This incredibly helpful book presents information in an easy-to-access manner that’s geared toward Christians who want a godly marriage. The author delves deep into Scripture and gives a practical application for our lives. This would make a great gift for newlyweds!

This book has been quite eye opening. Pastor Scott tackles all areas of marriage including roles, submission, love, respect, sexual intimacy. Whatever you can think of about marriage is covered in this book. I had so many ‘aha’ moments and interesting conversations with my husband about the topics. For example, there is a part where he described why creation occurred like it did with Adam coming first before Eve. He then related this to the science of DNA and Chromosomes and I was in awe! I have never heard of that analysis before. Goodness, talk about fresh insights.
There were times that I didn’t agree with Pastor Scott. He spoke of women being happier as house wives. As a career woman, I could not resonate with that at all. However, that is just me. Nevertheless, even in my disagreement, I have to admit that the author is basing his arguments on his interpretation of the scripture.
This book challenged me in many ways and had a positive effect on my marriage. I feel happier, lighter and more equipped for my role as a wife. I like the practical examples that he used that made it easy for me to apply the same in my marriage. I learned so much from reading this and I hope to always apply the lessons. I can’t wait to get a hardcopy of the book for my husband and I. Highly recommended to everyone looking for fresh insights on happy marriages.
The book is filled with scripture and good intentions. Please be a Berean and look up the scriptures and the context within which they were written. The book is filled with concepts and actions that the reader “should” or “must” do. In chapter 13, the author writes that if a husband doesn’t want the wife to participate in Bible studies or other activities that would help the wife grow spiritually that she should submit and pray. What about the scripture that says we are not to forsake the assembling together (Hebrews 10:25)? Please remember to look at passages of scripture in light of the entire message of the Bible.
I received a complimentary digital copy of the book from NetGalley for my honest review.
Book had a lot of good information, but was kind of all over the place. There were sections that were very wordy in trying to get to the point. Better to slow down and read instead of trying to skim quickly. Author also brought some strong personal views to the book but at the same time gave readers permission to find their own views.

Your Marriage God's Way
By Scott LaPierre
This is a very thorough and well-researched book on biblical marriage and its value and purpose. Pastor Scott Lapierre provides Bible passages backing up everything he writes and shares personal stories to show how this application works in real marriages. I have never read anything by this pastor before, but I really appreciate his biblical approach to this book and the heavy use of Bible verses to illustrate his point. This book holds real value for any Christian marriage.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and Netgalley.
In a world where it seems like most marriages are doomed to fail, the author of this book takes a different approach- deeming the value of such a union from God's perspective, drawing on inspiration from the Bible this makes for an interesting read, and an encouraging one as well.
I'd recommend it as a read for anyone looking to get married or even work on their marriage.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.
