I always enjoy reading books about people and their lives. An Officer's Journey is written by Richard A. Moore. He is a junior officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He had to grow up a lot during his tour of duty. I enjoyed reading this book through the eyes as he saw the world. Vietnam was a horrible war and there are so many that were deeply affected by it. The book is well written, I felt that I learned a lot through this story.
