Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for giving me a free copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review.
When I saw that this book was being compared to Riley Sager and Shari Lapena novels I knew I had to read it. This book was exciting and had me on my toes throughout, which is not always the case today with so many thriller books coming out. I look forward to books that have me right there with the characters trying to put things together up until the reveal. The reveal was not one I suspected which I adore.
The only thing I thought would have made it a little better is if I had enjoyed the characters more. However, I also find that now a lot of characters in thriller novels are not written to be the most likable and that is part of the genre in some ways as well.
I would recommend this book to any of my thriller-loving friends.
I loved it! I was hooked from page 1 until the very end. Very well written with an incredible ending I never saw coming. Any one who loves a good thriller needs to read this book.
This was honestly such a great thriller. It was filled with so much suspense and I was blown away but how much I ended up enjoying this. I went into it with low expectations and wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did. Normally I don’t care about the characters in thrillers but that was not the case here. I cared so much for them and wanted to keep reading until I reached the last page. This is definitely a must read thriller!
I just couldn’t get into this. It wasn’t holding my attention. I think it partly has to do with having read similar books. I enjoyed her last book a lot so I’m pretty bummed
This book was a pleasant surprise! I received this netgalley but had never heard of the author. This books was a mind blowing thriller so if the is your genre pick it up right away! Three friends get out of the city for a girls weekend and that is when everything starts happening!
This was such a good thriller! I thought that this book kept me on my toes the entire time. The twists and turns were very surprising which I loved!!
This was an average thriller for me, but it was fun. Would recommend to a friend or fellow thriller enthusiast.

The perfect girls' weekend turns deadly in this twisty unforgettable thriller that is perfect for fans of Shari Lapena and Riley Sager.
YES! The above-named authors are fantastic and a weekend with friends is always exciting, right?
Three women, who’ve bonded over their relationship issues, decide to take a relaxing weekend for themselves. Some well-deserved pampering and destressing.
They don’t make it very far before an incident detours them. No problem, they find a place to stay, a bar, and a fun night of margarita drinking. One of them has a very enjoyable night! One of them thinks she’s going to have an enjoyable night. And one of them doesn’t return to the rental the next day.
I got sucked into this secret-filled thriller immediately. Not all of the twists were completely surprising, but the final one at the conclusion was a jaw-dropper!! Shut the front door! Where did that come from?
Thank you to G.P. Putnam's Sons for providing this ARC through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Love this book. Full of twist. The plot was so great. I actually read it 2 times just to make sure I got everything plus it was really that good.
Eh. This book was ok. It was a lot of back and forth and towards the end it was a little intense. But it was nothing like some of the books I have read before that were super intense. I wouldn’t classify this as a thriller but more of a tale of a very jealous woman who caused a lot of havoc. This isn’t a very good review but then it wasn’t a very good book. Nothing moved me.
I am still working on completing this book and look forward to updating my review on it at a later time. I was captured by the cover and description from the beginning, but still need to make time to finish reading it.
Wow! What can I say?! This is my first book written by Leah Konen, but it certainly will not be my last! This was an exciting, fast-paced rollercoaster of a ride, and I did not want to get off the ride! But boy, when it ended was I happy I took the journey. When three close friends get together and decide to take a little girls' trip after all their relationship woes, one has an ex who shows up, of course he did, and then their friend goes missing. From this point on, it gets wilder and wilder, and there are so many people that become involved and entangled in the web. I cannot wait to get a copy for the library, and my mom to read, so I can talk about it to someone!

The girls of ‘Sergeant Diana’s Lonely Hearts Club’ are taking a vacation together. Sam, Margaret and Diana are taking a weekend to forget about their exes, to drink and relax and build their strength to start over. At least, that's the plan until their rental car key goes missing in a random town and their night out at the local bar ends up with a dead body and a missing woman. What was just a detour to their weekend turns into a twisted, thrilling investigation.
Oh my word, it's hard to review this one without giving a lot away. Sam, Margaret and Diana all have secrets. The greatest of all? One of them has purposefully entangled their lives together, landing them in this seemingly random town. I have so many issues with these women feeling safe and secure with virtual strangers just by moving them into the "best friend" category of their life. This is unrealistic and not presented in a way that helps you suspend reality. Even worse, the women don't seem to see a huge issue with the fact that they know very little about their one missing friend. This has red flags all over it. The saving grace of this book is Leah Konen's writing, she keeps is fast-paced, entertaining, and twisted. I may not have believed a single bit of the three friends, but I was entertained and read through to the last page.
It's a thrilling read about trust and deceit, it's totally fun to read, just prepare yourself to suspend reality if you can. I think others will love this Leah Konen release.
QUICK TAKE: I am a Leah Konen fan! I really enjoyed her previous book, ALL THE BROKEN PEOPLE, and there's a lot to like about THE PERFECT ESCAPE despite it ultimately leaving me a little underwhelmed. The book is fast-paced and propulsive and the mystery is very engaging, but the twists and end reveals left me wanting more. That being said, I look forward to reading what's next from the author!
Secrets, quick chapters and lots of twists, this was an interesting read! If you love multiple twists and turns and easy to follow storylines, this is your book!
The Perfect Escape is a weekend getaway for three friends. I really enjoyed this thriller of a book, it was suspenseful and twisty! Four stars!
Loved this one. Strong character development, plenty of action in the plot. Easy to follow the characters, even though there are several, because they were developed so well. Would definitely read this author again!
4.5/ stars. Another great book by Leah Konen! This book had some great foreshadowing and while I did guess some of the mystery, the ending was great. Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for an early review copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own :)
This was a fun read. It kept you guessing and even though I figured out part of it there was still plenty that I didn’t. It’s a quick and easy read that will keep you intrigued throughout!

Thrillers and I have a very complicated relationship. I love picking up a thriller and getting sucked into the fast paced drama and secrets. However, it feels like most thrillers just fall apart after the halfway point and the ending leaves me feeling bamboozled.
I can say I was pleasantly surprised by this one!
I was immediately sucked into the lives and drama of the three divorced friends and their little getaway. Then when one goes missing? Ooh..I was hooked. I was eating up all their relationship drama and marriage issues, it was fun and each woman had some secrets they were hiding.
All the women were pretty infuriating, but I still wanted to figure out what was going on.
This book had me going through so many different scenarios in my head, I was trying so hard to figure out where this book was going. I never did though.
It kept me on my toes until the very end.
The ending was also satisfying and jaw dropping, which I was very happy about.
Overall, a fun thriller and I can’t wait to read more from this author!
