Sloths are so great. Like, wholesomely great. I freaking adore sloths. So of course I loved this book with a cute little sloth on every page! But Sasha is such a little scene stealer too! Honestly, I aww'd so much at this. A story of speedy little girl and the slooooooooooow sloth that she finds, and the adventures they take together. Mr Sloth wants her to take it slooooooooooooow and Sasha wanted to go, go, go and eventually a comprise is reached.

CUE ADORABLENESS.

Mindful Mr Sloth is an adorable children's picture book focused on mindfulness and teaching children they get more from slowing down in life and enjoying the present moment than from doing everything too fast and missing out on so much around us.
This book is absolutely adorable and I loved the whole concept of the story. This book is a fun yet important read and teaches a lesson one all children should learn - mindfulness.

I feel my niece should read this! She's exactly like the girl in this book. She could learn something from the sloth!

Cute art and a good story about taking the time to smell the flowers!

Mindful Mr. Sloth is a timely book about the differences in each of us and respecting those differences while learning new experiences.

Sasha is a girl on the go but when she meets Mr. Sloth she also learns about slowing down and breathing and appreciating things differently.

The illustrations clearly show the speed and the slowness the author is trying to relate to the reader. . Thank you #netgalley for letting me review #MindfulMrSloth.

A interesting story to encourage young children the importance of taking their time, slowing down and enjoy things around you.
With our overly busy lifestyles, this is a good reminder of the importance to children as well as parents to just slow down.
Finding the balance between fast Sasha and slow Mr. Sloth makes for a entertaining read.
Beautiful, bright illustrations.

This book is absolutely adorable and SO relevant to children living in 2021. It has become the norm to multitask, and hurry through everything we do in life. Even children are rushed through seemingly everything. Mindful Mr. Sloth is a very powerful story that teaches the importance of slowing down and appreciating the little things in life. I teach 2nd grade, and cannot wait to buy a copy of this book for my classroom. The story is wonderful and the illustrations are super cute and highly engaging. My kids will love this book!!

Sometimes it's nice to slow down and smell the flowers. This book is a cute way to teach kids mindfulness and how to stop and enjoy the things around you. It's a good reminder for us as parents too. Life is nonstop these days. Stop and smell the flowers. Also, I loved this artwork. So bright and fun!

What you to Netgalley and the publisher for the review copy.

Stories that include children of color are important. Representation matters. I am a counselor and can see myself using this book in play therapy with young children. The story effectively explains mindfulness in child appropriate language. Illustrations are beautiful.

The pictures are fantastic! Follow Sasha as she takes her friend Mr. Sloth with her through different activities. While Mr. Sloth is slow he helps Sasha learn to stop and smell the roses.

There’s not much to say about this one. I suggest you read it with your little ones and discuss how we spend so much time racing though life that we miss the simple beauty in life.

I thought that illustrations were vibrant and uber adorable. That balanced the important message of mindfulness in the story for a winning book.

Some people go slow, some people go fast, everyone has their own personal speed. But what happens when two individuals with polar opposite speeds met? Sasha is an adorable fast paced girl who wants to do and experience everything. Sometimes she may not take into consideration those around her but she has the best intentions. Mr Sloth by far stole the show for me. He was gentle and easy going, allowing Sasha to take the wheel for their adventures. Sash tries to help Mr. Sloth speed up but fails. Instead of becoming frustrated Sash tries to help. I feel in love with the calm way Hudson introduced the slower speed that Mr. Sloth represents. He did not force Sasha to interact with the world in a slower pace but did it organically and allows Sasha to work her way through slowing down her speed. The illustrations were clean, colorful and filled with emotion. Sasha and Mr. Sloth both had individual characteristics that were seen in the illustrations.

A great book for both young and grown-ups.
When everyday life in a fast pace, we forgot to slow down.
Sasha and Mr. Sloth are perfect match friends. They figured out that to compromise themselves for each other. One takes two step behind, and the other one just takes one step forward.
Love this story and illustrations!

Sasha has one speed- fast! She loves to do lots of things at once! Mr. Sloth has one speed- slow! Can he teach Sasha to stop and smell the roses 🌹 once in a while?!

Seriously this book is adorable! We read it and loved it! I asked my 6 year old what she liked best and.... “the pretty pictures!” (Imagine in a slow sloth like voice!) 😂

I'm definitely pre-ordering Mindful Mr. Sloth by Katy Hudson! The illustrations are amazing! So colorful, fun, detailed, and whimsical. Wonderful diversity and inclusivity in the cast of characters, too. Most of all, I adore the message of finding calm and stillness, and being mindful. There are so many wonderful things to notice along the way, if only you can take the time to stop and appreciate them.

I thought this book was cute, and a way in which to bring the idea of mindfulness to young readers. I believe there could've been a better adjustment of the main character to understand the thought process of the sloth instead of immediately learning to slow down.

Mindful Mr Sloth tells the story of Sasha who is always in a rush! She has so much to do but so little time. When she meets Mr Sloth she has to slow down and learn to enjoy things at a slower pace.
First, I really liked the colourful and happy illustrations - they add so much to the story. I think it is definitely a great conversation starter with your little one. Why is it important to enjoy the things you do, why should you connect with nature, why should you sometimes slow down etc.
I would give this book to my friend's toddler if it was written in our language!

Sasha is always on the go. She has many interests and always tries to tackle them quickly so she can hurry and move on to the next. Then, one day, she meets a sloth. Mr. Sloth shows Sasha that it's okay to stop and smell the flowers from time to time. Mr. Sloth reminds her that it's okay to take your time and enjoy yourself. This is a beautiful book, both in illustrations and message. It will remind both parents and children to slow down.
