The Tethered Soul of Easton Green is a sweet romantic story about endless love and destiny. It was a quick read that made me tear up at some points. With that being said, I believe this book should be marketed to a young adult audience due to the juvenile writing. The believability of the illness was missing and the romance needed a slower pace in order to build passion and love between the characters. The sci-fi element needed to be developed further because it was randomly revealed without answering the important questions such as how does someone become a tethered soul? Why does it happen?

Overall I think this story has good potential but the sci-fi dial needs to be turned up, questions need to be answered thoughtfully, and the writing needs some sophistication.

I loved this book and I didn't at the same time.

The good:
I was sucked into the story and read the entire book. I could picture the characters, and really liked them all. It was a sad but sweet romance, and it was easy reading. There were a few parts I literally laughed out loud, and I might have even produced a few tears.

The bad:
The relationship felt almost forced, an it was almost too sweet. And the ending - I mean really?

I want to thank the author, the publisher and #netgalley for the ARC - this did not impact my review.

I thought the premise of this story was cute, but the actual book didn't quite meet my expectations. I found Beck's character frustrating at times and Easton just seemed a little too perfect. There were some really sweet moments between the two of them, but most of the characters seemed underdeveloped and I was never really worried about her death because it seemed like such an intangible concept in the story. The ending was really bittersweet and there were definitely times I teared up a bit, but overall the writing felt a bit juvenile at times, and sometimes the jokes in the book seemed kind of inadvertently mean. The romance was really lovely, but this book just wasn't my cup of tea.
