Book club kits are great for those of us who are new to navigating leading one. This is a really good one
This is an amazing resource for anyone looking for guidance on starting a book club or even if you just want recommendations that you haven't already seen a million times.
This is a great, succinct resource brochure. It provides details on a wide variety of options for book clubs and include a few questions which indicate to me to see where the conversation can lead to. I will be looking for other brochures like this.
A terrific sampler for adding to your TBR or for making book club selections. A must-read and handy resource for bibliophiles!
Fantastic sampler to understanding the booking coming out during a time period. We enjoy using these during book club meetings when trying to plan future reads. Please keep these coming.
An excellent brochure with short description of many popular books. Great when searching for what to read next. It reminded of a book I'd read some years ago that I had very much enjoyed so it has now become our next book club read.
I was looking for book suggestions, as well as inspiration to come up with book-club questions. This document delivers on both. Thanks for compiling this type of resource!
This Book Club Brochure presents potential books that you could read for a book club with a short synopsis followed by some example discussion questions. I really liked the format of this brochure particularly the discussion questions as these felt like a great way to gauge the themes of a book and whether it would be appropriate for your book club. I liked that a wide range of genres were included as potential options.
I LOVED THIS BROCHURE. It can be hard to pick a book club book that the majority wold enjoy. In this brochure there are many book choices with brief descirptions, key points, all in an easy to read format. I appreciated the various genres being represented and saw some of my own personal favorite books. I loved the layout of the pages and the useability of the formatting. I will have to keep my eyes open to more of these because it also introduced me to books I've never heard of and ones I think would work well for my own bookclub.
What a great concept! Thank you to Penguin Random House Library Marketing and NetGalley for offering a digital review copy. The 36-page volume delivers exactly what it advertises on its cover: suggested books and discussion questions for book clubs at your library. Several popular selections in various fiction genres are included with a page each of book information and questions. Also are included are suggested titles in teen fiction, Spanish language, nonfiction, and audiobooks. A very attractive and useful resource!
I loved this brochure! There were so many options across multiple genres that I think there is a book for everyone in this list. I liked the format structure and the discussion questions add a really nice touch. I found quite a few books on this list that I have never heard of and am excited to add to my never-ending TBR.
I really enjoyed this brochure! It works so well on Kindle. There is a full size photo of each book cover and a brief description of the book. The book club questions were excellent. I’ve read a few of the titles in the brochure and really enjoyed the discussion questions. There is a wide variety of books recommended. Really nice find! Thank you for this ARC.
Sorry, i thought this one is a reading book but it was a book club kit. My fault too fast to request the title without understand the caption. This one is good enough to read. So you can know the whole story what it talks about.
This is a good list of book club ideas for those who are looking to diversify there book club reading options.
I love these! It gives me ideas of what to read for myself, as a buddy read and for my book club! I can’t get enough of these’
The best novels in Mystery, Suspense, Romance, Memoir, Literary Fiction, and much more are all included in one book. The book's goal is to make it easier for readers to choose their next book to read and for book club leaders to browse novels and genres and choose which ones would be a great fit for their group.
I enjoy how the Readers' Advisory comes before the book overview and author information. This is useful for librarians in assisting patrons in finding their next favorite book and one that their book club group will adore.
Some Readers’ Advisory include ReadALikes. It first shows the novel’s cover for example; Agatha Arch Is Afraid of Everything by Kristin Bair is included. The Readers’ Advisory states: “Fans of Where’d You Go, Bernadette and Elinor Oliphant Is Completely Fine will love this clever romp” this by Publishers Weekly. Then it gives an overview of the book. Discussion questions for this book. Are included, anywhere from 4 – 7 per novel. Here’s one example “Which characters did you most relate to and why? Were there characters you disliked?
This is a wonderful resource where leaders and readers get a peek at what is heading down publishing row for the fall/winter season. It helps you plan ahead.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I requested and received a copy of this book from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. This is a great resource for book clubs! Not only do you get a list of ideas for books with a short synopsis, you also get discussion questions. I wish more of these were available.
What a great forever resource-- I want every Book Club Brochure! Whether it's for informing book club choices or adding to my personal TBR, library holds, and to-purchase lists, this is a useful text.
This brochure provides a clear overview of interesting books. Not only for book clubs, but also for individual readers. It's very practical how the cover and synopsis are presented first, followed by a few sample questions that could enhance the reading experience (you can find even more questions on the website mentioned at the bottom of each page). These questions do not only enquire about favourite aspects of the book. They also try to make you connect the book with your own life, experiences and perceptions. The presented books are part of a very diverse selection, not shunning specific themes. At the end, there are also suggestions for specific groups, like Teen Book Groups and Spanish-Language Book Group, this is also a real added value to thebrochure. On top of this, the layout of the brochure is really appealing.
I'll definitely consult this brochure and the others in search of relevant recommendations and book club questions for our next book of the month.
This a a great resource for book lovers, book clubbers and librarians, it provides numerous books and descriptions to help entice your next read.
I really enjoy Bookish resources and will keep an eye out for future editions.
