The Virgin Hunt Games Volume 3 is book three in Mel Teshco’s Virgin Hunt Games erotica series.

Violet entered the Games with a mission: see and be seen.

Prince Zel Oscar of the planet Qiymonia entered the Games on a dare, one he now wishes he’d ignored.

Mel Teshco continues the success of the series. World-building remains above par. Another 4 out of 5.

Violet always felt unloved, somehow different then everyone else. When she is paired with Prince Zel in the games, can she manage to keep her virginity and stay alive to win the games?

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

The Virgin Hunt Games was a super fun, sexy romp as I expected it to be. I haven't read the first two stories in the series, but I imagine this as a sexy, steamy Hunger Games-like novella. Violet and Zel are not only hot for each other, they are good for each other too.

Survial, sex, and betrayal in this reality fantasy adventure experience. Each book builds on the same foundation - the hunter versus the hunted.

If you love steamy erotic sci-fi then this book is for you. Not for the faint of heart as there is a heavy balance
of scorch and descriptive scenes when characters are fighting for the prize.

Happy Reading

I thought the story was good, though I didn't like it as much as the first book. I think in general they're just very repetitive so once you read one, you know what the storyline will be like. That is fine in most books but in such a vastly different than normal book - aliens? Sex games? - there should be some kind of diversity besides what the very humanoid aliens look like.

I wished the author spend more time creating the world and making the readers feel like a part of the world and with the characters. I felt really distant and couldn't care less because the book does not have any world-building at all and the characters are too one-dimensional, I can't make myself sympathize with any of them. It is disappointing because the premise is so good and has a lot of potentials, but the execution falls flat for me.

This was my first read by Mel. I loved this book! It kept my attention and kept me on the edge of my seat! There was a lot of action! I love the concept of the book and can't wait to read more by this author!

This is the first I've read by this author. The characters and other alien creatures and settings were vibrant and interesting. There's lots of action, some angst and emotion and it definitely lives up to its erotica genre. An entertaining and action-filled story. I'll be going back to read books one and two of the series.

Every now and then I'm in the mood for an over-the-top bonkers sci-fi romance book and The Virgin Hunt Games, Volume 3 reads very much like The Hunger Games meets the Olympics meets Big Brother.

There were some really great elements to the story - it's fast-paced and engaging. As a reader, we're not left with a lot of time to question much about this future Earth where sex-sports are televised live and feature humans and alien races alike.  Contestants are trapped inside a specially designed building, with males hunting down their chosen 'mates' with specific rules on how to earn points. Teshco really leaned into some cool ideas with the ways the contestants were challenged - an indoor volcano! - as well as a mix of alien and human technology.

On the flip side of that, there were some elements that I could have lived with out, like a group of wild/hungry dogs (who've clearly been mistreated) being dropped into the competition to attack the contestants.

Violet is our "human" heroine who's not like other girls - she's got purple skin and has been searching her whole life to find her birth parents and she believes that being in a live-televised event like The Virgin Hunt Games will get her enough publicity exposure that they'll see her and come forward. She's very unsure of herself and her self-doubt is something that hinders her in the competition. Her mate (and the one person she needs to avoid) is Prince Zel who ended up in the games on a dare and is intrigued by the woman he's supposed to be chasing.

Being a relatively short, erotic sci-fi romance novel things get heated pretty quickly, and there are plenty of steamy scenes, but there's enough action happening in between to move the story forward. Overall it was an enjoyable read.

What an intriguing erotic novel with fascinating and alluring content, enticing the reader to want to continuously read and want more. Certainly a book that has been written to include such an enticing story line. It ticks all the boxes in relation to it’s genre and successfully captivates the reader into the contents. I would go as far as to say that it certainly without a doubt is a must read on all accounts. The cover itself is enough to draw any reader into its grasps. Overall, I found this novel to be pleasing and entertaining. It’s aways great when you able to visual scenarios from the novel you are reading, in your mind. The title, well, that speaks for itself. Need i say more. It definitely addresses the genre , right there in the title of the novel. The “ Virgin Hunt” games.

None the less, all those who enjoy the erotica genre will not be disappointed. This novel aims to please, The author has written an great novel and is to be commended.

Overall, I have no issue at all other then to recommend this novel 5 stars as I was happy please and quite satisfied with this read.

A book that no doubt will be highly sought over in the future.

This is the third book in the series and is a PNR strangers to lovers; set on Earth in the future. The competitors seem to mostly be humanoid aliens, but there are no language or physical incompatibility issues. The story feels like a very warped TV reality show. Games where ten paired couples (male and female) unknown to each other prior to the games, compete for credits through carnal activities. The females attempt to maintain their virginity or failing that to have varied sex acts with anyone but their mate. Add in to this life threatening beasts, wild ravenous dogs, earthquakes and flowing lava!
The concept is quite different and there is much action, drama, and angst. However, the character development is greatly lacking. Our h, Violet with hair and skin to match her name, was not appealing. With a past including abandonment, physical and emotional abuse, I understand her trust issues, but she is not likable. Our H, Zel; was much more appealing and it was easy to understand his motivations. The sub characters were only minimally developed. The ending was very abrupt, has a predictable twist which is followed by a rapid HEA. This is my first book by this author. I think it has potential, but it needs improvement. I received an ARC from Net Galley; but I voluntarily read the book and the review is my own.

Prince Zel is taking part in the Virgin Hunt Games because he was kinda tricked into signing up. But he also has something to prove. While Violet was there to make as much money as she could and to prove that she wasn't worthless the way her adoptive parents made her feel.

There are the hunters and the hunted in these games. There are ten of each. The goal is for the hunters to capture their intended hunted and have sex with them bringing them as much pleasure as possible. The hunted try to either have sex with as many of the hunters as possible while keeping away from their intended or they can get extra points for having kinky sex. They make more money for doing different things during the games and evading capture for the full 7 days from their intended would be one of the ways to make a lot of money. The women (hunted) are there to lose their virginity on intergalactic tv and make money doing it while the hunters are there to give the women as much pleasure as possible. They get more money the more orgasms they give the hunted. Think Hunger Games but they aren't trying to kill each other and the producers throw in dangerous situations all the time to keep the show entertaining. At least they aren't supposed to.

Violet was hoping that with all the exposure of being on the show, her birth parents would come forward and explain to her why they sent her away. But when her birth circumstances are revealed, it was a little heartbreaking to say the least.

The one part about this book that I didn't care for was when the show dropped in a bunch of half starved wild dogs to hunt the contestants down. I thought that part could have been left out since I've never been one to think animal abuse of any kind was ok to add to a book just for the shock value of it and I thought that could have been left out. Yes, there are monster animals in this book that are there for pretty much the same reason but we don't see the monsters as our pets so for me it was different.

I liked the ending of the book and thought it ended up being an entertaining read.

I was given an e-ARC of this book via NetGalley but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

When the stakes are higher than just monetary, the Games may just be the best way to succeed. For Violet, winning means finding her family, putting away her doubts and shame, and creating a new future. But her insecurities never give her a moment's rest. For Zel, his entry was based off of a dare. But a secret desire to prove that he is more than his outward appearance and playboy reputation forces him to acknowledge his own regrets. Can these two matched hunter/hunted find the happiness they seek while staying one step ahead of the dangers in the game? Will they survive the unexpected threats that could end their life in the most painful ways?

"…the Virgin Hunt Games where sex, violence, and danger lurked around every corner." ~ The Virgin Hunt Games, Volume 3
*****
Rating: 4 stars
Steam: 5 flames
Genre: Sci-fi / Alien / Dark Romance
*****
It's the Virgin Hunt Games; where 10 males (hunters) and 10 virgin females (hunted) compete for credits through carnal activities. The twist, hunters earn credits by engaging with their assigned mate, whereas the hunted earn credits by either maintaining their virginity or by getting freaky with anyone BUT their mate. This book has MM, MMF, MF, FF, & MMMF. Anything goes in the games.

Violet (hunted), abandoned by her parents, placed with an earth couple has never felt loved. Violet's father's sole focus towards her was to "cure" her of her violet hair and violet skin. He put her through countless medical procedures and made Violet feel less than because of the color of her skin, Violet's only desire is to feel loved and desired. The only other man that ever entered her life, did it for personal gain. She is desperate for affection and doesn’t trust anyone.

Zel (hunter), has a reputation for being a player but is also the "People's Prince". His country loves him, and the women love him more. One drunken night and his pride has led to his entry into the games. Zel is charming, kind, and protective and I think he is my favorite hunter.

Zel and Violet have instant chemistry and are faced with countless trials that will test them mentally, emotionally, and physically. Will either of them be able to let go of their insecurities and let the other one in? Can there be more for a Prince and a commoner?

I enjoyed Zel's character, but it took me longer to warm up to Violet. I understood Violet's motivation though. This book has extreme violence, steam that is off the charts, and a twist at the ending that you won't see coming. The games certainly were intense this year! I have enjoyed this unique series and recommend it if you want to try a creative take on an alien romance.

As a regular reader of these books, I do have to wonder how the author keeps it fresh, because at the end of the day it’s roughly the same thing (man = hunter/woman = hunted) plenty of naughty and kinky times.
But again the author has put a spin on this story.

Violet is different from most of the humans/aliens that live here, her skin is a blue shade, and only wanting to fit in after living in the orphanage she went through painful experiments to change the colour of her skin, which unfortunately didn’t work, digging into the archives she couldn’t even find someone who looked remotely like her! Violet felt like a freak, if she wins the Games, then maybe her real parents would see her and want to claim her. If not, then winning the Games would get her the adoration from the fans, Violet would take love anyway she could get it.....

Zel is crowned prince, women flock to him, and he uses that to his advantage, but everyone he sleeps with knows he won’t commit, not even the ones who try to trick him into sleeping with him!
He’s a combat pilot for his world, he loves that feeling of freedom.
But after a silly dare, Zel finds himself a participant in an off world game. So he needs to win it and then get back to his world.....

Object of game: The females have to hide from hunters, the longer they evade them, the money they can bank. If they do get caught and it’s not by their designated hunter, then she can have sex with them (kinkier gets more credits, more partners the same) but if they are caught by their hunter, then he wins the money!
Females also have to be virgins (hence the name) not sure why, maybe a virgin runs faster than someone who’s not a virgin?!

As the previous books, it’s full of steamy moments, but it’s also filled with snippets of both Zel and Violets pasts, how both have struggled within the confines of their world, how both only want to be loved for themselves....

And like the the previous books, once the two main characters have sex, it’s hard for them to be with anyone else! But it does happen after miscommunication and a few incidents that have them confused about each other. Is it the hormones they are given to “bond” them together for the week? Is it the fact the hunters aren’t allowed to have intercourse until the games?
It is it fate playing it games and giving these unloved beings a chance at finding happiness?

So will Violet ever find the love she truly craves? Probably not, if her biological parents didn’t want her, and her adoptive parents wanted to change her, then why would a prince ever look at her more than once? Surely once the week of Games is over, Zel will go back to his adoring planet and Violet will be left alone once more.....

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

I don’t know why but I am wildly addicted to these books. There’s something so fascinating and addicting about them? The plot is relatively similar to the first two books in this series, but each hunter/hunted has a different motive. I think this was my favorite in the series. I enjoyed Violet and her steel reserve. Zel was also an interesting character. It was nice to see them with almost similar motives.

I think the pace of this is great, the character arcs are great and i think the Insta love is a bit more believable. I liked that they stayed true to themselves, while learning about themselves. This was a nice book with lots of steamy scenes! I highly recommend it!

Life isn’t fair. Just ask Violet who mysteriously arrived in a space capsule at an orphanage as a baby. She has one goal to find her biological parents, and winning the Virgin Hunt Games will ensure her face is plastered on every screener across the universe. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Mel Teshco is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book

When I saw this book listed on NetGalley I was sooo intrigued. Virgin...Hunt...Games...WHAT? Then add the shirtless guy on the cover and I'm hooked. Although this says Volume 3, all books are standalones.

The story takes place in the future where other places with alien races are prevalent in our society.

Violet, our FMC, was born on another planet but shipped to Earth when she was a baby. She has abnormal features which makes her life difficult. She has violet skin, gold eyes and violet / brown hair. She was adopted by a human couple who hoped to change her skin tone by the father's skin clinic. When that failed, she felt like she wasn't good enough. She enters the Virgin Hunt Games as a "hunted" in a chance to earn tons of money and fame, and the chance for her picture to reach her biological parents.

Zel is a prince. He is participating in the Games to show that he is worthy of being a prince and he's not just a playboy. He is playing the games as Violets mate and "Hunter"

The goal of the game is simple. Violet must stay a virgin until the end of the week. If she chooses to not hide, she may sleep with any other male who is not Zel. Zel's objective is to find Violet and sleep with her. The kinkier the sex, the more the point. Player with the most points wins the money.

Overall, it was a good book. Tons of smut and quite a bit of actual cute romance. Oh! And there is my favorite hidden identity trope. If you're looking for an interesting smutty book, look no further.

The Virgin Hunt Games comes out this Friday, March 12th!

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for the advanced reader copy and the chance to read and review! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I liked the characters and there was plenty of delicious spice.
This storyline was better and more enjoyable than book two but I still wish there were books following the characters beyond the VHG. I don't think I'll read anymore that are just focused on the VHG. I feel like it can only be done so many times.

In this book we follow the third Virgin games where 10 hunters and 10 hunted try to survive 7 days in order to earn money and wealth.

In this particular volume we follow Prince Zel who decided to participate in the games because people always doubt me and his abilities. One of his rivals said that he is only good in the sky and has no actual combat skills so he decided to prove him and everybody else on his planet wrong. We also follow Violet who is violet, literally. She has violet hair with chocolate highlights, gold eyes, and violet/blue skin. She was sent away from her home planet when she was young and has lived on Earth since. Violet just wants to be loved for her and not have people continue to try and change her. When Zel and Violet are matched we see a fight of their will to determine whether they will avoid each other or have sex with each other.

Trigger Warnings: parental abandonment, sexual assault, rape, claustrophobia, nyctophobia
