I might be a little biased but... I loved this book! It would be a great book for a child who loves to read but also might be able to get through to a child who is showing some hesitancy towards reading.

𝐆𝐔𝐒𝐇:
• The artwork is gorgeous and keeps the audience engaged with the use of vibrant colours and cute characters (including fairytale characters such as fairies, giants, dragons, etc.)
• The narration is fun and whimsical
• Casual use of his/her/them pronouns

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

If you want to build a library how would you do it? A cute book about what a dream library looks like. I wish I could have a library as awesome as the one built in the book.

This was so cute and i loved the artwork!
While I don’t believe this book breaks anything, or is innovative in any way, I still believe children will absolutely love it. And, what better way to prove my point than to read it to one niece?
I can say it was a hit. She giggled and was so entertained, and honestly it made my job pf babysitting her a lot easier.
The things I liked about this book:
- how she just thought of something she wanted, and made it happened.
- the artwork (yes, I’ll say it again)
- how there are a lot of creatures that are helping her build the library, showing that sometimes you need help.
Overall, cute read I liked it, and so did my niece.

What a delightful, fun and colourful story about libraries. As a librarian, I love everything to do with libraries and so does our main character. A young girl wants to build her own library but she needs heaps of things, and heaps of help. Help comes in the form of of some friendly giants.
This is a wee gem with lots of imagination, lots of book talk and lots of fun.
This special library will have dragons, and ladders, and even a bathtub too. Bright, cherry illustrations add to the delight of this picture book about the love of books.

Perfect for children who love to read, So You Want To Build a Library is a bright, fun and inclusive book with excellent illustrations!

This was so adorable! I’m immediate preordering this to give to my nieces. Following a little girl who’s dream it is to build a library so she can always have books around. These are all the values I want to help instill in my nieces. Highly recommend. And the artwork was amazing!!

This little book has everything you can imagine from a fairy tale. I don't really recommend it as it has fairy tales and such but young readers may enjoy it if they like fairy tales.

This super cute book features a girl who wants to build a library and all of the fun things she'd include in her library. Want a playground, cushy couch, even dragons in your library? No problem. The illustrations are cute and this book is sure to be a favorite among children when they read it. Capstone Publishing has done it again. Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy for an honest review.

Leslie offers a fun, fantastical look at all the wonderful things that make up a library . . . plus giants and dragons. The illustrations by Aviel Basil are bright and whimsical.
This one should keep the readers (and listeners) busy imagining what their own dream libraries would be like.
Look for this book in August. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the sneak preview.

Vibrant and diverse, So You Want To Build a Library is perfect for sharing one-on-one and with large groups.

Wow. This book is beautiful.
The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous, and I love how vibrant and colourful all of the pictures are!
I love that the library in the story combines all of a readers favourite things — reading in the bath, fairies, giants, playgrounds, unlimited ice scream scoops…
If I was a kid, I’d definitely want to visit this library… if only they made such a thing for adults.
Ultimately, a fantastic and beautifully designed children’s book, that I can’t wait to recommend to everybody.

I received an electronic ARC from Capstone through NetGalley.
Readers get to join with the narrator as she builds her own library. Fun and humor prevail as this young girl constructs her perfect library out of materials she takes from her home and neighborhood. Once the incredible building is complete, she chooses the books with input from book characters and readers. The illustrations capture the fun and imagination involved in creating this unique library. A terrific read aloud to share with mid-elementary level classes. Should launch dialogue about how they would construct their own libraries.

YASSS! So much imagination and spunk and beautiful illustrations! I cannot get enough of this character! I, too, would want a sundae bar in my library! Adorable!

I loved this book! The library in it is pretty much my dream library and the stairs in it remind me of those in Harry Potter. The illustrations were cute and there was a good amount of words per page. The book focuses on the power of imagination and uses that power to build the library,

It was an adorable book that kids in kindergarten will absolutely enjoy. I loved seeing the imagination of the little girl with dragons and giants.

It says ages 4-8, but this grandma really loved it! But then books and libraries to keep them in are the best things in the whole world. Especially with giants. And fairies. And DRAGONS! This book is great fun for the whole family. And neighborhood. And town. The illustrations are MARVELLOUS!
I requested and received a temporary digital ARC of this book from Capstone via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

How fun is this?!? I would be super excited to read this in my pre-K classes! There are lots of opportunities for vocabulary building, interactive comprehension assessment, and imagination exercise.
There is a lot of detail and color in the illustrations. This would work equally well for large group, small group, or individual reading and there are so many opportunities to ask questions and engage the reader in the story. It would probably make a good platform for an art activity where students could draw or build their own libraries.
This would be a great addition to any pre-K to early elementary classroom library!
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

This was a really cute book, very imaginative. I enjoyed the silly writing and creative spirit of the little girl dreaming up her own library.

If you were a child, what would you put into a library? Dragons? Yes. Giants? Yes. Zip lines and bathtubs? Of Course. Now if only us pesky library directors would agree.
