Sad to say, I DNFed this book. I really wanted to love it based on the description, but I just could not get into the story. I kept getting pulled out the story and just finally decided to call it quits. Thank you for the opportunity to read this.

This unfortunately was not for me, I didn't like the writing style and I just had a hard time getting into the story.
I dnfed it after 30%.

This book was a little out of my comfort zone and while it had some good components, I don't think it was the book for me.

DNF at 10%. Unfortunately I just really couldn't click with the writing of this one - a lot of the introduction was either too opaque (in the case of the worldbuilding) or too oversimplified (in the case of the dialogue and book references).

REally enjoyed this book, great read.

Unfortunately, after a while of trying to get into this, I finally decided to DNF. I thought the premise had so much potential, but I just couldn't get into it.

DNF - I loved the idea behind this book and I really wish I had enjoyed reading it, but I couldn’t get into this book at all.

Another DNF for me I'm afraid - it felt like the author was trying to do too much too fast and I found myself getting lost and confused and so couldn't get into the story properly.

Uhm. I find that writing “bad” reviews never gets easier, and I’m lucky that I don’t have to do it a lot. I started reading this book in May 2021 and put it as DNF in November 2021. Every time I felt like reading I would start and immediately get confused or frustrated and it was honestly just a drag to read.

A huge problem with this book is that it tries to do too much and not enough for the world building all at the same time. There’s a million mysteries and names and places, and you get confused. I’m not against having the same amount of awareness as the main protagonist but poor girl, I totally understand why she’s overwhelmed most of the time. So am I. It was a huge turn off for this book, and every time I found the courage to read a chapter I’d be exhausted by the end of it.

There’s quite a few characters that are semi-explored but it all stays very superficial while wanting you to believe that this is an amazing world that’s being built. It really sucks because the concept of this bookseries sounds amazing. The execution was questionable.

Normally I do try to finish books, and it’s been years since I did an official “DNF” but I was on vacation with my sister last november and was ranting to her about having to finish this book where everything and nothing was happening, and I was about 70% through this book… My sister turned to me and said “Why are you still reading this book you’re clearly not enjoying?” and I think I really needed to hear that. I will be more fair and honest with myself about whether I actually want to finish a book or not. Exciting times…

A unique fantasy with an interesting plot and really enjoyable characters. This fantasy has a bookish feel to it and will be the delight of book lovers everywhere. I also thought the world building was awesome and enjoyed the story

I am a true bookworm at heart and felt the premise of the story itself was interesting. Following the death of her grandfather, Beatrix goes on a journey wherein she can hear the whispers of books. She is taken to Zweeshen and learns about herself.

The setting was also intriguing, especially the fact that Beatrix was able to meet some of her own favorite characters in person throughout her journey of decoding the letter left by her mother. The action does not stop there as Beatrix travels through Zweeshen, meeting villains and friends alike.

While it wasn't one of my favorite reads, I am glad I got a chance to read the book and I look forward to the other chronicles.

A fun and refreshing story. It has really good world build and nice and powerful characters. The world building was wonderful and very into detail so it felt like you where really submersed the world. It had a little bit of everything, a little romance, some nice action, amazing fantasy and a beautiful cover. The M/C teaches you a bit what it means be really strong with whatever life throw at you.

This is like my dream book. I always wanted to be a part of the books that I have read and that I could actually dive into the worlds that my favorite authors have written. This was a super complicated and imaginative book that I was so excited to explore. I loved the world building, all the literary references, and how large and detailed the world in this book truly are. It was an amazing read and is a story to all who wish to lose themselves in books for comfort or struggle to fit in.

I loved that books whisper to the main character, this was a great start to the Zweeshen Chronicles series. It was a great read and worked perfectly as a scifi novel.
