So excited for the full novel to come out, and this preview just made me anticipate it more! Thank you publishers and Netgalley for letting me read this sampler!

All I can say about this sample is that it left me wanting to have the whole book in my hand so I could finish it in one night. When King of Scars left off, Zoya had finally grown into the commander and Grisha we all knew she could be, Nina had positioned herself to take down the bigoted Fierdan government, and Nikolai was back and as resourceful as ever. Rule of Wolves make it clear that each of these characters will get their chance to shine. While Nikolai has always been full of jokes and charisma, King of Scars portrayed the burdens he carries. Although this gave some unique insight into his character, it's nice to see him back on his feet doing what he does best. Likewise, although Adrik and Leoni were nice enough characters, I find that I'm excited to see what Nina will do now that she is left to her own devices. She's always been one of my favorites and I think her character has so much potential now that there is no one left to limit her.

Leigh Bardugo's Grisha series is one of my favourites, so I was excited to see this excerpt up on Netgalley! It's been a hot minute since we left off in King of Scars, but these few chapters pulled me back into the world of the Grisha quickly. I'm happy to see Nina, Nikolai, and Zoya again, and it certainly seems like they're up to a lot. I'm really interested to see Nikolai and how his relationship with Zoya keeps evolving, and I can't wait to read the rest of the book.

Bardugo is a master of epic fantasy, and the latest of works, Rule of Wolves, does not disappoint. While I only received a small excerpt, I was craving more story and will likely read the full novel.

I can't wait to read the whole book! This excerpt was a great way to return to the world of the Grisha and it sets the stage for what promises to be a thrilling adventure.

Rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Got an opportunity to read an excerpt for this book from Netgalley and if I wasn't already excited about this book I definitely am now!
This book takes off right after King of Scars ends. I read the excerpt before I started my re-read of King of Scars so it would have been about a year since I read the book and I was a little confused. I definitely recommend a re read if you did not recently finish KoS!
I can already tell that our queen Leigh Bardugo has crafted another another masterpiece of a book and I can't wait to read the whole thing!

Grisha is back! I cannot wait to see what happens next. I’ll definitely have to reread the series so that all the names are fresh in my mind. What will come first? Wedding or War? We shall see.

First time to dive in to Leigh Bardugo’s work, and what a great tease it was. Only three chapters, but the world building is superb and the sample does a great job of grabbing the reader and keeping them coming back for more. Looking forward to reading the full book!

What an amazing excerpt! three chapters for me is not enough. As usual, the story starts with an amazing description of their world and the characters. I can't wait to read the full version of this book.
Thanks to the publisher and to Netgalley for allowing me to read and review a sampler of this book.

I need this whole book ASAP!!!
This sampler does not start where expected but it definitely carries you away back into the Grishaverse VERY quickly!
Bardugo has got such a strong, complex cast of characters in this duology and I can't wait to hear the rest of their story.
Brilliant.

An intriguing sampler that really pulls you in! While I had hoped that I would finish the earlier Grishaverse books before this one came out, I couldn't help myself with this sneak peek. The teaser - the whole book, really - is going to be draw in Grishaverse fans as well as readers new to Leigh Bardugo's work alike.

Only 3 chapters long but they're enough to set the mood and hype for the book release.
I missed these characters so much and I get wait to read the full conclusion to this duology.

I adore Leigh Bardugo and this new instalment of one of my favourite series was perfection. This sampler provided the perfect teaser for the book - full of adventure, suspense and beautiful writing. I cannot wait to read more.

I am very excited about the full book. Though, I think this one will have a slow start, and I saw this within this excerpt.

Richly detailed and filled with enough background that readers don't need to have read Bardgo's earlier books in this series, Rule of Wolves promises another excellent novel of magic and war and intrigue and lore. I'm looking forward to the whole thing.

Only three chapters?
ONLY THREE CHAPTERS????
My life will no longer make sense until this book comes out and maybe beyond!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC sampler.
Within a few chapters, we see war and intrigue stirring. The characterization is gripping, and so much is already at stake. Kingdoms! Love! Betrayal! Who will end up on top? I really can't guess.
This promises to be an adventurous and thrilling book, and I'm excited to read more. If you're a fan of Leigh Bardugo, this something you're going to want to read.

Oh wow - these first few chapters of Leigh Bardugo's upcoming novel are a really fun tease to what promises to be an exciting story! It definitely makes me want to go back and read the first book. And this cover! Wow - the detail is so gorgeous!

I was really excited to get this! It has the first three chapters. It definitely is diving into the political world of the Grisha verse. I can't wait to read the full book.

A worthy continuation of the Grishaverse series, this sampler from Rule of Wolves sets up a tense, adventurous conflict for a familiar cast of heroes and villains.
Leigh Bardugo’s world building is incredibly lengthy and detailed, but invitingly so. Political intrigue and a mysterious blight set up a strong first act; the author does a thorough but not heavy-handed introduction to the ensemble cast of characters so new or unfamiliar readers can catch up on events.
The real strength of the writing lies in the relationships of the characters in this ensemble piece, and the details and motivations of those characters as the plot slowly unwinds.
