I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Leigh Duncan is a favorite author of mine, and I love the Heart's Landing series! I love a good series that lets you return again and again to a setting you love, and Heart's Landing hits the mark. Enemies to lovers or rival-based love stories are some of my favorites, so I loved the banter between Evelyn and Ryan. There's a thin line between love and hate! This was a fun, easy read, and I'd love to see more from Heart's Landing!

A Waterfront Wedding
by Leigh Duncan is a delightful romance set in a idyllic, wedding destination town called the Heart's Landing. This is the 3rd book in a series of books set in this location. It tells the story of Evelyn and Ryan, who were born and brought up in this charming town,  and hence have strong attachments to it and have known each other since they have been children. It so happens,  both of their places compete to be the wedding destination for a wedding event and so, both of them compete against each other as well. Sparks fly between the both and their journey towards each other begins, which is the rest of the story.

First off, I very much liked the descriptions of this charming, idyllic,  little town and would really love to visit a place like that, in case it exists. And reading about the place and its weddings has charmed me completely. I really would love to read all the books in this series just to read more about this lovely place. The book has a whole host of characters who are very sweet and are all working in earnest to give all the brides who visit their place, a wonderful wedding.

The story begins with a wedding event  competition and it has been told in a sweet, charming, romantic and idyllic manner. I can understand why Leigh is a  famous author. I just loved the whole book. The only drawback I could think about is that at times the book felt lengthy. Otherwise, the whole book transported me completely into a charming setting and managed to tell me a story about 2 of its lovely residents. I am definitely checking out the remaining books in this series and reading the other books by the author too. Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC.

Weddings take place in Heart's Landing
Best-selling author and award winner Leigh Duncan presents a third wedding taking place in Heart's Landing under the title "A Waterfront Wedding. A Heart's Landing Novel from Hallmark Publishing". Heart's Landing is not only a small town, it is a wedding destination. This year Evelyn (manager of the Captain's cottage in the absence of her cousin Jason who is on his honeymoon with his bride Tara) and Ryan (who wants to turn the abandoned boat factory into a wedding venue called "Boat Works") are "fighting" against one another in the wedding-in-a-week contest in order to present the best wedding for Brianna and Daniel, the engaged couple. But things are not going as they should. One of the problems is that they are friends, but there are also a lot of technical and logistical issues and the interference about such characters as Alicia Thorn (Captain's Cottage event planner) or JeanMarie (owner of the Statue Park). And then there is "Weddings Today", the well-known magazine who is financing the "Wedding-in-a-Week" Contest. The big questions are: Will there be a wedding at the end and what will become of Evelyn and Ryan.
This was the fourth book by Leigh Duncan which I read, the third one of the "Heart's Landing" books (the others being "A Cottage Wedding" and "A Simple Wedding"). Although they take place in the same location they can be read as stand-alones. I really enjoyed the book's great, believable, strong, and charming characters. It is a funny, heartwarming story, a clean romance and a relaxing and enjoyable read which I highly recommend to all readers who love romances with a wedding topic. And, once again, Hallmark Publishing included one of their special recipes, this time the one for Slow-Braised Lamb with Apricot Madeira Sauce.
The complimentary copy of this book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley free of charge. I was under no obligation to offer a positive review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

After reading books one and two of The Heart’s Landing series I had hoped that one of the minor characters from these two books could have her own “love for the ages” story. My wish came true as “A Waterfront Wedding” features Evelyn Hart’s love story with Ryan Court. Both Evelyn and Ryan are hoping that their wedding venue will be selected by an engaged couple who have been selected to participated in Wedding in a Week. During the Wedding in a Week festivities, Daniel and Brianna are shepherded around town by Evelyn and Ryan in the hopes of planning their perfect wedding in one week’s time. You know there is going to be some drama no matter which wedding venue gets picked as part of this year’s Wedding in a Week festivities. The author kept me in suspense because I really was not sure how it was going to all pan out until the book was nearly finished.

I loved the whole concept of having a Wedding in a Week. Having a talented, experienced, and compassionate Heart’s Landing community help plan your wedding sounds like a dream come true. I keep wishing that this town were real, and I know that I’m not the only one who feels this way after reading other book reviews! This was a feel-good book with believable characters and a picturesque setting that made me want to keep coming back to read and wish for more. I sure hope that Leigh Duncan has plans for adding more books to this series. It was a delight to read. Thanks to Hallmark Publishing and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. All thoughts expressed are my honest opinion of this book.

My Review:

This is the perfect clean and sweet romance for those times when you want something light-hearted and fun to read. Evelyn and Ryan were best friends when they were young, but went separate ways as they grew up and both moved away from Heart’s Landing. Now they are friendly rivals in Heart’s Landing, as both of them are promoting their wedding venues for the “Wedding in a Week” event. When the young couple who has been selected as the winners of the event struggle with unexpected difficulties that arise that could hinder their wedding even happening, Evelyn and Ryan work together to find solutions to give this deserving couple their dream wedding. In the process, their friendship is renewed—-along with a hope that friendship just might deepen into love.

As you read this story, you have to cheer for both couples to find their happily-ever-after. Evelyn and Ryan are wonderful people, and their commitment to the bride and groom, as well as their community, is admirable. I’ve loved each book in this “Heart’s Landing” series and hope there’s books more to come! And yes—this story is perfect for being made into a movie by Hallmark.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This is such a sweet story. If you love Hallmark romances, you will love this. Evelyn Heart is covering for her cousin while he is away on his honeymoon. She is a little over-whelmed with running the Captain's Cottage, the premier wedding venue in Heart's Landing. Now there is a new venue in town. It is owned by an old friend of her cousin. She idolized Ryan when she was younger but felt she never had a chance with him. Then both Evelyn and Ryan get dropped into the middle of the Wedding-in-a-Week event. The bride and groom need a lot of hand-holding and encouragement. Evelyn and Ryan are up for the job, but can they guard their own hearts. Both adores the other person, but neither feels that have chance with that person.

Such a fun second chance story. Heart's Landing and the characters are are kind and generous. It is so nice to read a feel-good, uplifting story.

A Waterfront Wedding is the third book in the Heart's Landing series, and although each book can be read as a stand-alone, it's fun to read them in order to really feel the warmth and love in this charming town of Heart's Landing. If I were getting married, this is truly the place I would want that ceremony to happen.

As with the first two books in this series, author Leigh Duncan lures her readers into this charming small town that is so easy to visualize that you feel like you are right there, surrounded by quaint little shops and horse drawn carriages. Her descriptions are so lovely that you never want to leave. This is sweet romance at its finest!

We meet Evelyn in the second book of this series, A Cottage Wedding. Ryan is new to the series, but not new to Evelyn. She has had an interest in him since their school days! And Ryan has been interested in Evelyn for just as long. When the two are thrown together as competitors in the Wedding-In-A-Week contest, new sparks develop that cannot be ignored.

If you like stories about second chances, both in a love relationship and in a family relationship, this is the book for you. As for me... I'm hoping there is another book in this series in the future. Oh! And be sure to check out the recipe at the end of the story!!

This book left me with a great big goofy grin, partly because of the sweet ending and partly because there is a recipe at the end of the story. Reading how to bake the Slow Braised Lamb With Apricot Madeira Sauce had me salivating. I can’t wait to get cooking.
Back to the story. Set in the fictitious town of Hearts Landing near Newport Rhode Island, this is a friends to lovers story. As the title suggests, weddings are a central theme, specifically the wedding of Brianna and Daniel, winners of the Wedding In A Week contest. I loved reading about all the trimmings that go into a formal wedding though I truly felt for the bridal couple having to choose table linen, cake, themes and so forth. Still, if weddings with the lot are your thing, this book is definitely for you. What I loved about it was the setting, the history of the charming Captain’s Cottage and the beautiful views to be had from The Boat Works. I also loved the people. I couldn’t help but warm to Evelyn and Ryan, but they had a sturdy supporting cast in the people of Hearts Landing. The sense of family and community really made this book special.
