I was excited to see that there was a premade Book Club Kit for Such a Fun Age. I used this Book Club Kit with one of the groups that meets monthly at the library. It was so handy to already have it and I will also print a copy for the library's Book Club Kit for Such a Fun Age.

Great book club questions! This is a must if you are reading this book and love discussion questions. I just love the art style and the section where you can color the cover!

i thought this was the actual book, i'm sorry, will buy the book and read it and then like review the questions again, i'm pretty excited this is going to be one of my next reads.

The Book Club Kit for Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid is a must-read for those looking to dive into discussions about race, privilege, and power dynamics. Reid's debut novel follows the story of Emira, a young black babysitter, and her employer, Alix, a white influencer, as their lives become intertwined in unexpected ways.
The novel is a thought-provoking exploration of race relations and the complexities of privilege, with nuanced characters that are both relatable and flawed. Reid's writing is sharp, witty, and poignant, making for an engaging and page-turning read.
The Book Club Kit includes discussion questions, a reading guide, and other resources to facilitate meaningful conversations and deeper insights into the themes explored in the novel. It's a perfect choice for book clubs and reading groups looking to explore issues of race and class in a thoughtful and engaging way. Overall, Such a Fun Age is a powerful and timely debut that will leave readers thinking long after they've turned the last page.

This book was really strange to read since I've literally had this exact same experience before being the babysitter and also being the child where people thought my mom stole me when we're leaving the grocery store. Its filled with pop culture references and a fast read in general but not a life changing book for me. If you're a black woman like I am you might get some validation out of this but is certainly not new material unfortunately. I really liked the structure of the book club kit. It was unlike any other kit I've done thus far. I thought the character cocktail and the coloring page were a fun touch. I also really appreciated that the questions were way more personal based to get you thinking about what you might do instead of just comprehension questions.

The writing was great. made it easy to read and enjoy! loved!
“I don't need you to be mad that it happened. I need you to be mad that it just like... happens.”

This was not for me type of book, I honestly felt like this was a book about black struggles by a white woman. The dialogue was atrocious. Hopefully her next book is better.

I had read this book back in 2020 so when a local book club choose this as their monthly pick, I downloaded this book club kit. It was a great tool to refamiliarize myself with the book. The questions and author responses really shed some insight on certain topics in the book. The questions also prompted great discussions during the book club meeting.

I read this book prior to requesting the Book Club Kit, in a way I wish I would have done it the other way around and I think that I would have enjoyed the book so much more. The kit gives so many good questions to think about as you read. It was great to get to know the author through the kit. Nice addition to add the cocktail recipes!!

I love Kiley Reid books and let me tell you, this Book Club kit is quite awesome.
Loved the discussion questions and the themed cocktails!!!!!!
Also... a color cover? YES
I recomend.

3/5
It has everything that you need, do I wish it had more yes. I always enjoy the discussion with an author and I did like how they included a coloring page of the cover. I wish it had more substance to it, maybe a recipe or what to read next. Maybe books that the author recommends.

While I did not enjoy this actual read, I thought this was a simple and well-rounded book club kit that would be great as a stand alone guide for a discussion or even something that could be built upon.
I liked the included cocktail recipes- would be really fun to have a drink that is themed upon the book being discussed.

Loved the cocktail recipes! I also really like getting to know the author before reading any of their books. That way I get to understand their backstories even through their characters

Reid’s debut novel is infuriating, eerie and thought-provoking — all in the best way.
Emira’s interactions with both her employer and the bystander grow to uncomfortable levels, but it all feels very purposeful.
The novel is also the perfect fall read. Reid sets many scenes with autumnal spirit in mind; cat ears are pulled out at Halloween and a whole lot goes down at the Thanksgiving dinner table.

Such a Fun Age book club kit includes the discussion questions about the book (with fun cocktails recipes) and an interesting “conversation with Kiley Reid”.
I recently discovered the existence of these kits and I am loving them!
My favorite part is always the interview with the author which is very interesting as it allows you to understand more about the book and, in this case, to know better Kiley Reid.
I absolutely recommend it!
Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Random House for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I definitely devoured this book. It's easily one of the best debut novels I've read. It tackles so many complex issues like racism, classism, and cultural appropriation in an extremely readable, wild, and page-turning plot. the alternating POV between Mrs. Chamberlain and Emira was so well executed and made certain points of the story even more cringe-worthy. i’ll be thinking about this book for a long time. My only criticism is that it felt a bit heavy handed at times, but overall a really nice debut.

This was a great addition to aide in our Book Club’s Discussion. Really appreciate when Authors’& publishers take the time to develop these and add additional insight into the creation of the novel as well as the ideas the author was trying to achieve.

I loved the book and the book club kit supplements the book. The cocktail recipes were great and the questions will help in discussions. I also thought the coloring page was a nice addition. This guide is short and will be a great add to your book club. I highly recommend it.

I loved the conversation with Kiley Reid. The coloring sheet was a nice added bonus and so much fun.

Reading goes in and out of fashion in my household. Sometimes I’m reading a book a day and sometimes it’s been a month and my current read is gathering dust. Recently I feel I’m somewhere in between… that was until I picked up Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid and couldn’t put it down.
This book covers some difficult to swallow concepts about privilege and race, and how our choices impact others. I cringed my way through some parts, wanting to shake the character into hearing themselves. The conversation being had with the book is not knew, but reading it in this way felt accessible and thought provoking. And while confronting, also highly engaging.
In my opinion it was not just a story about race, it’s a story about impact. About what people will do to prove they are not racist, to prove that they belong and to prove that they’re still revivant. Personally, I wish some of the characters could have grown more, shown they had learnt and that there could have been some kind of resolution. However, in reality that doesn’t always happen.
But while this is a prominent cultural statement of a story, it is also filled with humour and warmth. The relationship between Emira and Briar made me smile from ear to ear and were pure pockets of joy.
It’s a book for the book clubs
It’s a book for those who want to be challenged
It’s a book for those looking for a guide for how not to dump your high school girlfriend
