Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher I thought I could find the chance to quench my thirst for Grishaverse and I’m grateful for reading the first three chapters of Rule of Wolves but now I need to read the rest of the story even more! I knew that I miss (and let’s be honest I’ll always miss bcz they’re my fav characters) Kaz and Inej but I didn’t even realize I’ve missed Nikolai and Zoya’s relationship that much!! I don’t even mention Bardugo’s writing style anymore!

In this the second book of the King of Scars duology, Nikolai Lantsov will need every bit of his ingenuity and charming personality to win the war looming on his doorstep. With the help of characters like Zoya Nazyalensky and undercover agent Nina Zenik, they must use their strengths to forge a future in the coming dark or watch all they love.Even if it means Nikolai using the monster within..
In this book there are themes of revenge between tow sisters, as one is more loved than the other and when it is suggested that the younger should rule instead of the older whom was brought up as the next heir it spells disaster for more the just the two feuding sisters. Also it shows that others are willing to do what ever it takes to protect the ones they love and those around the , which it the complete opposite the older sister.
I enjoyed the sample of Rule of Wolves that I had the chance to read, it reminded my of what I enjoy this series especially the chemistry between Nikolai and Zoya ,the banter between the two is often a light relief in the dark times.
I would recommend a re-read of the King of Scars just to get ready.😉
So far I'm in love! The sampler was only 3 chapters, and I already need more! It managed to hook me right from the beginning with the three different POVs—Makhi (a new character that I'm already loving!), Nina, and Nikolai. I'm so excited for this final book to complete the duology, though it's also bittersweet since I'm going to miss the grishaverse so much!
Omg! 3 chapters just isn’t enough! I can’t wait to continue this story! This world is on of my absolute favorites!
This is a great start to the book! I'm so excited for Rule of Wolves, and this makes me even more so, because I'm a huge fan of Leigh Bardugo's writing. I can't wait!
Disclaimer: I got this ARC sampler in exchange for an honest review from @NetGalley.
I would love to read the entire arc and write a review for this on Pop-Culturalist.com. Rule of Wolves I loved reading about Nikolai and Zoya's storylines!! I can't wait to see how it all unfolds and I hope I get a complete arc of this book to review in time!! Just the sampler alone is enough to make me excited about this!!!
Leigh Bardugo is (as usual) delivering a promising follow-up to the first half of this duology, King of Scars. The sample chapter has me hooked and very ready to read the full volume of Rule of Wolves. The sample that I read is deserving of 5 stars; however, a full review will follow once Rule of Wolves is released.
Thanks to Netgalley for approving my request for the sampler for Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo, these few chapters make me more excited for the book to be released and I can't wait for the events to occur in the finished copy in March.
I had read this sampler to help tide me over until the full book came out but alas, all it has done is made me even more excited for Rule of Wolves. All of the grishaverse books quickly became some of the best books I have ever read, and I expect nothing less of this one. I will be impatiently awaiting the release date.
I needed Rule of Wolves immediately after I finished King of Scars (I mean, HOW COULD YOU LEAVE ME HANGING WITH AN ENDING LIKE THAT). This sampler eased my impatientness quite a bit, but I;m even more excited now (if that makes sense?).
Leigh has never disappointed me, and after reading this sampler, I know for sure that Rule of Wolves won't disappoint either. So I'll be MIA on March 30th, reading Rule of Wolves!
A really enticing look into the beginning of ROW! Beginning with a look at the Shu queen, this sampler launches us right into the political machinations of Rule of Wolves. I can't wait for the full book!
I absolutely loved this preview and am very excited to read the whole book later this month! This tease just left me wanting more and I cannot wait!
This has made me even more excited for this book to be release!
One of my favorite YA series by the most incredible author and always she has knocked it out the park again. I hope the rest of the book is as good at the beginning
I have been anxiously awaiting this book since finishing King of Scars. This series takes Bardugo's world to a whole new level, focusing on the big picture politics as well as individual stories. This sampler includes the perspective chapters of Nina, Nikolai and a very interesting chapter from Shu-Ham queen Makhi. Even though I read King of Scars two years ago, I was able to remember details based on some light exposition. I am definitely excited to read the whole book in a few months!
I was not really a big fan of King of Scars, partly because of how much of a disappointment it was after Crooked Kingdom and partly because I hate Zoya with all my being, but I really do want to continue with this series and know how the story ends. The sampler had me thinking I can give this one more try until I reached the chapter where Zoya made an appearance. Umm. Maybe not.
I was one of the few who did not like King of Scars, but I'm.still curious about what happens next. This sampler did exactly as it was ment to do and makes me want to read the rest. Leigh Bardugos writing as always is phenomenal.
So excited to continue into the Grishaverse with this next installment!
I can already tell I'm going to enjoy this book. The world-building and magic system in this series is so refreshing and awesome.
Within a few chapters, Leigh Bardugo is able to masterfully emerce readers right into the Grishaverse once more. Shining with revenge plots, undercover missions and a brew war, Rule of Wolves begins to wrap up a beautiful duology.
Despite the shortness of this sampler, the writing, characters and world of Rule of Wolves is absolutely stunning. Leigh Bardugo knows how to perfectly combine detail with action, creating a story brimming with excitement and allure.
Overall, my need to read the rest of this book is heightened by reading this excellent sampler. Thank you Netgallery and the publisher for providing me with a little sample of Rule Of Wolves. I cannot wait to dive into the rest of the story soon!
Loved this sampler! Only three chapters but it seems like a good beginning to the book. I'm ready to jump back into the Grisha world--I can't wait to read the rest of it!
I'm SO EXCITED for this sampler and this novel. Right away you're thrown into the action. Yes, a new character is introduced immediately but Bardugo does an amazing job of reminding you what happened in the first novel.
