I love this series, It reminds me of an older version of Cork and Fuzz or Frog and Toad or other cute animal buddy stories such as Wind in the Willows! Ithink all ages could appreciate and enjoy reading and sharing these books. Just charming! and the illustrations were just so nostalgic! Beautiful all around,. Well-written.

These books are so cute and weird. I love them. I'm a huge fan of Klassen's art already, but the story is just...so good at going unexpected places. So sweet. So weird. So great.

Egg Marks the Spot is an excellent second entry in the Skunk and Badger series. Skunk and Badger are just how we left them -- living together, mostly harmoniously, with Skunk cooking and chatting, while Badger does Important Rock Work.

This book is just as cute as the first one, with Tiny Orange Hen making an important reappearance. It introduces some new characters, and takes Skunk and Badger on a little trip away from home. It is a bit scattered at times, and perhaps tried to pack too many disparate parts in one small book, but it remains a wonderful read with charming illustrations.

Thank you to Algonquin Young Readers and NetGalley for the ARC!

The second volume in the Skunk and Badger books returns readers to the characters they grew to love in the first book, but for me a bit of the magic is gone. The thing I liked best in the first book was the Odd Couple nature of the book, the way the characters fought but ultimately realized their mistakes and became friends. The push-pull of the relationship is gone in the second book. The first book set a very high bar, and though this is a fine story that will surely entertain young readers, it doesn't quite get there. That said, Timberlake adds new details to the world that are simply charming, like Skunk's devotion to the New Yak Times Book Review. Review from e-galley.
