I really thought this was the whole book to be read but learned that it was The Book Club Kit which is meant to be used as a discussion for a book club. I did read it and least I have an understanding of this book that everyone is talking about and that I still want to read. It was a good insight into the book.
This is an excellent tool for any book discussion group looking to delve deeper into this best-selling title.
The questions certainly make you think about the book in different ways, and you can relate to the stories of the characters within your own life.
There are eight questions, all quite in-depth with enough material to spread discussions over a few sessions. The inclusion of an “In conversation with Matt Haig” was an excellent addition, where he explains more about the ideas behind the novel.
As this is a book club kit versus a book, my feedback will relate to the quality of the discussion questions and background author insight. I do believe these questions would provide thoughtful and lengthy conversation in relation to The Midnight Library. The questions with the author gave a solid understanding of the journey to this book and I enjoyed getting in Matt Haig's mind a bit as I thought the concept of this book was incredible.
This is such a cool guide for book clubs when reading The Midnight Library.
Beautiful illustration and great interview / questions for any book club!
I read this whole book and absolutely loved it. I thought the whole concept was such a great idea and so creative! It got me thinking about how I wish my life could be different, but just because it could be different does not mean that it would be better! Sometimes it is really hard to remember that. I definitely would recommend this book to my friends and family.
This was a really useful tool to help plan a book club discussion for this book, which I read a few weeks ago. IF you are looking for interviews / discussion questions, this is a great resource!
