Much like other readers, I grabbed a copy of this book via Netgalley to read the story in this anthology by Rebecca. I’ve never read anything by the other two authors but was quite keen to see what type of stories and writing they brought😳A girl clearly on the run, cowboys galore and heaps of lone wolves make an appearance in these stories as a common thread🐺

Suffice to say Diana’s story fell slightly short for me with the old fashioned way of writing but the storyline wasn’t too bad and the characters likeable, which meant after a bit of perseverance I finished it😁 Had this story been just a touch more modern I would’ve given a solid 4 to 4.5 stars but because of the writing it brought this down😢

The story by Kate was another first for me and I REALLY enjoyed it as it was about a single mother who escapes an abusive relationship, years previous and a grumpy former SEAL....yes the former SEAL grabbed me too as this is a genre along with rugged cowboys I particularly like to indulge in❣️A solid 4.5 star read🌟

The final story is by Rebecca and I’m only a few chapters in and can say it’s holding my attention and also slightly different from her usual stories which I think is what’s making it that much more enjoyable. I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️

Rescue: Cowboy Style.
One of the most captivating novellas of the year. There is plenty of opportunity for a huge series, romantic suspense or military romance. The backstory for the twelve men owning land together is unique and mysterious. The boys have military background and have chosen the lands of Wyoming to settle down. Hallie is in a dangerous situation, Trent has this instant connection with her and is determined to save her. The lone wolf has his own place in the story and makes his presence known. There is a lot packed in this story and I can only hope for more. My review was written voluntarily after reading an early copy from Netgalley.

For fans of western romance, a trilogy of stories by three of the genre's favorites headlined by Diana Palmer. Running through each story is the common thread of hot cowboys and their most romantic of trusty sidekicks, the wild wolf.

Diana Palmer's Colorado Cowboy:
Running from her mother's killer, Esther Maris is rescued from a blizzard by wildlife rehabilitator Butch Matthews. Butch is a vet who lives on his own with his his three legged wolf companion Two Toes.. Lately he's been feeling lonely, Finding Esther in a snow bank is a surprise, but the more time he spends with her, the more he wants to convince her to stay.. She's become his to protect.

This is a sweetly sentimental story by a giant of the genre.

Kate Pearce's The Wolf on her Doorstep

Beth Brooks escaped an abusive marriage and has returned to Morgantown. Raising her two teen age sons and holding down a couple of jobs keeps her busy. The last thing she needs is someone else to take care of. As the caretaker of the cabins on the Garcia Ranch, she's called on to go check on Conner O'Neil, the cranky loner of a vet who is hiding from the world. Met at the ranch by Conner's wolf Loki, she knows immediately something is wrong. She finds Conner weak and feverish, suffering an infected wound. Given no choice, Beth nurses him back to health. In the process, she breaks through his crusty exterior to the man underneath. Conner is surprised to find that Beth has gotten under his skin. And when one of her sons takes off to see his estranged father, he's happy to be the one that Beth leans on for support..

Kate Pearce returns to Morgan Valley for another enjoyable story fraught with emotion and small town life.

Rebecca Zanetti's Rescue Cowboy Style

Trent is intrigued by the wet, bedraggled woman who shows up at the door of the club house. He can recognize the fear and uncertainty in her eyes and is determined to find out what put it there. Hallie is on the run with no money, and no one to turn to. While Trent and his brother's by experience are some of the most intimidating men she's ever met, they make her feel safe, at least for now. But trouble is dogging her heels and she's ready to run as soon as she can. Trent isn't going to let that happen. He needs to be the one to solve her problems. Then he plans to claim her as his own.

This is my favorite story of the trilogy. With her trademark quick, witty dialogue, humor and sarcasm Ms. Zanetti has crafted an intriguing tale leaving the reader wanting to know about the brothers. I can see this being the start of a new series - and I hope I'm right.

This anthology will drive any western romance lover in and only gets more enjoyable from there. Three NY Times bestselling authors deliver sizzling cowboy short stories about alpha heroes and their loyal wolves.

With Colorado Cowboy, Diana Palmer gives readers a sweet slow burn with a caring veteran dedicated to helping wildlife and an equally caring woman wanting a fresh start in life. Although this is my first Diana Palmer story, it’s my understanding that Butch has appeared in prior Diana Palmer books which will be a treat for her fans.

Kate Pearce pens a fast pace romance with a dash of suspense in The Wolf On Her Doorstep where single mother Beth Baker sets out to help the obstinate and cantankerous ex-Navy SEAL. This story highlights themes such as trust, loyalty, and of course love.

And last, but certainly not least, Rescue: Cowboy Style by Rebecca Zanetti, which was full of all the elements of I love about Rebecca’s books: good plot, great characters which include a bossy, hot alpha male and an endearing heroine, and lots of steam. I especially loved Trent’s “brothers” and how they had each other’s backs. I hope these side characters get their own stories I would love to read.

Lone Wolf is a cowboy anthology by Diana Palmer, Beth Baker and Rebecca Zanetti. They are standalone novellas with happy endings. Genres: Contemporary Romance. Tropes: cowboy romance

Diana and Kate and Rebecca, oh my! I love a good anthology. Three awesome writers delivering three awesome stories. It was like Christmas morning and each story was a new present. I loved all three.
5 stars!!!

Three short stories about finding love when you least expect it. All three are well written but Kate Pearce was my favorite.

My review is for The Wolf on Her Door - Kate Pearce

Beth Baker and Conner O'Neil both struggle with life. Whether looking to live quietly or with family, trauma is real. Beth is a single mother. Her own trials with raising boys have shown her that the male ego is more fragile than their outer body suggests. But dealing with Conner's stubbornness and grouchy behaviour takes levels of patience even she is hard-pressed with dealing. Can trust be formed when both have such serious issues? Can a family be found when the past doesn't want to let go?

notes: clean romance/fade to black
notes: trigger warning for PTSD and domestic violence

Three quick novellas. I enjoyed the first two but not a fan of the third one. It was a bit unrealistic and quite far fetched, in my opinion. For that reason 3.5 stars

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

Each installment is the perfect bite-size read that will keep you satisfied long after you finish turning the pages.

I have honestly have not read something this painfully bad in a long time but I stuck with it because for one I kept hoping it would get better and then because if I am to write a review I think it's fair I read through.
The first novella vas the absolute worst. I don't know how to word how bad that was, it felt like a train wreck. The characters were not at all believable, the story was terribly lame and the ending made me want to scream. I get that Diana Palmer is old school but seriously <spoiler>having an idiotically macho hero who can only be with the pregnant love of his life if she gives up her money and starts working as a waitress for tips is too much. having the same guy inherit a large sum from his wife's grandfather and accepting it because money coming from man to man is ok and then you can be rich is the dumbest thing I've read this past decade - and I read quite a lot </spoiler>
The second was ok-ish but I read it yesterday and today I had to look into it again to remember what it was about so that tells you about how impactful it was.
The third was not badly written but not my cup of coffee at all. I never read Rebecca Zanetti before but she seems to be having a lot of fans so I gave it a go now. Nope. It might have been because of the short format but it was far-fetched, cheesy at times, filled with ista-lust and just ... meh.
I guess the second and third are about two and a half stars but since the first one was so incredibly bad, I'll give this anthology a two star rating.

All the books in this anthology have one thing in common - they each have a wolf in them. I have to admit that I requested this anthology mostly for Rebecca Zanetti's book, Rescue: Cowboy Style, but I ending up reading (and enjoying) all the stories. They were all interesting and attention-holding in their own way....although I do think Zanetti's was my favorite. A solid 4 stars for the entire set.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor.

The goddesses of intrigue come together to blow the mind and touch the heart. With every twist and turn Lone Wolf will leave you breathless. With a touch of heartwarming and a bundle of suspense Palmer, Pearce and Zanetti are a captivating combination that will steal away with more than just your heart.

Rescue Cowboy Style by Rebecca Zanetti
*****
Rating: 4 stars
Steam: 1 flame (clean)
Genre: Romantic Suspense
*****
The entire reason I wanted this book was to read Rebecca Zanetti’s story. Rebecca Zanetti is one of my all time favorite authors and there really isn’t anything (IMO) that she can’t write and once again she proves to me why she is one of my few one-click authors. I am not a fan of clean romance, at all and I am generally not a fan of short stories because it’s hard to pack a punch in a few chapters. Well, Ms. Zanetti just showed me I could enjoy a short clean romance. So much so I am hoping this will develop into a series because the characters were so interesting I want more! I want all their stories (but maybe with some steam next time). Trent and his team of wounded warriors were a fantastic group of guys! And Hallie was intelligent and a perfect match for Trent. Yes it’s on the insta side, but it’s a short story. I expect a little insta. I still enjoyed the story and fell for all the characters. I hope that Zeke get’s his story with Dr. Mills, and I would love to have Ford’s story!

The Wolf on Her Doorstep by Kate Pearce
*****
Rating: 3 stars
Steam: 1 flame (clean / fade to black)
Genre: Sweet clean insta love / damsel in distress
*****
Although I know this is a short story, I was on board all the way up until the ending. I felt the ending was just a little too rushed for me. It was a insta love, insta understanding, and insta changes, this is a hard sell for me. I did like the fact that the FMC was a strong, single mother that put our hero in his place when needed. My only wish is that there had been one more chapter to just tie the two MC’s together a little more succinctly. I like Kate Pearce, and this was a good short story

Colorado Cowboy by Diana Palmer - This story and author was not for me.

So, a lot of the time I only read one of the stories in an anthology, this time I read all of them. Honestly, I grabbed this for Rebecca Zanetti’s book, but I’m never, ever going to turn down a Diana Palmer story! But new to me author Kate Pearce was right up there.

Now, how do you not love a cowboy story? But 3? I think I need an actual vacation in the west, until then, these 3 are keeping me nice and hot!

Three novellas that are each terrific. If you are already familiar with the authors you will enjoy their story. If new to you, it will be a good sample of their writing. It was interesting to read the other reviews as most liked least the story I like best . You decide. All are good. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley.

These stories are all brought together with a common theme, a wolf.

Colorado Cowboy by Diana Palmer
I know this is a novella so it's intended to be short. That's not the issue I had with it. Everything felt a little too contrived. I'm just not able to get behind the whole premise of a completely sheltered pampered woman not having any outlet except her neglectful uber rich yet overbearing mother. And that just made it hard to read the book and get connected with any of the characters because it was just a little too much for me to accept. Maybe it's just me or I just didn't connect with this particular authors writing style.

The Wolf on Her Doorstep by Kate Pearce
Connor is a grumpy recluse only supposed to be in town for the summer. When he doesn't show to pick up his supplies in town the concern for his safety prompts Beth to head out to check on him. As if she doesn't have enough on her plate with her moody son Mikey and the somewhat settled Wes to contend with. And when Mikey drops a bomb on Beth about being in contact with his father she's glad she has somewhere to be.
Connor is not pleased to have Beth show up at the cabin. But he's in no condition to argue. Fevered and dealing with his own inadequate first aid he's forced to accept her assistance. Yet even ill he's not able to suppress his reaction to Beth. And when the shadows fall so do the inhibitions. Now reality surfaces and errant man children have to be dealt with. And decisions on whether to get balance and finally stop drifting and call something more than Loki his.

Rescue Cowboy Style
Trent Logan is searching for peace. After years of dealing with the unimaginable he and his "brothers" have finally found a place they can make a difference and find a sense of normal. They are all protective by nature and are the first to step in to offer a helping hand.
Hallie comes in from the storm looking for help but she doesn't expect what she finds. She's got secrets she doesn't want to reveal and paths she's afraid to take again. But she's no match for Logan's persistance and the draw towards him. It's time to set her life back in order and find her new beginning.

This is a really good book. I especially enjoyed Rebecca Zanetti's story about a new group of guys and look forward to reading about the rest of them, too. It was a fast paced, adventurous book that included a cool wolf! I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

All three books are about women who are either running from danger or trying to survive the abuse they suffered. The heroes are strong men who feel that women should be protected and cared for. The stories are well written and entertaining. I enjoyed all the stories but Pearce’s story was my favorite. This is a nice collection of books.
I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley and are voluntarily leaving a review.

COLORADO COWBOY by DIANA PALMER

Fleeing her mother’s killer, Esther Marist ends up at a rugged stranger’s cabin. A wildlife rehabilitator with a menagerie that includes an elderly wolf, Matthews isn’t the type to turn any creature away. As Esther heals, she realizes how much danger she’s brought to his door—and how far he’ll go to protect her. A well written page turner which I devoured.

THE WOLF ON HER DOORSTEP by KATE PEARCE

Beth Baker is keeping an eye on Garcia ranch cabins in Morgan Valley whilst the family are away. She senses her grumpy summer tenant must be in trouble when his pet wolf Loki shows up at her door, demanding she follow. Conner O’Neil, solitary and stubborn, doesn’t want Beth’s help.
Another resident of Morgantown finds love. I loved that Connor & Beth were mature, Beth is raising two young adult boys & Connor a retired SEAL, this was a very well written novella which I wanted to be longer & see how things panned out. A delightful read which I read in a sitting, both Connor & Beth had issues to deal with but their attraction sizzled & they found that they were willing to give things a chance

RESCUE: COWBOY STYLE by REBECCA ZANETTI

Trent Logan has his ranch, his friends, and his wolf, and that's more than enough—until a shivering city girl runs into the Cattle Club to escape a Wyoming storm. Her eyes hold a world of secrets, and he’ll have to face the demons of his own past in order to save them both. This novella seemed to be the introduction to a series or at least I hope it is!
Three delightful novellas, two of which are connected to series but all read so well as standalones
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
