This contains three stories.
Colorado Cowboy is Matthews story. We first met him in Mistletoe Cowboy which is in another anthology set at Christmas. Matthews takes in Esther who is on the run after her mother is murdered. All seems to be going well for a happily ever after until Matthews finds out who Esther really is. The emotion does come through even though it is novella length rather than full length.

The Wolf on her Doorstep brings together two souls who have been burned and are very independent. I like Beth and Connor and how their story turns out.

Rescue: Cowboy Style has former military men rescuing a city girl from a terrible situation. It is the only one that fades to black before sex. There is forceful, strong male expression that might seem overbearing to some.
Content: sexual encounters that are more described in the first two novella.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this book prior to publication.

All the cowboys a girl could want!

This collection is an enticing mix of three very different contemporary cowboy romances, each featuring a wolf as a companion to each hero.

The first one is Colorado Cowboy by Diana Palmer. Esther is an innocent, sheltered young girl on the run after witnessing her mother's murder. She winds up being rescued by Butch, a wounded veteran who now works as an animal rehabilitator keeps mostly to himself. The story was intriguing and had some very sweet moments, but the author's penchant for repeating details gave the overall feeling of an amateur effort. The characters were well developed and the HEA was delightful.

The second story is The Wolf on Her Doorstep by Kate Pearce. Set in the Morgan Valley world, this story features Beth, whose two boys are nearly grown yet she's still gun shy after surviving an abusive marriage, and Conner, a veteran who is just visiting for the summer but winds up needing Beth's help when he's injured. This story focuses more on the inner demons both Conner and Beth are fighting, with a bit of action as they work to help Beth's son deal with his conflicting feelings about his father. I loved the way they supported each other and weren't afraid to address the tough heart issues. They get a quick HEA that feels like it's still at the beginning of their relationship, but I'm sure we'll continue to see them growing more solid in the future books set in this world.

The final story was my favorite, and the reason I gave the entire book five stars. In Rescue: Cowboy Style by Rebecca Zanetti, Hallie stumbles into the club where she meets Trent, and despite his determination to continue living an unencumbered life, he's instantly drawn to her and can't help the desire to slay all her dragons. And she's got a few - she's on the run from some pretty nasty criminals and she has no idea how much more dangerous Trent and his comrades are.

This story appears to be the start of a series, as Trent is the first of the twelve members of his "team" to settle down with a woman. The story of how these men came together is as heartbreaking as it is compelling, and I'm already heavily invested in reading future books involving this unusual company of heroes. Trent and Hallie get a tremendously satisfying HEA, which was just the icing on the cake of their captivating romance.

If you're a fan of any of these authors, you don't want to miss this collection. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

A delightful trio of novellas, all featuring a wolf as a supporting character in the plot. In each case, we have alpha male heroes, strong independent heroines each needing the other for growth and redemption, and of course the wolf adding emotional and protective support. We have two stories of women on the run, and one of the women rescuing the man. We have men trying to protect the women, and of course some egos we have to work around and through. A delightful trio. Do enjoy. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher. This is my freely given, honest review.

The stories just didn't do much for me. I enjoyed the first one, the second one was just ok and the last one was a waste of my reading time. I would not recommend this book

COWBOY COLORADO by Diana Palmer
2 stars....
Esther is a young woman, who sees her mother thrown down the stairs by her boyfriend. She gave Esther her changed will the day before and puts a ring on her finger and tells her to run. Esther gets a ride from a trucker couple and goes to Benton. She meets Butch, an army vet, an animal wildlife rehabilitator, and an arm amputee. Butch invites Esther to stay with him but she doesn't say how rich she really is. Will Butch let his pride destroy the love he has found?
It took everything I had to finish this. The point of view of each person was blended together and you would have to reread parts to figure out what was being said. The editing, I hope gets fixed before publishing. Ok Esther, was like a child, I guess where she was sheltered. I was not fond of her.
**********
THE WOLF ON HER DOORSTEP by
5 stars
Beth has two college age kids but only one is her biological son. Wes, is the son of her ex, and she took him in. Connor is a formal SEAL and in staying in a cabin up in the mountains. After not showing up for supplies, Beth goes to check on him. Connor hurt his leg and infection has set up and his running a fever so Beth stays to take care of him. Her son has decided to visit his abusive dad in prison and it tears Beth up. Beth realizes she must let her son make his own mistakes.
This was a great story but I honestly thought it should have been just a little bit longer. A grumpy man and a independent woman.
**********
RESCUE: COWBOY STYLE by Rebecca Zanetti
5 stars...
Hallie gets stranded and goes to a clubhouse and meets Trent. She is on the run from her bosses who she overheard talking about murder. Trent and his "brothers", who were all in the military, own a ranch and are getting their lives back on track. Will Hallie stay with Trent after learning his secrets?
Goodness this was hard to write. I didn't want to give anything away so it might not back sense. It's a Rebecca Zanetti story so you know it has to be good. Secrets and suspense. I hope there will be more books about these characters.

This book has three different stories, by three different authors, with an adorable wolf in each. I enjoyed all three stories. Diana Palmer brought her usual good story and I found new authors in Kate Pearce and Rebecca Zanetti. This was a fine read.

Lone Wolf
Diana Palmer
Kate Pearce
Rebecca Zanetti
April 27, 2021

This terrific book features three novels that take place in Wyoming. The first is Colorado Cowboy by Diana Palmer. It features the lonely trek of Esther Marist, walking along the highway avoiding the terrorist who killed her mother, knowing if he found her it would be a certain death. Her mother, Terri, was a multi-millionaire sought by one predator after another. Esther lived with her mom in one or another of her fancy homes. Not allowed to work, she didn’t have the wherewithal to figure out a method of escaping. What little money she had in her bag would need to get her through.
The 2nd story by Kate Pearce, The Wolf on Her Doorstep, follows Beth Baker. She is a divorced, single mother who did her best to manage the welfare of herself, her son, Mikey and stepson, Wes. One morning she hears a scratch on the kitchen door. Thinking it was a cat she opened the door and in walked a male, wolf. Fearing the animal at first she called out for help. When she discovered the boys had left for the day she remained quiet so as not to frighten the beast. She could not believe it as the creature came forward and allowed her to pet him, he snuggled her legs. Remembering that one of the new cabin residents from the Garcia Farm cabins owned a wolf. It was well trained and seemed to be lost. Leaving a note for her sons, she put the wolf in the car and headed out to return Loki to Connor O’Neil. This heartwarming tale is comforting and a joy to read.
The last novella is Rescue: Cowboy Style by Rebecca Zanetti. A short story that leads 24 year old Harley skidding off the side of the road while following a wolf she thought was injured. In the process, her car slid forward and fell into a ditch. She saw lights among the flashes of lightning and started walking, hoping she would arrive before the rains began. Wet and cold she knocked at the huge building. Music was booming but voices of laughter and fun drowned out her knocks at the door. Suddenly the entrance flew open. There stood a tall, powerful 30 something. He was handsome and greeted her with kindness. Trent Logan welcomed her to his home, gave her dry clothes despite the look of some kind of party being celebrated.
Lone Wolf will be published by Zebra Books of Kensington Publishing Corporation on April 27, 2021. I appreciate their allowing me to read and review this splendid novel. Palmer, Pearce, and Zanetti have given us a welcome addition to their libraries. I very much enjoyed it and know that the followers of these authors will embrace their latest effort. These heartfelt romantic stories are a pleasant read for all genres. Do enjoy this one!

Lone Wolf is a 3 novella set by Diana Palmer, Rebecca Zanetti, and Kate Pearce. All three novellas were short and sweet; all tied together by a wolf in each. Expectations for each novella was met, and will be a good recommendation for readers of light or clean romance. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is a anthology of 3 novellas written by 3 different authors. It is a fun read. I am not a "cowboy" fan but still enjoyed the novellas. They are unique to each author. 4 stars. I think most romance readers would enjoy. All of them have some hint of a wolf in them.

Three novellas, all with a wolf in the story.
Colorado Cowboy
Was a disappointment. Unrealistic characters and storyline. Hard to believe a 23 year old millionaire would be that childlike. Two stars.
Wolf on her Doorstep
I have read a book by Kate Pearce and was glad we were back in Morgantown. Fast pace read, single mom with two teenagers who is busy with her life. Winds up taking care of a loner guest at the ranch who is fighting a infection from a accident. But who is helping who? Four stars.
Rescue: Cowboy Style,
New author for me! Love it, my favorite from the 3 stories. I will be looking for more from this author.
Not just one bad boy, but twelve! This is Trent story, who rescue a damsel in danger. Great plot, wonderful characters. Five stars

All three stories are so completely different and yet you will fall in love with each of them! I read this book sooooo quickly because it kept my interest and the characters are relatable. These aren’t super steamy but there are a few steamy parts in each one. Regardless, a great set of stories!

I received an electronic ARC from Kensington Books through NetGalley.
Three novellas that each have a wolf as a character. Each author builds her romance wrapped around suspense and danger.
Palmer - Colorado Cowboy - Her usual style of an innocent heroine with a damaged hero. The formula has worked for her for many years. In this case, the danger involves her seeing her mother murdered and fleeing from the boyfriend who did it. She stumbles on the hero and together with help from wealthy friends and family, they defeat him and find love is stronger than pride.

Pearce - The Wolf on Her Doorstep - Loved seeing a woman who has rescued herself and her child from an abusive relationship. She also adopts another child who was damaged by the same man. Readers see her strength and continued vulnerability as she connects with a damaged former soldier.

Zanetti - Rescue: Cowboy Style - Plenty of characters introduced in this novella. They work together to protect this vulnerable heroine from criminal employers who plan to kill her. She has been on the run for a month before landing at this rather interesting ranch. The hero is not who he seems and his brothers have bonds forged in dire circumstances. First I have read by this author but look forward to reading the rest of the series.

This is a collection of three short stories that all tie together because they each feature a wolf.

Colorado Cowboy

I found this story to be a bit unrealistic. The romance between Butch and Esther happened very quickly & lacked depth for me. A millionaire running away to a random cabin, and being content to live in a small house & waitress seemed unrealistic. I also couldn’t help but feel like the naive Esther was being taken advantage of by a more experienced man, but maybe that’s just me.

The Wolf on Her Doorstep

I enjoyed this story. The strong Beth & grumpy ex-soldier were a nice compliment to each other. Their interactions and relationship seemed authentic and realistic. Sometimes short stories can feel hurried and incomplete, but this story was nicely paced with a realistic ending.

Rescue: Cowboy Style

This one was my favorite out of the three stories. Rebecca Zanetti is a master at creating complex characters that you connect with instantly. Trent and Hallie were both really likable characters, that you were rooting for from the beginning. I enjoyed their story and really hope that there are more books coming up featuring all of Trent’s brothers.

Three novellas by three wonderful authors. One constant in all three is the presence of a wolf.

Colorado Cowboy by Diana Palmer
A little disappointed with this story. The characters were dull and lacked emotion. The story had no depth. It's a quick read. Two-star book.

The Wolf on Her Doorstep by Kate Pearce
This is a new author to me. I enjoyed this book. The characters are well-developed, and they deal with intense issues. The plot flowed smoothly, and the story was well-written. Four-star book.

Rescue: Cowboy Style by Rebecca Zanetti
A story that was full of tension and intrigue that grabs the reader's attention from the start. Hallie has secrets. Trent tries to figure out the secret. They have great chemistry. The characters are wonderful and the plot is well-written. Five-star book.

4 – “I’ll tell you me secrets… If you tell me yours.” Stars!

A hugely enjoyable novella which basically gives an introduction to Trent Logan and his band of misfit ex-servicemen. The story is built around his connection with Hallie Rose, whose car (in)conveniently breaks down on the road outside his ranch.

"If it can be ridden, we will ride it."

Her turning up on his doorstep puts all of his protective instincts on high alert, but Hallie isn’t keen to fully trust the uber-alpha Trent, even if he does make her hot and achy in all the right places. Trent knows she’s in trouble and makes it his mission to find out with whom and making sure the problem goes away.

"You can be grumpy – you can be spunky – you can be sweet. But the one thing you do not want to be right now, in the bedroom with that bed so close... is cute."

Hugely enjoyable as expected. I would have liked it to be longer and the sex more detailed but it was a taster of what’s to come, and I absolutely want to feast on the rest of the menu as the rest of the books are released over the coming months/years.

"The only mouth I’ve taken lately has been yours… and after one taste, nobody else will ever do."

I received this book for an honest review. Opinions are my own.

The first novella by Diana Palmer was not my favorite. The characters seemed quite repetitive and the vocabulary usage and tone was too childlike for my taste. I understand the main character is supposed to be naive and sheltered, but at times she was annoying with her middle school like statements. I thought the idea behind the story held promise but fell through at the end. This is the first time I have read anything by this author.

The second novella by Kate Pearce was very well written. I enjoyed it. I would read more if the author wrote a full-length novel or if she decided to write books for the sons. This was my first time reading anything by this author.

The third novella, and the reason why I requested a ARC, is by Rebecca Zanetti. One of my all time favorite authors. There is nothing more for me to say then 'she did it again'. Having read all of her other books, I can't wait for her to expand on this series and give the rest of the guys their own stories. She set it up perfectly for other books and I look forward to reading them.

I loved this visit back into Kate Pearce's Morgantown. I really enjoy Rebecca Zanetti and was so excited to get to read this one of hers as well. Lone Wolf was a fun trio of cowboy romance and I enjoyed it so much. It makes me excited to dive back into some of these authors other books!

This anthology about a cowboy type hero with a pet wolf and heroine in need of some help was a bit of a mixed bag for me. Zanetti was the only one of the three I had previously read. the 1st story by Palmer did not work for me at all. not the characters (both had characteristics that quickly had me disliking them instead), the plot or writing style (quickly felt repetitive and boring which is not good for a novella). the 2nd story (by Pearce) was better, with a nicely paced story and characters. I enjoyed the interactions of the H/H as they learned about each other and themselves as well. I was left satisfied and may consider reading more by this author. The last story was my favorite. Zanetti's story had lots of intrigue - not just in the plot but in the characters as well. while the hero and story was a little "over the top" at times, it was also nicely offset by some bits of humor and the relationship we got glimpses of between the hero and his "brothers". this story felt a bit like a potential series starters and if it is, I'd definitely be willing to read more. as a whole the book moved from "no thanks" to "yes" to "more please" -- a mixed bag.

I received an ARC for my honest opinion.

I enjoyed all three stories. They were well-written plot was entertaining. Palmer is an excellent writer and sweetness of Esther’s romance with Butch was heartwarming. I really enjoyed how their relationship progressed.
Pearce was a new author for me but I was impressed. Her characters had chemistry and I enjoyed how Beth was able to connect emotionally with Connor. Zanetti is one of my favorite authors and she did not disappoint with Trent and Hallie. There was humor and romance and suspense, everything you need for a perfect read.
Overall, I highly recommend this book.
