This was a fantastic read. Well written story by the author who writes exceptional books. There was plenty of action, deception, betrayal, heat and secrets. Andreas met Gavy by accident in London. When she suddenly disappears after saying she would meet him, he was devastated. But what he finds out and how her father treated her was more than he could bear. You will love this story and be on the edge of your seat the entire way. HEA

A really enjoyable and exciting new book from Kathryn.
This is Andreas’ story, and his love Gavriella.
It’s more of a whole life story really not just a love one.

It begins before he’s even born, not long after his conception, and with his father and Grandfather at odds.
Continuing through his meeting his love, to the fight for her hand.
It’s beautifully written and enjoyable reading.

Full of tension and passion and chemistry, with a battle or two thrown in for good measure.
This is a LeVeque Epic, quite a long book, 450 Pages, but to me the perfect length.

Highly recommended!

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

Andreas de Wolfe is every inch the warrior he was born to be. Coming from the greatest family of warriors England has ever seen. He has been sent to London on business and a little free time sees him and his compatriots discovering some of the more diverse entertainment the city has to offer.
Cavriella de Leia has been sent to London in disgrace. Through no fault of her own she had a child out of wedlock and her father can't bear to look at her. Her aunt and cousins are not the most welcoming family to stay with. One late night adventure that she never wanted will take her to her worst emotional place yet, but maybe it will bring about a turn in her luck.
As usual with this author's books, the depth of the characters we meet draw us in from the first page to the last.
There is a lot of emotion and giggles galore. The men of all ages sometimes behave like little boys. When the fighting starts though you can almost see each blow.
Even if this is the first book you have read from this author you will fall in love with the characters and want to read many more. Each book has it's own story but you will visit with friends from other books.
I loved every page.

I am absolutely loving these de Wolfe pack generation books.

This one features Andreas, son of Tray. Andreas if a formidable warrior, he’s also a gentleman and is late to take an interest in marriage. These de Wolfe boys don’t just settle for a pretty face they need to find the one. And Andreas finds his in the most unlikely place imaginable.

Gavriella is beautiful, intelligent and kind but she’s been dealt a bad hand. She suffers a violent rape resulting in pregnancy. She gets no support from her father who labels her a whore and sends her away to London to hide his shame.

Where she’s left to deal with her horrible and jealous cousin Aurelia. She’s taken to a place of dreams and debauchery by her cousins. They’re familiar with the place and soon Gavriella finds herself alone. She panics and tries to flee but gets lost. A gentleman comes to her assistance.

Their journey is not a smooth one but that’s what makes this interesting. I loved these two and really wanted everything to work for them.

I really disliked her weak and spineless father. But I suppose dealing with him made her into the woman she is today. And that’s a woman perfect for Andreas.

Can’t wait for the next one now....

I voluntarily read a review copy kindly provided by NetGalley.

The "helm of shame"....omigosh, I'm still laughing every time I think of it! I adore getting swept away in a Kathryn Le Veque story, she sure knows how to keep our interest with her written words. Her books are always filled with adventure, humor, excitement, danger, and the honorable men who will fight to the death to reach their HEA with their chosen mate.

I so enjoyed Andreas and Gavriella's story and it was also fun to see so many of the other characters from previous stories. I would truly love to be adopted by the de Wolfe family!!! lol Andreas is strong and yet can be quite sensitive and I loved how patient and loving he was towards Gavriella. After what had happened to her, he was exactly who she needed in her life. Of course, there's always those who try to interfere but they do get their just rewards!!!

I was given an ARC of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This is my fair and honest review, voluntarily given and in my own words, for this ARC. I do not care in what order you read these books, each one takes you back to remembering what you love about this author, the era and the settings. What i love best is that you REALLY get to know the entire family tree. While that is a definite similarity, each and every one of the characters has their own personalities, their own stories and the love of a dynasty!! SO GOOD!!!

Another enjoyable read of the De Wolfe clan. A woman who is told she is damaged, but is kind, gentle, and stronger than she knows. A warrior who is picky about women, but is protective, understanding, and kind. Both meet one night unexpectedly and after a rocky start, see what there could be. Only knowing their first names, providing an air of mystery, they are drawn to each other. However, Gavriella carries a horrible secret and tried to dissuade Andreas from his pursuit of her. Andreas is a warrior and does not back down from a fight. Gavriella is the woman he has been looking for to be his partner. Unfortunate circumstances tear them apart, only to be reunited months later, both wanting answers and explanations. Can Gavriella put the past behind her to have a future with Andreas? What will Andreas do when he learns the truth?
I received this novel from net galley and the publisher as an ARC. Thank you! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
