I found The Cougar Candidate by Will Worsley Kudos to be a refreshing and humorous read on the ridiculousness world of politics. If you like politics, have a sense of humor, and are in need of a good laugh, I would recommend.

I was hopeful about this book, a satirical story about a female running for president after there being a scandal with the other candidate and blackface.  But I just couldn't make it through.  I forced myself to read half of it, but it seems like it all went over my head.  It seems to have great reviews on GoodReads but for me it was a DNF.

The name of our heroine, Patty Pitypander tells you that this is a satirical novel, but coming on the heels of the recent past it's sometimes hard to remember that it's satire. I occasionally found myself thinking --wow this is over the top, and then I remembered it's satire.

If you enjoy politics and satire you'll likely enjoy Patty and her journey. If you don't have a sense of humor then this isn't the book for you.

I love politics and as someone who works in politics, I found this book wildly entertaining. Well done by Will Worsley.
