I have been completely hooked and unable to put this one down. This is told from a dual timeline and a real mix of characters.

This has been an addictive novel and I have loved the contrast between the characters. I have found that this has been filled with tension and suspense.

This is a read that is completely unique to anything I’ve read previously. I have found some aspects a little predictable but I have been so captivated it hasn’t stopped me enjoying this read.

I have adored this book, this is a great read. I absolutely hope there is more to come.

Liv has never got over her brother's suicide. Even so many years later she is determined that the person who drove him to in should pay for what they did. Whilst working as a nanny she finally tracks down Sophy. Sophy seems to have it all- loving handsome husband, no money worries & a beautiful baby boy. Why should she have a full happy life when she broke her brother's heart? However things
with Sophy is not as good as they seem. A difficult pregnancy followed by constant exhaustion is making her feel like a zombie & her overbearing mother in law seems determined to take over. She is unaware of who Liv is, but when they meet at a mother & baby group Sophy thinks she might have found a friend & when Liv leaves her current post it is natural for Sophy to suggest she becomes Nanny for them.

This was a good read. I started off disliking Liv. I felt she should have got beyond wanting revenge, (although I know there is no timetable for grief & part of her issues were that she blames herself) but she grew on me. I wanted to drag Sophy to the GP to get something for Post-natal depression! although that might not have solved all her problems. However the pair & their alternating chapters kept the pages turning. Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this book.

A fiendishly clever plot, with twists aplenty. Well written and fast paced, keeps you in the grip of suspense, all the way to a brilliantly unexpected ending.

The characters are engaging, realistic and complex. Each with their own back story, it's impossible to tell villain from hero, in some cases they're one and the same. The interaction between characters is, for the most part, highly believable.

Well worth reading, especially if you like to keep the mystery going all the way to the finish

The Perfect Nanny is my second book by the author duo Karen Clarke and Amanda Brittany and I've also read some of Amanda Brittany's previous independent work, namely Traces of Her.

The story opens with a short prologue that immediately sets the tone of the book and from this point, I was totally engrossed in the story. Told from the perspectives of Liv Granger, a nanny and Sophy Pemberton, a new mother, this book crackles with tension. The cleverly crafted and intriguing plot follows the two.

I adore the combined descriptive styles of Karen Clarke and Amanda Brittany, which I find to be emotive and affecting. The writing flows effortlessly and the narrative is very well structured. The Perfect Nanny is a story that's packed with drama and twists as it spirals its way to the climactic denouement. It's a must-read for fans of the psychological thriller genre. I look forward to reading many more books from this duo. I read The Perfect Nanny with relish and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Overall, an enjoyable and easy to read domestic thriller.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from HQ Digital via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.

Another knock out book from this author, loved this. Creepy thriller which is excellent and exactly what I love from a book.

The Perfect Nanny was the Perfect Escapism from normal life!

The plot involves Sophy, a new mum, befriending Liv, a nanny, who has the misfortune to work for a leacherous boss. When Liv is forced to leave her job, Sophy quickly employs her, as undiagnosed health problems have Sophy struggling to cope with new baby, Finn. For both women this leads to a chain of events that is unexpected, shocking and riveting!

We quickly learn that the meeting of Liv and Sophy is far from coincidental, and that Liv has a sinister motive for engineering the meet. All this is revealed very early on, leading us to predict how the book will pan out…however things really don’t work out as expected as the twists just keep on coming!

This book is an unexpected delight! Characters are likeable and believable and overall this book does exactly what is required - provide some thoroughly decent entertainment!]

My thanks to Net Galley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Perfect Nanny is a really good book. The main story revolves around Sophy and Liv. Sophy is married with a little boy but is struggling to cope. She meets Liv who offers to become their nanny. Liv has a secret that is the reason she offers to help Sophy. I loved this book, read it and you wont be disappointed.

Although well written with fast pacing and quick-flowing prose, I found The Perfect Nanny lacked the suspense it could have had for me because the twists were very obvious from early on. This aside, I think newer readers of psychological thrillers would probably love this book, as it's unhindered by useless information and most of the characters had a pretty strong emotional arc, which gave the story a depth that's lacking in a lot of similar books.
I'm also thankful for the absense of politics (another rare quality in this field), so if that's something you appreciate, give this book a try.

4*

I absolutely loved this book! It was everything I had hoped it would be! This one had been on my TBR since I got approved for it but I was so scared that I would not like it. I would recommend this book to everyone who wants to enjoy a simple yet thrilling read!

This is another book that makes you think about trust. I raced through it and looked forward to sitting down for the next chapter. It definitely wasn’t a book that was uneventful and had so many twist and turns. I loved it!

This was a completely gripping read from start to finish that kept me so confused throughout!

Although I had guessed about the reason behind Sophy's lethargic symptoms, I for sure didn't see a lot of things coming and just when I thought 'right this is it' another twist came along!

I will be recommending this to EVERYONE!

This book was kindly gifted to me by the publisher for my honest review so thank you very much

I dont know if its because i am craving all the thrillers right now but this book was absolutely exactly what i was wanting to read, this book was fantastic and i loved it.

Fast paced, unputdownable, twists galore, bitchy and lots of rides in between made this one hard to put down and hard to not enjoy, i read it one sitting and it I swallowed it whole.
This is the first from this author that I have had the pleasure of reading and it certainly will not be the last, i am literally going to check and see what Karen Clarke has already written and reserve right away at my library

Read this NOW!!!

The Perfect Nanny is a great thriller that's full of twists, and I had a really hard time putting it down. I like that the story was told from two different perspectives, making it easy to empathize with both of the main characters, and I couldn't wait to find out what would happen to them. I'd never read anything by Karen Clarke or Amanda Brittany before The Perfect Nanny, but I'll definitely be checking out more of their work. Thanks to NetGalley and HQ Digital for giving me the opportunity to read this amazing novel. : )

Just so horrifying!
Although the premise is clear from the blurb it doesn't stop you from racing through the pages trying to find a resolution for Sophy and the truth for Liv about Ben. Great characters, buckets of suspense and a fast paced storyline.

This book was amazing!
The story line was so easy to follow and I connected well with the characters.
It was a little dragged out, but I couldn’t quite put it down needing to know what happened next!

I usually do not pick up books written by two authors because ideas and voices usually are not cohesive in storytelling, but this was written well. This story is told in two POVs and has many characters to remember. Liv/Olivia has not grieve of the lost of her brother, Ben. It’s been 15 years and she blames Sophy, Ben’s girlfriend. An opportunity arises and Liv becomes Sophy’s nanny to Finn. Parts of the book drags and is predictable, not really a thriller besides the babies every adult had a secret that was discovered. Thank you to NetGalley, HQ Digital, and the authors for a gifted copy. This is my honest review.

This book grabbed me and didn’t let go! It took off from page one and stayed at a fast and steady pace. I devoured this book and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I had the biggest book hangover after reading it. Poor sophy.. I knew she wasn’t crazy and it was more to it than just feeling worn out from being a new mom. I felt so bad for her. I was on the edge of my seat. This book had me not knowing who to trust. I won’t look at nannies quite the same after this rollercoaster ride. It had everything that you could want in a book. I loved the alternating POV’s and the ending was jaw-dropping! Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for my honest opinion

This book was super easy to read and I found that I whizzed through it, much quicker than normal.
The story is told from the perspective of 2 women - Liv and Sophy. I really enjoyed how the narrative switches between the two of them, it works really well. There is strong characterisation and I found that I connected well and could empathise with both of the main women.

There are a few twists and turns in this book, however, I was able to guess the majority of them. That said, it didn't particularly make it any less enjoyable.

Overall, a nice easy read but with enough depth to keep you guessing.

My thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for sending me an Advance Reader Copy in return for an honest review.
