This story has many twists and turns.
There is Liv, who never got over the death of her brother many years ago and is looking for the person she feels if responsible. After years of searching, she finally tracks down the woman she believes to be responsible and she wants to make her pay.
There is Sophy, a new mom who is struggling with the demands of a new baby. Sophy meets new Nanny at the Mommy group who is looking for a new family to nanny. They seem to be a perfect match……….
Throw in the mix a Mother-in-law who wants to take of the care of Finn, her grandson…….
This book was Fast paced from start to finish! Well written and thought out, although I guessed some minor twists, it was very enjoyable and I was sad it came to an end.
Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy to read and review.
This was such a page turner and super entertaining.
This book had multiple mysteries which I loved because it really kept the story moving at a fast pace. First we have Liv who works as a nanny and is pretty miserable because she is obsessed with getting revenge for her brother who died years before. To get her revenge she comes up with a plan to make her way into the Pemberton home to mess with the mother, Sophy.
Sophy is a new mom who has really been struggling since she gave birth to her son. She is always tired and feels like she is lacking connection with her child. On top of that she’s had to leave her home in London to live closer to her husband’s family. When she meets Liv, she doesn’t hesitate to hire her as their nanny and she finally has someone she can confide in. There is a lot of strange stuff going on in the Pemberton household and Liv isn’t the only suspect.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. I loved the multiple twists that kept me guessing and at times I was actually stressed and on the edge of my seat which I liked!
Definitely recommend this to lovers of quick thrillers!

Talk about a Fascinating psychological thriller
WOW!!!!! If i could give it 100 stars i would. This story blew me away. I absolutely loved this book and stayed up all night just to finish it. It was so good that i messaged my bestie and told her we must read it together. I was gripped from beginning to the end and i cannot wait to read the next book written by both authors. I become a huge fan of these authors and hope to read more books by them soon . They make a great team .This was the first book that i have read by these authors and wow what a roller coaster ride it was !!!!! This book was truly a entertaining read. There were so many twists and turns. I can’t believe that ending. Now that is a perfect way to end a book !!! I hope that there will be another book . The storyline was well done and the ending was a complete surprise. All the characters are well drawn out so I felt as if I knew them and cared about what happened to them. I was very caught up in the characters and their relationships with each other. There were times i wanted to shake Sophy and just scream at her . I felt so sorry for her and just wanted to jump into the book and give her a big hug. It was very obvious she was being drugged. This is a twisty, intriguing psychological thriller that you definitely want to read. There’s a really huge twist at the end of the book that will leave you with your mouth hanging open. Then after that big twist came another. I just want to say Thank you to author, publisher, and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this 5 star story . I truly appreciate it!

A decent domestic thriller. Very readable, although very outlandish. The two protagonists are well developed and complex. A couple of the twists were rather predictable, but some less so and the storyline was engaging enough to keep me interested whether I thought I could predict what was going to happen or not.
So many twists and turns this is a riveting read that I couldn’t put down ....Dom and his wife Sophy seems to have it all wealthy successful and a beautiful new born son Finn but Sophy isn’t coping with motherhood constantly tired and struggling day to day. She meets Liv a Nanny at a mother’s group and they become friends but boy is all as it seems ... Liv offers her services to help care for Finn but she has an ulterior motive . This was a really good book and I will be checking out others by these authors !!
Every mothers nightmare. Fascinating story which was very realistic. How the effects of grief can change peoples behaviour and being able to take advantage of peoples weakness, all everyday occurrences with disastrous consequences. The story kept me involved right o the end. I loved the final twist, some people never learn!.
This book dove straight in, from the very first page I was hooked with Liv’s twisted motives. This was intriguing at the start, and definitely left me wanting to keep reading throughout, with a number of twists and turns in nearly every chapter. However, the more I read, the more I began to feel that we were told too much too soon. Perhaps finding out about Sophy and Ben’s past, leading Liv to want to follow Sophy would have been better as a reveal later into the book. It could have helped to build up the mystery, rather than telling us she wanted revenge and then leaving us for so long to wonder why without anymore reveals.
There was drama in every paragraph and I loved the unreliable narrator theme to it, especially with hints that there was third party involvement into Sophy’s forgetfulness and constant tiredness. Whilst it became more and more apparent that there was something happening with Elizabeth I was happy that there was a further twist as to who had taken the baby and was very satisfied with the ending of the book. Particularly Elizabeth’s epilogue which left me incredibly intrigued and guessing as to what might happen in the future. It was well tied up leaving room for further suspense in the final paragraph which I thoroughly enjoyed.
This book did feel a bit too long, and I found that the middle began to drag with a lot of repetitive scenes that it felt as if I had already read. Particularly with Liv blaming Sophy and trying to meddle in her life, as we had been introduced to this in the first chapter and it wasn’t resolved until the final section of the book. I also found myself getting confused between the two character’s perspectives as I didn’t feel as if they were particularly distinct.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book as it did continue to surprise me throughout, it could just have done with being a bit shorter, with more distinct points of view.
Full of twists and turns, The Perfect Nanny was a quick and easy read. While I did enjoy it in general, I didn’t warm to either of the two main characters and I personally felt that the twists were just a bit too predictable leaving the ending a bit underwhelming.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest review.
This book was fast paced from start to finish! Well written and thought out, although I guessed some minor twists, others were totally unexpected.
I will certainly look out for more work by these two talented authors . Highly recommended
Thank you to Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and enjoy this excellent book.
This was brilliant, a very fast-paced book that captured me from early on. It is full of twists and there are a lot of suspects who turn out to be red herrings but it kept me guessing throughout, needing to read more.
Told in both Liv and Sophy’s POV although I wasn’t keen on Liv to start with, I grew to like both characters in their own ways and really felt for Sophy who seemed to have no real support network when it came to her as a person, all her husband’s mother was interested in was taking over the baby.
I liked how the book ended and felt that it tied up any loose ends or questions the reader may have had.
I would definitely recommend it.
What a thrill ride! Just when you think you have it all figured out, another twist comes along. Very quick read, couldn’t put it down! I will definitely be recommending to friends and family!
A heart pounding story of coming to harm at the hands of those you should be able to trust. Plenty of
plot twists, misdirection and no loose ends makes this a thoroughly satisfying novel.
This is a great story with so many twists - some I guessed and others that were totally unexpected.
Thankyou to Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and enjoy this excellent book. I will certainly look out for more work by these two talented authors . Highly recommended
one of the best thrillers i have ever read, i could not put this down.
i got absolutely absorbed into the characters, the offshoot storylines, and the descriptive nature of the book.
i absolutely did not see the twists and turns coming, and thoroughly enjoyed the entire novel.
this is a book about learning to trust your gut about people, rather than putting your trust in hearsay and gossip.
utterly brilliant start to finish.
i could not recommend it more highly!
The Perfect Nanny was an excellent book! It had me gripping to my seat the whole time. I had no idea what was coming. I thought I had it all figured out, but nope! I wish there was more to the plot and to the story overall, but it was great anyway! Thank you for sharing this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
The Perfect Nanny is a suspenseful thriller which brings together some of my favorite tropes: revenge, gas-lighting, and crazy mommies. It's never clear where the mystery will take the reader, but the ending is very satisfying.
I related to Sophie the most since I understand how difficult being a new mother is. I also liked that no one was who they seemed to be. Some characters I grew to hate while others, surprisingly, I came to respect. I felt as if I knew each of them by the end of the book.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get into this book, but still recommend it to anybody interested in the synopsis.
I really enjoyed this read, even though I guessed most things early on, it kept me hooked from beginning to end, a great story all round
I absolutely raced through this in a couple of sittings and thoroughly enjoyed it. The authors had really caught the culture of the yummy mummies and their virtue signalling, a world in which using a dummy is a moral failing. I also thought the authors had really caught the characters of the two women and their very different worlds. It was, as other reviewers have said, a little predictable in terms of its plotting, and a little outrageous elsewhere. Notwithstanding this, a great read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a opportunity to review it.
New mum Sophy Pemberton is really struggling, and isn’t enjoying motherhood as she thought she would. Her son seems to be happier with anyone else but her, and she’s constantly drained and consumed by tiredness. Maybe hiring nanny Liv will help ease her load.
Liv however, has her own agenda. She blames Sophy for the tragic death of her brother, and now seeks revenge. Why should Sophy be able to move on with the perfect life when Liv’s family was destroyed by her actions?
The Perfect Nanny is told over a split narrative which does help create some tension within the novel, but it also ruined some of the plot points because you knew exactly what Liv was and wasn’t doing which took away the mystery.
It’s not badly written in any sense, but there were so many things that should have been written as ‘read-between-the-lines’ that were just too blatant. I had it all worked out fairly quickly, and it was just a shame the authors didn’t give their readers a little more credit that they would work it out if it was a little more cryptic.
I think there was space for more character development and the blurb did make it sound like it was going to be a lot darker than it was. It’s very much billed as revenge fiction, but it doesn’t really hit that point at any stage.
It was a quick read, but just too predictable. I want to have to work at least a little bit to try and figure things out rather than it just being handed to me on a plate. Bit of subtly would have been nice.
