty quickly what's going on with Sophy.
I've rounded up to 4, because the writing is good and the book is a page turner (I finished it one day).

A terrific read. Believable characters, lots of twists and turns. well written and compulsive reading. No spoilers here, I did have suspicions about certain characters but it didn't defect from the rollercoaster journey. Highly recommended. #gripping

This was a great domestic thriller taking place in a seemingly perfect neighborhood, with dangerous secrets brimming under the surface.

Lin’s seeking revenge for the death of her brother 16 years ago. It’s a decent read I wouldn’t discourage someone from reading it nor encourage it. The pace is quick in parts and takes time in others. It will be well received by many.

Liv is letting revenge consume her entire life; from her job, her relationships, and her every thought. Liv's brother committed suicide when she was young and she blames it on the girl who supposedly broke his heart, Sophy. Liv becomes a nanny and works herself into a social circle aiming to ruin Sophy. Liv becomes Sophy's nanny, let's be honest, she's already struggling to keep it together so Liv is welcomed with open arms. Will Liv follow through with her plan or will she find that everything isn't exactly what it seems?

This was a very entertaining read. It was super suspenseful and kept you on the edge of your seat. I will say some aspects you could predict but they weren't necessarily confirmed until the end. I didn't necessarily enjoy the Epilogue portion, I didn't feel like it added to the story for me personally. All in all I would recommend this read.

Thank you Karen Clarke, Amanda Brittany, HQ Digital, and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC!

I love this type of book and had really high hopes for The Perfect Nanny. It started off strong but there were so many things that didn’t add up and we’re just too ridiculous to believe. It was a frustrating read for me.

Liv wants revenge for her brother’s untimely death. She has spent the last sixteen years searching for Sophy, the girl responsible for breaking her brother’s heart and leading him to die by suicide.
Liv has fenagled her way into the seemingly perfect life of this now-woman who didn’t even have the decency to show up to Liv’s brother’s funeral. As Liv attempts to make Sophy miserable, she realizes that she may not have to try as hard as she thought. Along the way, secrets are unraveled and new stories are told.

This book was written from (mostly) two POVs, with the exception at the very end from a third narrator. This format is always one of my favorites, and I felt as though the best part of this particular narration was that the story was written so cohesively. There were no overlapping timelines or confusing POVs about one event. The story flowed so flawlessly that it was amazingly enjoyable. Each character was so distinctive and unique from one another that it leaves the reader emotionally invested in their outcomes. I love novels where I can root for a character, feel anger towards a character, or question a character’s motives. To me, that is one of the qualities of excellent writing.

I won’t say that I was totally shocked by the events in this book; I loved it nevertheless. It was a one-day read for me! I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves domestic thrillers.

Special thank you to NetGalley, Karen Clarke, Amanda Brittany, and HQ for a digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

I wasn’t sure about this book as it seemed to be quite simplistic in the beginning and sadly I worked out one of the anomalies very early on. But as it progressed the pace grew more and more interesting and the revelations too. The ending was not what I expected or what I had supposedly worked out myself, so that was a brilliant surprise. Poor Sophy having nobody who really cared about her or what she was going through. All were unsympathetic and seemed against her including nanny, Liv, her overbearing mother in law, Dom her husband and one of her spiteful neighbours. I also worked out a whole different scenario with Freya, Martha’s carer.. This book gripped me for the last quarter and it had a very satisfying and unexpected ending. A very enjoyable and refreshing read.

Oh wow, this book was brilliant!! I couldn’t stop reading it and nearly read in one day. As I was reading I kept thinking of all the different characters who could be doing harm to Sophy and in the end I was completely wrong but, also right in other ways. It’s difficult not to reveal the story so I won’t. I really enjoyed this story and now know that these authors have written another one of which I am going to read. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Liv has grown up blaming Sophy for everything that wrong in her life - most notably the death of her brother. After years of turmoil, Liv finally gets her chance for revenge....

I’m up way past my bedtime to say... wow! I loved the twists and turns. At some points I was actually telling the characters what they should do haha, like I yell at the tv during a sports program. The characters were great, the plot was perfect, even the ending left me feeling very satisfied. Very well written.

This is the best book I have read in years! It was full of twists and turns and red herrings. I couldn’t put it down and stayed up hours past my bedtime to finish it! I look forward to many more books by the pair of authors.

Olivia (Liv) Granger is out for revenge against Sophy Pemberton. Liv believes Sophy is responsible for her brothers death 16 years earlier. Liv seeks her out at an elite play group, "Mums Meet Up".

Liv is currently a Nanny to an 18 month old little girl, Evie, in the neighborhood for a couple Clare and Gary. While they become friends, she tells Sophy about how she is unhappy and will be leaving her current nanny position. Sophy is struggling being a new mom, although currently getting help from her mother-in-law, she decides to hire Liv to help care for her 9 month old little boy, Finn.

Things start to go down hill for Sophy after Liv becomes her nanny. The worst is when Finn goes missing. Did Liv take him or was someone else responsible and why?

This was a great book and I was impressed with the author's writing and how the book came to a
dramatic conclusion.

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. I went through most of this book thinking predictable and it was anything but. The secrets that came out at the end. The twists as to who was the bad guy...didn't see any of those coming. While I would say this is just an average thriller throughout, the ending was good.

A truly sinister thriller. Do you know where your children are and with whom? This book is going to keep a lot of parents up at night. Expertly put together and extremely fast paced, it plays on our deepest fears. I highly recommend this book.
